This is outrageous all this are suppose to be in game rewards nothing new rather you taking dungeon days and giving it back as a reward. I guess in no time we will have grind a billion fights to access our monthly calender then.
There are a lot of posts on here saying how underwhelming the community event rewards are but very suggestions on improving this. Miike please take this suggestion back to the game team. With the hype behind an event like this why not make the rewards a return to the events players loved that we haven't seen given out regularly like dungeon days and free aq maps which occur semi annually normally. The gold arena is a nice reward since players have been asking for something like this but why not replace dungeon days with a return of gwenpool goes to the movies. Dungeon days could be replaced by a 2* arena which was a huge hit. The boost calendar while nice for lower tier players could be replaced with a rankup calendar that offers rankup materials to give players the material to get closer to their next champ upgrade (anything from t4b t1a t2a shards or full t4cc shards or full and t5b shards). Since this game is about collecting and ranking champs this would fit the hype and excitement that was built around this event.
Just add milestone rewards just like every other alliance event. Whenever the community reach a milestone, they unlock one of the events you mentioned and get a nice little reward for reaching the milestone.
Also in general the side events have been a real grind. you have the EQ, the side quest, AQ, AW, Arena. that's a lot of time grinding away in a game each month.
for the past 4 months the side quests have looked like such
July - Grinding Side Quest August - Grinding Side Quest September - Grinding Side Quest October - Grinding Side quest
and now next month its the same but you seem to be getting less in the rewards. The last decent side quest i can remember was probably the Alantian rifts. just feels like you have run out of ideas for fun events and for me the game is just getting boring.
This is the part that I would like to highlight and I agree 100%. I doesn't appear that the Kabam team really understands, or even appreciates, how much time we actually spend on this game. Well fortunately my phone calculates that for me, and I have spent exactly 1,400 hours on this game. That equates to 58 full 24 hour days. And I don't consider myself to be a grinder, but that is a lot of time for someone that has a family, works overtime, and is also involved in community events. I think the main issue is that many within the community feel like we aren't getting the value for our time. As someone else mentioned above, I have to look at events and the time/effort/resources needed to complete them. If the rewards don't seem worth my time, then I just mentally skip it.
That has been going on a lot lately. I'll be completely honest. It feels as if Kabam is being intentionally greedy, dangling a carrot over our heads and shelling out minimal rewards for a lot of time and effort. That is the part that is insulting. But the most frustrating part is that Kabam seems to lack positive consistency. We will have one month of great rewarding content followed by numerous months of unfulfilling, exhausting content. Players are beyond frustrated, and that isn't good.
I understand that offering rewards and items to a large group of players, each with varying skills, resources, and needs can be a daunting tasks to satisfy everyone. I also realize that Kabam cannot just give away everything for free. Here are my suggestions t help make MCOC a more enjoyable experience for everyone:
Scale rewards based on skill level AND time needed to complete. If a player needs to grind everyday for a month, in addition to the standard events, to receive rewards, the rewards need to reflect the time spent.
Remove Energy requirements completely from side event quests. Since these events take extra time from us, many of us have to play them when we can. Considering that we are already using energy for monthly quests and story requests, we don't have time to wait around for energy to refill to finish these events.
Instead of just having one reward system, give the players the ability to choose which reward type they want to go after, based on their individual needs. For example, some need better champs and would prefer 5* or 6* shards. Some need T2A's, some need T5CC, some need awakening gems, some need more gold. Offer appropriately skill and time-scaled packages to meet these needs, and let the players choose which one(s) they want to spend their time to go after.
You have the mindset of someone who is satisfied and that's fine for you but some of us want to have fun and make the game as good as possible.
And what do the rest of you want.
I just said we want to have fun and make the game as good as possible. The rest are likely leaving outside of the ones that are satisfied such as yourself, but I don't care for the people that no longer contribute, unless its just a break.
You said some of you want to have fun and make the game as good as possible. I'm curious to know what the rest of you want. If you're including me in "us" please don't, because you don't speak for me, and characterizing me as someone that doesn't want to have fun and isn't working to make the game as good as possible is inaccurate and insulting.
I find a lot of complaints counter-productive, which is why I don't support them. I could be wrong, but I still have to call them like I see them. For example, I've repeatedly explained my position on in-game monetary offers. A lot of people complain they contain poor value. I believe that this is good for the game, because high value cash offers devalue gameplay value. So demanding that they contain ever increasing value is to me damaging to the game.
And while I think there's a lot of ways to improve the rewards in the game, the constant complaining about how the rewards aren't "relevant to the meta" are I believe completely overlooking how games like this are developed. Rewards are not a point in time thing. Rewards, even when it doesn't appear so on short time scales, are a rate thing. Rewards do go up constantly on long time scales, and that rate is very tricky to control, because it is very difficult to reduce. The more rewards the game gives out, the quicker it has to simply obsolete those rewards by introducing higher tier ones. A lot of people complained about the introduction of 6* champs. A lot of those very same people demanded higher rates of 5* shard acquisition and faster rank up resource rewards. Those two are connected: one ultimately caused the other. This was something I actually predicted significantly before it happened, because it is a design inevitability.
That doesn't mean there's no room for adjustment or review, but I see no nuance to the complaints at all. I see people saying the rewards are bad, getting worse, and it will be the quick death of the game. Maybe somewhere in there is a valid point about rewards, but I would never willingly stand by and hand the keys to the game to someone with that point of view. In my opinion, *that* would be the quick death of the game.
I want a fun game that improves over time at least as much as you. I've been offering criticism and feedback since almost the beginning. But I don't claim to be representing anyone but myself and I don't take credit for bringing back the Sun in the morning.
Stop with the word play. I included you specifically in the satisfied player section which you are and you don't deny. There was no mention in you being included in "us" when I already cited your category. So yes, you are a satisfied player, you don't see any issue with the monthly event overall. That is very clear.
I appreciate you clarifying for me what my opinion is. Now tell me what number am I thinking.
No rebuttal? Case closed. Hopefully the reasonable feedback from myself and others is heard. I will say that they could've made the community excited very easily by making the mile stones a fully formed 5 star crytal or if you wanted heads to explode with Joy a featured 5 star crystal. 6 star shard at 3k-5k is not unreasonable for a community wide event, everything else could be kept the same and no complaints. Very simple.
IF you want to go the rank up rewards route a 1.5 fully formed t2 alpah and a good chunk of t5 basic. I would say 11250 for a community wide event is not unreasonable. That is 25% of a t5 basic and would definitely hear no complaints and get excitement that would invite players to want to play more to get those rewards.

