I just wish the Trello board was still kept up to date. That would help a lot.
It is. We have Trello meetings where we discuss open issues, and update the board each week.
The original announcement stated that it would be updated on Fridays to account for any last-minute updates found throughout the week - and there's a note on the board stating maintenance will return weekly on schedule after the Holidays in January.
Nitpicking, I know, but yet another location to see if something I’m seeing in game is what I’m supposed to be seeing in game.
To be honest, I haven’t checked the Trello site since (maybe) early 2024. Put this as a link in the *portal*, whatever the portal winds up being. 😉
I agree with most of what’s been said here. I will say I prefer the forum post format for things like monthly SQ info. The website doesn’t format as well for me on mobile which is all I use for this kind of stuff. If it’s too much work to make those kind of posts I get it and can do the website if there’s a pinned thread with a link but the ease of viewing and the opportunity to provide direct responses or questions and see other players feedback has been helpful with a lot of the more confusing side quest formats. The current one has multiple keys/currencies that I haven’t sorted out yet and I don’t know where I’m supposed to go to get it explained.

OP makes a great point that format is important. I’d put that near the top with figuring out an overarching structure to reign the hydra of messaging channels in a bit.

Yeah, I agree. I was having some trouble figuring out the structure of the current side quest, so I went to the forum to see if there was a post explaining it all to me before I burned any entry tickets. However, I found no information about it here so I just had to chance it. Luckily it worked out, but I've had similar situations in the past where I've screwed myself over just because I didn't know how something worked. Back then, it was my bad which is why I decided to "do the right thing" this time and actually double-check how to go forward with the quest. Not finding any information about it was annoying.

And imo, I think they should do more to communicate these sorts of things ingame. Needing to run to an outside source for something takes away from retention time.

Yes, above link is the newer Trello Bug board for MCOC.
But as for the old Trello board link, that one still seems to be up and available to see too. Still shows Jax, Zibiit, and Fiddler “logged in” at corner (Fiddler says logged into both the old and new ones). That old one being, the “b / yM4RGbuU / mcoc-community-bugs-and-issues-tracker” one (not full embedded link, so people don’t inadvertently use it). So, it hasn’t been taken down yet (note to Kabam).
New one has more current (Admin, Fiddler, Pinwheel, Rex, and Dork) logged in at corner.

How about a compromise any communications on discord be also posted here simple as a copy paste. Frankly other devs that social management instead of full write ups post links in other social channels to the official posts on a website or in this case the forums, a prior established community hub
Any announcements we make to the discord should be cross posted here. As in posts in the announcements channel, though I understand that doesn't encompass other replies in other places in the server. If those announcement posts aren't making it over that's a problem and something I want to fix.
Lots of good and understandable feedback here. Absolutely is the case that we are in more places than ever because we want to provide more options for a greater variety of players. That has admittedly come with a division of attention that y'all are understandably pointing out. While it may be tricky to match the levels of response when the forums were really the one spot for communication, I am working to get that level up for sure.
Try to tidy up the stickies here and there, will take a stab at it now for a proper end of week cleanup.
I’m more concerned about responses to bug reports more than anything else. Some get attention while others , like this one I’ve tried to highlight for months , has gotten no reply.
What more can a person do to try and get an issue looked at?
No you're doing the right thing, honestly think with this specifically seems like a casualty of timing, just before the team change and then again right as went on break for the holidays/banquet was starting. I'll see if I can get some info from the team on this and pass it along
It’s been a few months or should I just chalk this up to Kabam not taking any action and dragging their feet some more? I continue to post in my thread but it’s always ignored and no Kabam employee ever replies. To be clear, any delay has nothing to do with a change of team members or “the holiday”… This is a conscious decision from Kabam to ignore this issue. It’s now 1 year since this was first reported.
If this happened when necro or Abyas was released, people would be freaking out becuz Aegon was of one of the top options to clear those quests.
