The only change is advocate for is removing strength in numbers in 6.2.5. Beyond that, Act 6 is fine as it is. The oppressive attack values are gone. The previous biggest obstacles to a completion run have been removed. There is nothing wrong with exploration featuring some difficult paths since you don’t need to explore Act 6 for any progression title. There’s no rush to explore Act 6, and you can very easily wait until you pull the perfect counter to a difficult path.

Considering you need the t5c to help you get thronebreaker, yeah you are kind of stuck exploring it.

You don't NEED to explore act 6 for thronebreaker.

My variant 1 comparison is just based on the many paths and how much of a pain it is. I haven't and won't waste my time exploring variant 1, and currently feeling the same with exploring act 6. I've already 100% 7.1 and became TB, so no rush to go back.
Good for you, but despite all of the content I’ve done, I still haven’t formed a t5c. I have enough fragments spread across the classes to have 3 of them, but haven’t been lucky enough to spin out enough in a single class. I am kind of stuck exploring it.

Your choice, it's all about what your goal is and how fast you want to get there. But realize you aren't stuck having to do any particular content.

I'm F2P and TB without doing any abyss and only completing act 6.
How is that my choice lol

It sounds like I may have more content done than you. RNG is ****.

This is about act 6 and how much it sucks

Does act 6 suck..... absolutely! Do you need to explore it for TB........ no you don't! That's why it's your choice whether you go for exploration. But in no way should it be nerfed again just because!
Dude...unless I do abyss or map 7, which I don’t want to, there is no where else in the game for me to get t5c. Only other spot is exploring variant 6, which I will do soon enough.
Abyss isn't really as scary as people think. Just space it out for two days and you'll get it done before you knwo it
I’m not scared of abyss. Apparently you guys missed the part where I’ve already completed most of the endgame content.

Of my 40 6 stars, only one is tech. If I go through all of the trouble of doing abyss, and pull a tech catalyst and have to r3 civil warrior, I will probably quit.

If you do abyss, and get a tech t5cc, you can start tailoring your crystal opening decisions to that. Do you want Ghost or a different tech, basic or featured 6* crystals will be the way to go based on that answer. I'm not sure if you ever buy cavs, but you can start purchasing only Tech featured cavs.

Bad news today will always be better than bad news tomorrow.

    Abyss? Variants? Map 7?
All of the variants are done except the newest one. Don’t have time to do map 7 or abyss. I have a toddler and a career.
I find Map 7 less time consuming than Map 6. I certainly log in fewer times to clear it each day. But a big part of that is finding the right group that co-ordinates well and can accommodate your schedule.

I would definitely give it a shot, 40-50% T5CC per month adds up very quickly.
Map 7's time requirements are one of the most overstated things in the game. It just makes people feel better to say it takes too much time than to say it's too hard or I'm not willing to pay the ticket costs.
Whilst I tend to avoid generalising in most cases, I think you’re right. Either that, or people are genuinely unaware that Map 7 no longer requires any extra time commitment comparative to Map 6.

Well variants and 7.1 are really easy. You haven't done abyss. You're complaining about Act 6. What end game content have you actually finished bc act 6 was pretty much the only challenging thing you've touched and you're complaining about the Fischer Price version of it
I think you’re missing my point. I’ll get it done. I’m not a scrub. I’m complaining about how it isn’t fun. Act 6 is a chore to do. This is a game. It should be fun.

Fun is subjective. What you deem fun or not will differ from what others find fun.

While I have no plans on 100% Act 6 any time soon because honestly it's more to do with the energy requirement than the difficulty for me, you cannot objectively say that it is not fun. You can have your subjective opinion that it isn't.

I personally find the SoulsBorne games fun, a lot of people don't because they find them too hard. That doesn't objectively make them bad games because they're too hard for others to complete.
You’re 100% right that it’s subjective. I’d be willing to bet that the majority of the community thinks it’s bad, though. As the end consumers of the product, subjective opinions matter.

Unless you're going to ask every single player who has done Act 6, or is currently doing Act 6, for their feedback on Act 6 as it currently is the best you can do is give an extrapolated answer which isn't representative of an entire community of players.

    So what I'm gathering

There's abyss - You don't want to do it
There's map 7 - You don't want to do it
There's Act 6 - It's too hard so change it for you.

Sounds like a you problem unless I'm missing something.

Abyss- Don't have an Aegon and specific counters and thousands of units.
Map 7- No Map 7 ally would take in members having less than 12k prestige.
Act 6- Reason explained in the post.
A lot of lower- to mid-prestige alliances are transitioning to Map 7, since the bulk of the T5CC come from Honour Rewards, which are awarded independently of prestige.

So in short, if you can run 7x5 with Epic modifiers, your entire alliance is guaranteed a 10% T5CC crystal per cycle.
  • OctoberstackOctoberstack Member Posts: 872 ★★★★
For example, I’m currently in the process of helping one of my old alliances transition to Map 7. So far they’re managing to complete it on all 5 days, running Epic modifiers on 3 of them.

They have 10.2k average prestige, with no minimum prestige requirement to join.

In fact, it’s arguably beneficial for lower prestige alliances to run Map 7 as soon as they are ready to, since AQ map difficulty scales with prestige. So you can still earn your 10% T5CC per week, but running an easier version of Map 7 compared to more competitive alliances.

Of my 40 6 stars, only one is tech. If I go through all of the trouble of doing abyss, and pull a tech catalyst and have to r3 civil warrior, I will probably quit.

But you can't say for certain that the majority of the community thinks it's bad. Yet again that is a subjective opinion with zero factual evidence. Unless you're going to ask every single player who has done Act 6, or is currently doing Act 6, for their feedback on Act 6 as it currently is the best you can do is give an extrapolated answer which isn't representative of an entire community of players.
When did I assert that as a fact? I said I’d be willing to bet. I am stating an opinion.
Fine, if we're going down the pedantic route, you have some degree of certainty if you're willing to make a bet. You're entitled to your opinion, but you are also entitled to be wrong about your opinion too.
    That is how bets work.

It needs the needs that we’re promised to 6.1 and 6.2, because the end of 6.2 blows and keeping your word should mean something.

Act 6 is my favorite content in the game, personally, and it's not even close.

Respect your opinion, however I don’t agree.

Side note, thanks for all of the content. I appreciate your channel and the work you do.