It could be a great event, but the rewards seem just... Meh... A few months ago Kabam stated that they would make "5stars more available". This could be a great opportunity for that, but they missed it.
When a lot of the new content demands specific champions (for example, Mr. Sinister on act 6 and a bunch of other quests), it's pretty disappointing that you have to spend a long time to earn a 5* cristal just to triple your Groot...
@Kabam Miike I have no issue with any thing but gold and iso. As now is the age of 6* and to rank up a 5* champ or 6* champs and so as level up its need much gold. Still we have same gold from arena crystals and so on from normal arena milestones rewards. There should be some sort of serious work on gold. As I was have round about 8M gold 3 months ago and I have 1.3M remaining. I only rankup my 5* champs from rank1 to 2. And I have low in gold now as AQ also needs gold, rank up, level up and so on.
Honestly, the rewards are really disappointing ... They are something that would be expected to be released either way, with no relationship with any event.
Boosts - Easily obtainable in alliance crystals and alliance events. Dungeons day - It goes with what I stated above, this would be kinda expected even if there was no event to trigger it. Gold Arena - I'll skip that one, since gold is the most easily farmed resource in the game and there is pretty much no problems with it if you play daily. Free Alliance Quest Maps - It's nice, but again not really a suitable reward for an event.
I would much rather prefer crystal or catalyst shards than any of these really
I agree with you: - Boosts: I have many expiring; - Dungeons: I don't do dungeons, just bad rewards to effort; - Gold: just 500k in global to no extra rewards, just time spoiled; - Free alliance quests: we do Map5x5 so no drama with resources.
In conclusion: another month of bad rewards. Last year seems rewards was better, I even had a 4* champion for a dollar. This year seems the game have good rewards just if you spend money in game...
If you want to know what we as players want the most, or would show the greatest participation then create separate community challenges and analyze the data.
examples: week 1 - run a smaller scale version of what you have designed week 2 - run the same events as above, but make potions/boosts/gold be the main rewards week 3 - same events but have cats/sig stone be the focus week 4 - crystal shards and champ acquisitions (how great would it be for the top milestone to be a "class eliminator selector" in which you could use before opening any crystal to eliminate one class?) skip a week and analyze the data
Next month run the event with the 2 weeks that showed the highest community involvement but increase the milestones and rewards. The only other suggestion I would offer is to maybe do these events during weeks in which new champs are NOT released as I am sure that the week Dr Doom is released, the # of fights will increase as more people are grinding for him and putting up highers #s.
@Kabam Miike do you guys have anything on the table for possibly improving the rewards for November , because just looking around the whole community is upset about the rewards , I personally would love to see an improvement to the rewards and it to not be another meh month. I think that this is the month of the finally fantastic 4 member being introduced so the rewards should be a bit enhanced. Also this is your guys 5th year anniversary do you plan on making the rewards worth it in December or is it going to be just a normal month ?
the event didnt even started, and mostly all i can see or read is complaints about the rewards. if its too lame for you dont play it tho. prep yourself for 6.3 where u get better rewards. well, play the modes which are the most fun to you and enjoy them. u can get so much out of it, let me tell you that. and for a hand full people here: u really dont see the forest, cos of all the trees

