It's so unnecessary in my opinion. The donation system is the least of the worries when it comes to AQ for a good chunk of the community. Kabam could've addressed so many other issues regarding AQ.
They could've tackled the energy timer issues or the general repetitiveness of AQ, or literally anything else, but no. They have to break the only thing that works fine. Almost nobody cares about the donations.
Well, they are gonna change the map 5 AI to be more aggressive which means they hopefully will be more willing to launch specials, thats something good i guess.
How about making AQ ticket sellable with the same cost ? That way if player get refund by ticket and only map 5 , they could sold those ticket and get their gold back
1. Are you removing rewards bans when changing alliances or am I going to have to use resources for AQ I’m not getting rewards.
2. Why have the ability to run different maps at all anymore. This would just sow animosity because AQ rewards are shared amongst all. Why should those running the higher map have to shoulder more weight in getting same rewards.
This is a large oversight because this will destroy the flexibility this change of different maps sought to create. How many people will want to pay more than their alliance mates and carry them to better rewards as well?
3. Where was this in the feedback? I saw lots of stuff about AQ but not about treasury management. Cost of map-yup, timers-yup, the desire to not have to donate to a treasury nope. To disguise this as listening to feedback is wrong. This is due to map 7 allies not being able to keep up with resources and using there secondary accounts and shell account to load up the treasury so they can keep up with the enormous cost without just dropping units to afford the map. The right solution is lower the cost so people don’t have to jump through hoops like this. Not impact the entire community with a weird ticket system that even more frustrating than donating to the treasury.
4. Alliance mate can’t grind this week because of life events funeral/birth/accident/other. Can cover playing AQ/AW but other than that can’t grind resources out. Currently we as his alliance mates can cover him if we choose with our donations as we know he hasn’t been able to play much. New world you can either drop a map or not play AQ this week.
We already have this flexibility in our donation. Because we work with our mates in our alliance to figure out who want to donate what. This bring nothing other than red tape to the process.
This is the worst change to AQ in the history of the game. I’m the leader of a 655 alliance so now the 10 members in Map6 have to pay all the cost instead of them being spread out through out the alliance but yet get the same rewards as the Map5 players. Potentially have to use items to clear Map6 aswell. Seriously where is the logic in this?
We will be dropping back down to 555 to keep everyone in the alliance equal and happy.
Well done again Kabam. Totally adrift with the community as ever.
How/when does the ticket store (don’t know what to call it) reset?
Is 450 units worth of tickets for 1 week of map 7 accurate?
How can the alliance ensure players have tickets on hand to pay for the week? There is potential for players bad at accounting to leave the other players high and dry for the week.
The price of tickets will reset on the same schedule as the Glory Store!
450 Tickets is the price of 150 Tickets, which is 5 days of Alliance Quests.
It's not really possible to know what each of your members has on hand, but that's why we wanted to make costs more flexible. If you don't have a lot of Loyalty to use, you can use Gold or Battle Chips, etc.
Instead of making entry costs for each map on each BG, why not even out the entry cost averaged out over three maps or at least give the alliance that option to do that.
I get where you're coming from, but when you donate to the Treasury, those resources become solely to open Alliance Quest Maps, and that's what Alliance Tickets.
It would be the same thing that happened if Map 5 became free without the new ticket system.
Come on dude.... you have been here long enough that you cant possibly believe this. But for the sake of argument lets debunk that:
- Alliance treasury existed to fund maps 5-7... which means map 5 was included.... so if an alliance only did 5x5, it would have significant resources on the treasury.... yet, instead of refunding the resources you give them tickets for map 6 and 7 which they cant use... if map 5 became free, the treasury could still be used to fund individual BGs in map 6 or 7, but now part of these tickets are given back to people that wont use them while forcing others to pay for the whole alliance
- The whole point of the new AQ system was to allow different maps for different BGs but now, in this poorly designed system, only the map 6 and 7 players pay full cost while everyone gets the same rewards.... obviously nonsensical
It is not possible that moderators/developers know so little about the game that they dont understand that... one has to ask, why do this???? it could have been easily solved by transforming the alliance treasury into a ticket holder where players donate with the same flexibility you suggested but still sharing the costs and the benefits.
This move will create friction between alliance mates... will reduce the ability of higher players to coexist with lower players in the same alliance...
so we beta test changes to heroes but these decisions are made without any consultation....
If I were you, I would strongly suggest to put a stop to this immediately and go back to the drawing board....
I'll rephrase this request, keep the intended change of making map 5 free, but don't implement the ticket system yet. And in the event that the ticket system will go on as planned, strongly consider distributing the alliance treasury resources between all the members of the alliance instead of issuing tickets.
There are at least three very obvious problems with this, and I can't believe that this would be pushed live when it takes the community 5 minutes to point them all out:
Map 5 Resources - Map 5 alliance members donated a lot and often donated in advance for their Map 5 quests. Had they known of this change with enough advanced time, they would have slowed or stopped their donations and used those resources elsewhere in the game. The conversion to tickets gives them nothing usable if they continue in their normal course.
Mixed Map Alliances - Clearly asking people in mixed map alliances to bear the costs of their individual maps doesn't make any sense. Not sure how to fix this because if you blend the cost, it may work for a 7/6 alliance, but wouldn't work for a 6/5 alliance.
Pricing Increases - Having resource pricing increases per resources is seemingly counter to the purpose of allowing people to by solely with one resource. Previously people with excess gold could swap donations with someone with excess BCs. Now if you want to pay all in gold you get diminishing returns (the prior system didn't have diminishing returns because resources were aggregated on an alliance level).
These are just three quick examples of how this change negatively affects the player base. Not really something I think Kabam should be doing in the short term roadmap to address the community uprising about problems with the game...it's baffling to me how this got added to a list of changes that really should have been an apology to the player base.
with treasury, leadership can check the balance of gold\bc\loyaly and based on that to plan what map to run. with tickets, the leadership doesn't know how many resources\tickets every player has and if to to open map7,6 or even 5! you are trying to address one small problem that some small cheaters exploit, but you create one bigger problem that punished everyone else!

