I haven't said anything else because at this point I don't have anything else to say. I didn't think saying the same thing again was going to be helpful to anybody, but my thoughts have not changed since that post. It's probably not what you want to hear, but it's where I'm at right now.
I'm going to wait for the data report from our analytics team. If that report changes my mind about anything I will be sure to let people know.
I know there's a thing called ''reward budget'' but this: ''We deliberately include as much of the reward package as we can in the events themselves'' I mean c'mon, T5cc? Seriously? Endgame players has no business with such a reward, i spent a lot of units in this event and the reward i got the most was T5CC, that's insane, i already have hundreds of 5%, 25%, 20%, 50% of t5cc, i don't want to pay 300 units for something i can get in the DAILY EVENT
I hope you guys analyse thoroughly not just the data from the event, but the huge backlash, it's been 8 years since i'm playing this game and i have never seen a banquet event being so criticized
Also the fact the livestream was prerecorded just goes to show you didn’t want to face the community backlash.
There is a reason why the drop rates were released before their break. They knew they were bad and they purposely designed it this way. Same reason why the stream was pre recorded. They don't want to deal with upset customers.

It’s not just about what the analytics show this year. It’s about 2 years running of rubbish banquet crystals that will put off people participating next year, with the exception of whales who will always whale. If you only care about the whales then fine, but be upfront about it when you talk about this event next and be honest. The crystals are mostly empty and you’ve put the rewards behind a ladder. If you can only afford to get a few steps up the ladder the rewards are still awful so better to not spend your units.
Your analytics will include my unit spend this year and you may see that as a success. If you ignore actual satisfaction as a lead metric you won’t see the disenfranchisement I feel which is a big indicator for future spend, both in virtual currency and real life money.
I hope you guys analyse thoroughly not just the data from the event, but the huge backlash, it's been 8 years since i'm playing this game and i have never seen a banquet event being so criticized
We have pretty good analytics tools for the forums and Discord now, so yes that's part of what I'm waiting to see. I have some suspicions about what is going on but I don't know for sure until I can see the report.

I hope something changes your mind. 2023 you wanted to incentive people to do Necropolis, meaning you wanted to reward doing content. 2024 you think its funny to see TBs running around with R3s and want people to catch up to spenders. Am I crazy or this doesn't make any sense at all?
I don't think you understand sarcasm.
He was being sarcastic when he said there would be TBs with 7r3s?... Cause its true now... And as someone actually played for progression I don't find it funny to be sharing a reward pool with a bunch of lazy TBs that won't spend units on revives to clear content and spend thousands on Banquet crystals.
I haven't said anything else because at this point I don't have anything else to say. I didn't think saying the same thing again was going to be helpful to anybody, but my thoughts have not changed since that post. It's probably not what you want to hear, but it's where I'm at right now.

I mean to be fair, that is usually what happens in that gap period between new progression titles. Valiants can't exactly work towards a new one atm yet can they but thronebreakers absolutely can and kabam wants them to move up so when they introduce the next one(which is soon I'm betting) they won't be so far behind they'll just quite the game because it seems Insurmountable. Meanwhile valiants won't have to do that much to be whatever the next title is. Kabam would rather have a bunch of people make the new title because there's no point it making a new one for the handful of top 100 players.
Well that would make sense if they didn't put spending events in the middle that would actually widen the gap.. unless from now on we are playing the game like a rubber band, stretching it and shrinking it back and foward.
Thats...how the game has always been though. Gap grows a bit, banquet hits it shrinks outside of the top 50 or so. Gap grows during spring and July 4th, shrinks again for banquet. That's why the crystals are the way they are. It's always been this way. I've been playing since the beginning minus a few weeks from day 1. I've never not seen it work this way.

With all due respect it sounds like you're trying to be overly reliant on quantitative data rather than qualitative. A truly mixed methods approach works best. (and yes I am also a quant person myself).

It has always been that way in logical gaps, an F2P Valiant vs a spending or whale Valiant. Not trying to fix a gap between TBs and whale Valiants.
i want to make a crappy infographic showing the difference between banquet and cyber monday and how the banquet is objectively so much better value for the units but i'm too lazy.
the community can't even see things objectively and just want a struggle session.
you guys need to look at all the rewards in the banquet milestones and compare it to cyber monday just weeks earlier and be honest with yourselves.
Why do you keep pushing the nonsense idea of comparing it to CM?... Compare it to other banquets, the last 2 banquets have been terrible. They don't even hit the mark on the essence of what the Banquet is. This one being worse than last year is far from being "Grand"... Compare CM to last CM, compare 4th to last 4th don't compare them to Banquet cause it doesn't make any sense
it makes perfect sense. if banquet is as as bad as the community thinks it is, then why is it more bang for your units than cyber monday?
there's no exaggeration here, you can add up what we got and do a comparison.
I haven't said anything else because at this point I don't have anything else to say. I didn't think saying the same thing again was going to be helpful to anybody, but my thoughts have not changed since that post. It's probably not what you want to hear, but it's where I'm at right now.

