This is complete rubbish. The only good thing about this update is the weekly bundle for 20 units for valiant players. Other than that the trade in nonsense is stupid! As an end game player i don’t get enough of the low tier items to trade them in at the huge markups. This wouldn’t be so stupid if the BG store still had 5 star shards etc. But couple that with the fact the BG store only gives 20k 6 star shards per week, the monthly EQ gives 10k, and the paragon gauntlet 10k, and suddenly you’re expected to grind for over a month (and sacrifice all the ISO from dupes) to get 1 7 star.
What a stupid move! Rather than just update the current store and bring it in line with the current metta + lower the cooldown timers like everyone in the community wanted, Kabam do what Kabam does best and implement changes that no one wants or finds useful.
I for one will not be buying this rubbish.
Well done Kabam, well done.
So you're telling me most end game players do not need 10% more Gold, Glory, Loyalty, Artifacts, and Trophy Tokens? 7* Nexus and Titan crystals? Refined XP?
I’ll be honest, 10% extra gold etc doesn’t excite me. Like woooow you get 3.6m from fully exploring Tb eq… so an extra 360k? Pocket change. An extra 300-400 glory a week? Again, pocket change. Plus, the “trade in” nonsense means we won’t have easy access to titan crystals etc as we would have to save for MONTHS for just one! Why not just do what everyone asked for which was update the store to bring it in line with the current metta, maybe even unlock items with progression like the incursions store, and then lower the cooldown timers+upping the number in stock. For valiant currently it’s one single reduced 5 star crystal for 11k shards every 14 days which takes the piss,
Once again Kabam not listening to the community or whst we’re asking for, alienating players and souring player sentiment. You’d think after the backlash over the banquet bs last week they would wise up. Mark my words, if they don’t start listening to the players, soon they won’t have any players left.
Fairly underwhelming change. I don't really know who would save up 50k 5 star shards or 150k 6 star shards to get a rank above just because iso is a very big problem. I like the boosts for acts 1-6 just to help get through progression, but it feels underwhelming for Paragons because you're not really getting anything, same for cavaliers and tbs. I do not know anyone who is a Valiant so I am at a lack of opinion here, but it feels as if this is only to help progress through the first few titles a bit quicker. Not to say it's all terrible, sig stone trade ins and stable ways to gain dust are long awaited(despite the 10 dollar fee), and they deserve recognition for that. I might buy a month first just to try it out, but spending 120 dollars to get an ascension and wait almost a year is definitely not worth it for me. Overall I think it sounds much more fancy than it actually is, but I guess we'll find out when it goes online.
Yes, what's exactly the difference between Super credits and Normal credits? Do we buy something with the one that can't be purchased with the other? It s not clear.
Trade in store is pretty bad, but at least it's there I guess. Really no progress made for Valiants at all, which is very disappointing. Once again something that isn't even remotely going to live up to the hype. Something so incredibly long overdue for an upgrade and the upgrades it receives are next to nothing.
I feel the same way, maybe I would enjoy the game more if I start a new account... Call it crying or whatever; but not seeing much value on anything lately as a Valiant.
cons: the trade-in store is a complete nightmare one example- currently, a 6 star crystal costs 25k 5 star shards for paragon players, and 33k 5 star shards for TB. The new sigil is offering a 6 star crystal for 50k 5 star shards!! WTF?!? Yes, I am valiant and still chase 6 star champions. I still need a Kate Bishop and Viv Vision, they are not available as 7 stars.
First question: What happens to the arena express mode for that 2 week gap? Because I use that feature frequently, and that's my #1 reason for purchasing the sigil.
2nd question: Right now I have 486 Greater sigil credits, and 82 regular sigil credits. So when the greater sigil credits get converted, will I have a total of 568 regular sigil credits?
3rd question: Why are we getting such a huge reduction of 6 star relic shards? Currently we're getting 500 shards a week. The weekly reward chart shows that the new sigil only gives 300 shards a week.
4th question: for the sig stone trade-in, will we be able to trade in class sig stones or is it generic only, or will we need to trade in sig stone crystals like we currently do?
Lastly, for now, a comment: The tier 2 primordial dust is wayyyy over-priced. To clarify, you are charging 100 sigil credits for 1/8 of an ascension when at most we only get 75 sigil credits a month. That means we'd need to farm sigil credits for 11 months to get 1 character ascended and absolutely nothing else from the sigil store. That is non-sense even at the uncollected level!
These are some good questions. WRT to the 1/13 shut down, it isn’t clear to me that they are fully shutting it off on that date or perhaps no longer allowing people to buy it. The latter would probably make more sense as shutting off the arena express mode or causing you to lose your extra storage for two weeks (which would have the impact of you losing all those extra mats since the new higher storage wouldn’t kick in until a full two weeks later after it had expired from your stash) would be pretty bad.
Compensation should include the items we would receive from the sigil including the 700 7* shards, xp per week and the rest until the new version releases. The whole reason people get the sigil and pay for it. The added bonuses.
This is like a slap in the face for people who’ve been subscribed for years waiting for an update on the store. The trade in values make no sense. Currently we’re able to trade in 15,000 5 star shards a week for 4,500 6 star shards. That means a 6 star costs 31,000 5 star shards. Granted, we do have to wait 3 weeks to trade in that many 5 star shards, but the point still stands that you’ve made it 19,000 shard more expensive. You’ve also completely gotten rid of trading in Crystal shards for other shards. Now we’re trading in shards for complete crystals when we need shards to trade in for higher value items.
Another big problem is the sigils we get every month. Buying from the game gives us 60 and buying from the web store gives us 75, but we currently get 108 sigils a month when combining the two currencies together. Now that you’ve combined the two currencies, it feels like we’re getting much less value when purchasing the sigil. Sure, we’re getting more units and some things have been reduced in price regarding sigil credits, but some items can also now only be purchased with sigil credits when that wasn’t the case before. I’m referring to the sigil potions and champion boosts. Maybe making them two sigil points wouldn’t matter if we also had the option of what they were previously, which was through trading in potions and gold respectively. You’ve also added more items we can trade in with sigil credits, but reduced the amount of credits we can get. How does that make sense?
I’ve sure the argument can be made that you’ve combined the two sigil currencies and therefore it’s its own new thing, but it doesn’t feel that way. People have already done the math on the titan crystal, and only being able to buy 1 a year and mainly nothing else with those credits doesn’t feel good.
Those are my thoughts on the store at the moment. I like that we’ll be getting an additional 150 some units a month, but it’s at the cost of making the trade in store worse.
We currently get 108 sigil tokens a month, bringing that down to 60 is terrible. Even web store 75. You should balance it to 100 so players can get sigil witch in 4 months or a 7* in 3 months, nexus in 5 or even titan in 7 months, rather than putting titans behind 10+ months wall. The added weekly units ontop are a good touch, also 150k 6* shards transfer should come with a decent iso bundle with the 7* crystal. Or allow like we have now with 6* shards from 6* to do in increments. Same with 6* or 5* relic shards, who in their right mind would trade 100000 5* relic shards for 1 6* relic? Leaving a lot to be desired here Kabam. On a good note the 7* sig stone for 5x 6* is nice touch, few decent parts but a lot left on the table.
I just don’t see how the greater sigil credit is converted at a 1:1 and I shouldn’t fill cheated.
This is perhaps the biggest mystery for me. Greater Sigil credits were an exclusive currency that was used solely for acquiring 7* Sigil Witch.
What’s the rationale for making it *just another credit*? If anything, it seems like the exchange rate should be greater than 1:1.
Dr. Zola
It was also locked to Paragons...and now its a common currency... Once again WTF is the point of progression? Welcome to "Whose line is it anyway" the game were points don't matter....

