Words cannot express how pathetic this "compensation" is. It actually fills me with disgust just to think about it. Whoever thought of this should be ashamed.
I'm finishing aw season but then I'm out. This complete lack of appreciation makes me regret every penny I've spent. Why spit in our faces when it costs you nothing. We're owed far more than this.
Funny thing is, when things like this happen (compensation announcement) the mods should be around to respond. My alliance member wrote in pink text once and was responded to in 5 min (to say not to do it).
Also if you notice, forums are generally quiet with a few 100 views per post. When the game goes down or compensation is mentioned it goes into 1000s!

They're around, write a bad post about kabam and see how fast it gets taken down. Happened to me a few times today.
Mods are doing there job right now but it's not responding its taking down posts. No responses will come because it's not going to change in the end. This was a known outcome today. That's why it was done on a Friday.
1000 shards are just about what i have lost in 5* arena X ARENA. multiply those for a month and we'd have a good BASE of compensation.
Halls of healing are trash given how lv4 are mainly used in aw and glory already covers those. I have no use for lv2 potion to heal 40k hp champions, it's a joke, and a bad one.
Rest is just meh. Can't even get why its appreciation and not compensation, they reuse the concept as they reuse events and monthly. Not surprised, and not happy.

I hope the result of this is that players stop spending. This is the only thing Kabam really cares about. Decrease their revenue and they will have to change.
Yes the game has been in a bad state lately. Awakening gems and that are asking for a bit much but this “appreciation” is a middle finger to the player base.
I went back and pulled up summoner appreciation from last year.
It was the entire month of June last year, this time only 1 week at the end of August.
Halls of healing and halls of fortune were going on last year, this year no halls of fortune.
Other things were included as well last year like the introduction of the punisher arena which was free to enter, increased t4cc in the daily events, etc. this year nothing.
Taking 3 steps back is not an appreciation for your consumer.
I have a mental picture of some lawyer running around yelling at the mods not to call it compensation (for the overheating issue). That would be too close to admitting fault. If they gave more it would also make them look guilty.

The gold boost was last year too. That’s one of the few things still included. Last year there was a gold boost and a halls of fortune so I’m not sure what your point is? This is still much less than previous appreciation events.
You still haven't answered my question what race am I? This was an irate discussion about compensation and SAW not 1 thing mentioned about race then bam all of a sudden it's about race. It is debatable whether it is a good idea to even address such a ridiculous subject, but while it is theoretically possible for the mods to know certain things like your email address, this is not information that is generally available to them. But much more importantly, this is information not available to other players, so it would be impossible to know if a moderator was exhibiting a pattern of bias against people with certain backgrounds.
I hesitate to call this a ludicrous conspiracy theory, because even ludicrous conspiracy theories usually take more than three seconds to fall apart. There is literally no place for that kind of thing here, and honestly as far as I'm concerned nowhere else that reasonable people might find themselves either.