My suggestion - turn the stuff in the treasury into AQ tickets. Make the tickets buyable for individuals like you’re doing but make them donate tickets to the treasury instead off Resources. Same purpose of tickets but the alliance can split the cost evenly like before.
If you run map 6 in 1 bg and 5 in 2 you need 75 tickets per week/150 per 2 weeks so 30 people can each donate 5 tickets every 2 weeks or something
That defeats the goal of fighting Treasury Loaders and actually makes it much easier for them.
Wait so you can buy the tickets with multiple resources, which is good, but you have to pay more? Doesn't that kinda defeat the point of letting us choose what we want to pay if we have a surplus
I get where you're coming from, but when you donate to the Treasury, those resources become solely to open Alliance Quest Maps, and that's what Alliance Tickets.
It would be the same thing that happened if Map 5 became free without the new ticket system.
If map 5 became free without the tickets all players even the map 5 players could still donate to help cover the cost of the map 6 and 7.
Shared cost and shared rewards. In the ticket system shared rewards but not shared cost.
Dear Kabam... it’s not your job to manage resources in my alliance; that job belongs to me, the leader... thank you for destroying my alliance with your poor decision making

Couple of problems to start:

At least players get to choose what resource they want to spend when purchasing tickets.
- Map 5 Resources - Map 5 alliance members donated a lot and often donated in advance for their Map 5 quests. This isn't illicit or fraudulent trading it's working together with your team and alliance mates.
I cover someone's battlechips and they cover my gold. So double the battlechips and no gold not some silly scaled value.
On to of that map 6 battlechips cost me 45 a week to cover. Now it's 75 which is a big increase and twice that to cover battlechips and gold.
150 battlechips a week compared to the 90 I run now.
AQ is now much more expensive for map 6 and so much so I'm not sure I can continue playing.
I either need to pay more, do arena or say goodbye to being able to rank Champions.
I think this is a really great initiative but I think it needs fine tuning in regard to cost.
Shared cost and shared rewards. In the ticket system shared rewards but not shared cost.