After Banquet, it seems pertinent to ask what kind of sweet extra perks exist for the super-duper, top tier favorite Daddy Warbucks spendy Summoners…

It definitely feels like this 10 year celebration year feels more like than an “out with the old” and “in with the new” exercise. The Sigil revamp lands in that exact same spirit as well as the banquet.
It’s all good, at some point this year they will launch a new title before putting any efforts into finishing the valiant title, and it will launch with a daily crystal that just happens to pay out the rarest drops at rates that stoke the FOMO urges just enough to get us to chase that one…. Then Valiant will get all the same privileges except that daily Crystal and it might mean something again.

Seems like they're trying to get the smaller players caught up, while Valiants sit here with no way to progress much.

That was most of 2024, and to be honest I don't see it to be any different at all with the new PC crowd comming in...
The *only* way I would've bought into this mediocrity was if there was a new Sigil champion, and that new champion just happened to be one of my all-time favorite characters.
Since that's not the case, at least I don't have to throw any money at this disappointing update.

Definitely agree here. I think their plan was just lower SWitch to 400 total and people be fine with it, but for those who saved to get her and then resaving to dupe, that suuuuucks. Trade-in on greater credits when it flips to subscription should at least be 1.5:1 ratio if not 2:1 … also, would love to know if there’s at least a plan for new Sigil champ this year. People would want to know before using up 500 credits on a 7* nexus, when they could hold for new/next sigil champ. @KabamDORK@kabamcrashed update us soon as u can.

Trying to lure new players to spend money so they can catch up to the higher progression players.
And Kabam want to talk to us about not creating a big gap between ftp and paying customers.
This is coming from a P2L player btw
Meh who cares, there are cavs and TBs running around with 7r3s not like the 30% is such a big deal...
Oh, and by the way Kabam, an exclamation mark at the end of every sentence doesn’t make something good.
