I hope you guys are watching alliance treasuries close today. Looks like you can still donate as of right now. Can only imagine the potential dumps about to happen
How about just remove the cost all together? And allow people to spend their resources on what they want instead of running AQ maps. AQs are still essential so people will play but being able to use your resources on your account might actually bring some enjoyment to the game instead of frustration.
Absolute shady move. We had months of Donations in, people were donating for each other because life. Not everyone can play all the time and that's where the understanding was. We are a bunch of guys playing together from years. And not everyone was doing the same maps, so we split the costs. We allowed some free donations to the guys who helped out the ally like set defense, plan war or aq, like a reward for them. And overnight, you guys just destroy years of hard earned donations and say take back only 5 months?
How/when does the ticket store (don’t know what to call it) reset?
Is 450 units worth of tickets for 1 week of map 7 accurate?
How can the alliance ensure players have tickets on hand to pay for the week? There is potential for players bad at accounting to leave the other players high and dry for the week.
This change is so out of touch with the resource allocation in the game. Loyalty is not easy to come by and the only way to acquire AW boosts so it basically forces people that want to be competitive in top tier AW to spend units. Then gold and BCs can be readily available depending on how you use your account (are you an arena grindr in which case BCs are more plentiful) or are you a spender (which gives you much more gold). Having diminishing returns on resource payment COMPLETELY ignores the problem that has plagued AQ donations for its entirety.
As I understand this change, you've even eliminated a very fair way that alliances were able to balance resource farming: people swapping, within their own alliance, resources (like gold for loyalty or gold for BCs) based on how they play their account. The scaling pricing should go away, or the only thing this change does is make it even worse for people that like to focus on one aspect of resource obtainment over another.
Map 5 players should get a refund of donations, not tickets
They are refunding your donations in tickets if you only do map 5 you have no need for tickets....
Exactly, we are only a map 5 ally, with no intentions of doing Map 6, so the tixs serve no purpose to us..NONE.. the smart thing to do, would be to split the current treasury amongst the alliance members
I get where you're coming from, but when you donate to the Treasury, those resources become solely to open Alliance Quest Maps, and that's what Alliance Tickets.
It would be the same thing that happened if Map 5 became free without the new ticket system.
Good point, but it still sucks though. I feel it would be a much fairer solution to split the alliance treasury amounts between the alliance mates and return them the resources. Yes definitely some will benefit more than others, but its better than getting AQ tickets that Map 5 alliances will never use.
Why do you even charge entry to aq to begin with.... Barrier to entry should be skill and roster development. Let everyone in the game try the hardest map. What difference does it make to anybody if it all comes down to prestige anyway. Really making the game worse at your most pivotal time in years.
basically you are killing all the alliances that run mixed maps! player who run map7 in alliance that run map766 is doing it only because it balance between the reward he can get and the donations he can give... now that the player still need to spend the same to enter into map7 why shouldn't he do it in a map777 alliance?

But without enough notice people would have donated resources for that map for those resources to become redundant. This only targets lower lever players, maybe you should have asked for feedback before going live with this change. This isn’t being open and honest with the community, it’s just implementing a change and we have to put up with it
I think this is a step in the right direction, there's no fix that's going to please everyone someone will be unhappy if they give everyone 5 tier 5 crystal someone going to ask why or why not 6. lets wait and see how the new process goes and be happy they're listening and trying to make things better.

Another move totally out of tune with what is happening at the ground level. No heads up to atleast burn back the excess donations. Many are gonna just quit coz not all are gonna farm resources by grinding. Choice should be on the team to let some players donations be taken care of, I can grind and pay the donations for my friend if I want to! Also years of having a system and you throw it away overnight???

Free AQ periods allow players to try the hardest map.
IMO.No entry costs allow players to continually run maps they are not capable of completing which has many negative effects a game designer wouldn’t want to encourage.
Another map 5 alliance who loses everything for something we will never do. The RIGHT thing to do is split it back up to the people who earned it and put it in. This is just like a government policy you pay in we keep it all...
Maybe there can be a way for players in an alliance to open a spot on a higher map but not take that spot. This allows lower map participants to share the cost burden. With that said the cost of AQ seems to have been made significantly cheaper so higher map players might not see much of an increase in the cost, but it is an increase in relative cost.

They would never refund Donations. Any idea how intricate that would be or long it would take? Splitting it up is equally as unfair. Some donated more, some less, some not at all. When you give a Donation, you don't get it back. That much has been true for the duration of the game.
It's so unnecessary in my opinion. The donation system is the least of the worries when it comes to AQ for a good chunk of the community. Kabam could've addressed so many other issues regarding AQ.
They could've tackled the energy timer issues or the general repetitiveness of AQ, or literally anything else, but no. They have to break the only thing that works fine. Almost nobody cares about the donations.

Come on dude.... you have been here long enough that you cant possibly believe this. But for the sake of argument lets debunk that:
- Alliance treasury existed to fund maps 5-7... which means map 5 was included.... so if an alliance only did 5x5, it would have significant resources on the treasury.... yet, instead of refunding the resources you give them tickets for map 6 and 7 which they cant use... if map 5 became free, the treasury could still be used to fund individual BGs in map 6 or 7, but now part of these tickets are given back to people that wont use them while forcing others to pay for the whole alliance
- The whole point of the new AQ system was to allow different maps for different BGs but now, in this poorly designed system, only the map 6 and 7 players pay full cost while everyone gets the same rewards.... obviously nonsensical
It is not possible that moderators/developers know so little about the game that they dont understand that... one has to ask, why do this???? it could have been easily solved by transforming the alliance treasury into a ticket holder where players donate with the same flexibility you suggested but still sharing the costs and the benefits.
This move will create friction between alliance mates... will reduce the ability of higher players to coexist with lower players in the same alliance...
so we beta test changes to heroes but these decisions are made without any consultation....
If I were you, I would strongly suggest to put a stop to this immediately and go back to the drawing board....
I feel this is unfair and basically stealing our resources that we have been accumulating for years. Especially with the battle chips that were donated and have just been sitting there since they took away battle chip cost. Those resources weren’t given they were earned!!!!

So if map 5 is ran do the people who do the map 5 BG need tickets?
