I get concerned sometimes about Kabam's business sense. You have a product that people love, want to play and invest time and money in and you take it away. I understand there was a plan in place but that's what worries me is their inability to pivot. The popularity of the mode has proven not to be just a fad because they have the same feedback from The Crucible but something that people want implemented permanently. Ik a lot of people disappointed that's it's going away, even for a month.
i like the valiant gauntlet but you know you should add a node in the middle of the quest that heals your next champ to 100% cause the fights are lengthy and due to the ai being faulty you can lose quite a bit of health as not everyone is as skilled as MSD , aside the rewards are good and feels nice to have something new .
They want you to use your health potions.
I always have a ton expiring so makes sense why they don't have something like this.
There seems to be a bug with the second champion requirements filter in chapter 2 of the Valiant Event Quest. It gives skill champions for the science node. The rest of the filters in chapter 2 are bugged as well.
It was well said on the other post — new valiant gauntlet sucks. And not just because of the bugs. The structure is dumb, the three champ format is the worst of all worlds.
Reverse Psychology, they gave us this awful format so we can thank them and show them love when they go back to the old one.
This company is no different than governments are: raise taxes by 20% for no reason, so that we can thank them when they lower it by only 19% in the end.
I think after paying a lot of money in the July 4th deals to have it thrown in my face by making this month's content more difficult is just criminal. You have been greedy and trying to make us feel like we need to pay more just to complete month. We rank up to achieve more not to survive. I'm done.

I give you my money for all kinds of stuff but if you think for a second I'm gonna Waste my materials or give you a dime to get through this, your wrong. To me, this feels like another example of Kabam stacking the deck against the community in order to squeeze us for a little more of our time, units, resources, money, etc and record a little more profit on the ol' balance sheet.
Vitriol aside, I stand by my opinion that this is becoming increasingly less fun. It's like going to McDonald's and discovering that they're charging you more for a hamburger but giving you *less* hamburger... I feel like every month they are finding new ways to dilute the value proposition of the game while expecting me to be satisfied with whatever's left. The state of the Valiant Quest this month is, in my opinion, not meant for my enjoyment so much as it is recalibrated to separate me from my time and resources.
Horrible design. Whoever thought about increasing the amount of fights and paths for the last 3 quests need to be moved to another team. The original format sucked but at least we only had to do the quest one time to receive all the rewards. If the reason you did this is because Paragon players also have access to the quest, just remove their access.
We had TWO occasions of the Valiant EQ, and it's already changed. Why? Legitimately what was the point of changing this? You seriously had enough data from the Valiant EQ that you thought to yourselves "Hmm... this is already stale. Let's change it!"
There were too many fights, paths were too long. Those were the negative comments, everything else was pretty positive. So, your reaction is to actually increase the overall total number of fights we have to do?

We had to change characters every fight. Almost everyone I saw actually liked that. It added strategy and planning. Characters to nuke things, characters to regain health. It was great. You change it so now we can use three champions at once. Okay, I feel this, I like where your mind was in the sense that it's fewer moving parts.
Except there's a massive degen that kills us if we go in with the same champion. So... we effectively are still swapping our characters every fight. Okay, so if this is the case then why change it at all? What, so maybe people can get the very rare synergy opportunity?

I will say it again, louder for those in the back: we had TWO months of the Valiant EQ as it was. Why do you insist on "fixing" and "updating" things that aren't broken. Change for the sake of change is not always a good thing.
Yeahhhhhh. After doing just the first one, it wasn’t terrible. I only have three problems with it: 1. I don’t like the fact of having to fight the boss three times with the same node. Kinda dumb and irritating esp when it’s psychoman constantly putting concussion on you 2. The nodes need to work with who is available in the class required to take in. For example, there’s only a handful of champs that counter evade WELL - in the skill class, so mix master with some pretty potent defenders like spiral don’t go well. It would be different if it was a number of classes so you could bring in champs like bastion with pursuit. I also could not get the AI to throw specials and got backed in the corner way more times than I should have…you know it’s bad when you’re dexing for over two minutes just to get backed in a corner…and I had no idea Okoye had that kind of special reach. Just wasted revives imo at that point. 3. If they are going to implement reusing a champ, PLEASE TAKE OUT THE 20% degen - at that point it’s not even worth reusing unless they’re just an absolute nuke or you’re near the end. I understand a little but that’s not even salvageable
This is just my opinion. I understand it’s supposed to be for people with large rosters and valiants (which I am), but at the same time it shouldn’t take over 5 min for a fight.

New valiant eq have some really really good rewards
But in terms of gameplay I'm disappointed.
First, It felt like chore and boring. Like 15 fights in row where you have to change champ without having option to keep same champ. This personally felt really like low blow to champs who are cross fight ramp up monsters like Morning star, Cull (yes I still use him cuz he's fun)etc.
Second:It's straight up copy paste of TB eq with some extra hp. Like same old coffe but in new mug. C'mon atleast throw some new nodes to us. It felt like Paragon difficult especially after seeing title which reflected Paragon difficulty in description 😂😂. Now only boss fights kind of felt that it matches the valiant aspect.
Third:Due to point no 1, relic doesn't makes sense in such eq. Because they serve less purpose when you have to fight 15 different champs with 15 different champs with class restrictions. No matter how deep account is, not every one will go and re-equip all relics to maximize for all 15 fights or do we even have enough for same class ??? Arguments can be made but on major part it's just another shortcoming rather than benefit.
For different type of valiants, this eq is different. I am average/above average skilled player. I liked Necro. I liked Epoch. I liked Crucible. I have explored all these 3.Usually if I have negative thoughts regarding content, I first test it after release then speak. This Eq imo doesn't excited me at all. Even during the announcement I had some doubts regarding format and all but here I am.
I don't want to be rude but at same time I can't sugercoat my words as well. I know game team is putting in lot of efforts and don't want to disrespect their hardwork. But at same time it doesn't cut out how it was done. I am happy it was recognised that valiant players need fun and some challenging content monthly basis. So expectations regarding gameplay was high. But this felt like totally geared towards Paragons not the valiants. Just increase in hp pool don't reflect the gap being closed for the players.
I have been watching you guys from long time tho Dave was absent in between. Dave and KM, please think it as fellow mcoc player. I know you do have certain obligation as employees as well but I find hard to believe you didn't see that coming especially my 2 point. I hope during this trial and error phase, things will change for future.
Sorry for long write up. Summary: Rewards are good but gameplay and format doesn't align with valiant aspects imo.

The changes not so much… plus the crazy bugs that STILL aren’t fixed.
I still can’t beat the choose a new champ gate boss after the 1st Psychoman fight.
The save button won’t highlight no matter what skill champ I choose.