Maybe my eyes are just cooked at this point in life, but I've scrolled through all the pages on the pinned thread and there isn't a single comment from anyone from Kabam in there.
its funny as how every time someone is bringing up why didnt you address the banquet disaster the answer we get from other side is we were on holiday and would do that later.
whats even the point of addressing it later , we have seen how yall addressed people last time by saying we would improve in the next event , and when the next event drops yall again go radio silent and only show up for damage control and not actually addressing the main issue.
and dont give that bs of do you expect a reply during holiday , arent community managers supposed to manage the community and answer on behalf of the company and communicate with player base . if there is a failure which is absolutely obvious shouldnt it be the first priority of those titled as managers to at least address those unhappy players. what we get is yeah i got my medusa i would comeback only after holiday yall yapp here.
this is utterly disappointing
Are u salty because u got bad droprates ?? Make a chart of crystal + solo milestone + alliance milestone + rank reward for both calculate how many units u spend . Compare it to cyber - u will see it's way better. If u just made unrealistic expectations and it didn't reach well then lower your expectations next time 😂

I'm believing it's happening this time in this fashion because of the sheer number of progressions in game now. There's quite a few. You only have to look at how kabam changed the requirements to lower progressions by doing one of the two requirements instead of having to meet both. They very clearly want players to get to higher progressions a bit faster and I believe that may be because of two reasons. The first is there's simply getting to be too many and they're having a harder time separating each one which is why most are lumped together in pairs. The second is I suspect we're getting another one very soon.

Well it does if look at it this way, have we had any content since necropolis or anything styled like necropolis that needs to push progression further? If anything it just pushes my theory closer to the truth. And perhaps we'll get some new everest content like necro this year too.

I hope something changes your mind. 2023 you wanted to incentive people to do Necropolis, meaning you wanted to reward doing content. 2024 you think its funny to see TBs running around with R3s and want people to catch up to spenders. Am I crazy or this doesn't make any sense at all?
It has always been that way in logical gaps, an F2P Valiant vs a spending or whale Valiant. Not trying to fix a gap between TBs and whale Valiants.
You could be right. It just doesnt make sense to me that the excuse on 2023 was pushing Necropolis and the excuse in 2024 is closing the gap, specially within 1 year.
Well it does if look at it this way, have we had any content since necropolis or anything styled like necropolis that needs to push progression further? If anything it just pushes my theory closer to the truth. And perhaps we'll get some new everest content like necro this year too.
No; but we had enough content for F2P to become Valiant doing 1 path of Necropolis or even without. Following that theory this event should have pushed lower and newer Valiants to actually be able to close a gap or even hoping for it. Like someone else said on the forums. The problem is not that TBs are receiving Valiant rewards. Its more of Valiant receiving TB rewards. I know it sounds like the same; but if you read between lines its very different.
My biggest issue is not with Banquet, but that there hasn't been much communication from the community managers (or whatever they are called). Because I think Kabam Crashed is a dev and not a community manager, and he's had the most presence (which I appreciate from him). But I could be wrong about Crashed title though.
its funny as how every time someone is bringing up why didnt you address the banquet disaster the answer we get from other side is we were on holiday and would do that later.
whats even the point of addressing it later , we have seen how yall addressed people last time by saying we would improve in the next event , and when the next event drops yall again go radio silent and only show up for damage control and not actually addressing the main issue.
and dont give that bs of do you expect a reply during holiday , arent community managers supposed to manage the community and answer on behalf of the company and communicate with player base . if there is a failure which is absolutely obvious shouldnt it be the first priority of those titled as managers to at least address those unhappy players. what we get is yeah i got my medusa i would comeback only after holiday yall yapp here.
this is utterly disappointing
It was pre recorded man, they didn't even have time to ne accountable for.
crashed was in a thread of flexing the profiles , but couldnt a drop a single message of we hear you and are looking forward to properly address the issues. as there was no response throughout the event , the only expected reply now is of yeah we did perform as our intentions you didnt like it is on you we willl look forward to better your experience next time. only issue wiith this being that they fumbled so hard on not relaying the value of tickets , not relaying the info , misdirecting us into believeing realm event reawrds are just extra(later they told us to look at whole event in totality), they gave stupid milestones ( sig stones of reworked champs which most of the players wont get to use)

At least as far as the forums are concerned, Crashed has been probably 80% of Kabam representation since around or after Cyber Week.

I mean c'mon, T5cc?
Your analytics will include my unit spend this year and you may see that as a success. If you ignore actual satisfaction as a lead metric you won’t see the disenfranchisement I feel which is a big indicator for future spend, both in virtual currency and real life money.
there's no exaggeration here, you can add up what we got and do a comparison.
Make a chart of crystal + solo milestone + alliance milestone + rank reward for both calculate how many units u spend .
Compare it to cyber - u will see it's way better. If u just made unrealistic expectations and it didn't reach well then lower your expectations next time 😂
I wonder what kind of results this tool will show about the 1200+ middle fingers given to the announcement...