U really call this an event?, And what exactly will u get out of these man, if u spend that much time on arenas u can get better rewards , daily grind events are so boring feels like homework and so called community even is not actually an event, just a lame idea, i am at the verge of quitting the game, it's almost 4 years and I am never this much disappointed with kabam. If they could have made a difficult boss(5 diffucties clearing each one will unlock next milestones )and whole alliance will have to finish it and 1 member gets only 1 chance on boss , that would be awesome, PLZZ KABAM HAVE A LOOK AT THE EVENTS AND REWARDS

I think you misunderstood me. I meant, play another game mode if its too lame for you. Nobody forces you to play it. Mcoc offers more than this community event. And if your so disappointed, well then go ahead and quit playing. Personally i'll test it out and will see and then i decide wether its good or not.
Free rewards for doing things that we will be doing anyway. 🤷🏻♂️
Yes we will still be going about our usual playing, but for an event that was hyped up for a year, it is sorely lacking that wow factor that makes us think "wow, the rewards truly live up to the 1 year hype.". Personally i was hoping for at least a few 5*s and some 5* awakening gems HAHA.

Well, the only reason for disappointment is expectation.
Kabam Miike, can you please add in around 30k 5* shards on every calendar and 10k six star shards once we reach 500,000,000? This would be more desirable and make this more insane. Also by reaching 750,000 give us a month of dungeon days.

I was going to post something of the likes, but you said it all. My first impression of this event is that it's a big let down from what it could have been. There was so much potential, but its mostly trivial amounts of resources that are already easy to obtain in the game as you said. I guess its free so there's that, but it could have been much much better.
This is our first time doing this, so if you see room for improvement, share it with us!
We wouldn't want to give direct in-game items, but if you have ideas for other kinds of events we could run in the future, let us know!
It would be great if you could bring back the arenas awarding crystal shards that can be traded for normal or grandmaster crystals and a champion selector. Just like last months. That was the best rewards.
