Remember when everybody thought Corvus Glaive was going to be useless? Or when everybody hated Ghost? Did you know that Dr Voodoo was one of the worst received Champions ever? Doctor Octopus didn't get his time in the sun until much later than his release.
Give it time, and remember that there's a lot more to Champions than just their big yellow numbers.
And doc ock STILL doesn't have his time in the sun.... He is actually a good champ guys! Insanely underrated.

He is a very good champ. Its just that he's old. If he ever gets an update, he'll be insane. Not that he needs one, but I think people would appreciate him if he was easy to use.

I have a 6* doc Oct and not gonna lie I have 0 idea how to use him

Old does not mean bad. Many often forget this in this community.
Many people have said the same about some of the best champs. As many have stated. Don’t forget that Kabam is allowed to make defenders as well, and Apocalypse looks like a beast on defense. And I believe he applies to stubborn. Which means if he has 4 charges, and you take that blocked hit to remove the indestructible, unless it’s a parry, bam, stunned.

Voodoo is still one my fav champs.
Voodoo is a OG that still holds value today. Love my 5/65 to death

Apocalypse has voids ability to put debuffs on opponent except they never end..high ranked apoc can get 700 plus per tick ....forever...not to mention all the utility and synergies

Yes but this takes a Sp1, sp2 AND and sp3 IF HE'S RAMPED UP. Or else he needs sp1 sp1 sp2 sp2 and sp3. That is significantly harder than void, making the ideal loop much harder. BG's video shows void taking down abyss hyperion, but void doesn't have to use a sp1, sp2, then an sp3. He just has to ....exist. He does have good potential, just a very very long buildup that'a not as rewarding as the buildup demands.
I personally don't think he's a bad champion altogether, just odd and unrealistic, like the rest of the 2020 champs. Odd and unrealistic are however unfortunately duds because we have realistic and rewarding champs.
But there is absolutely no doubt, apocalypse will be by far the strongest and most annoying AW final boss ever unless everyone brings full teams of robots which is not gonna happen.
And please do not make apocalypse the final boss of ANY AQ season
He has his counters so even if he is made the final boss just bring a good counter
If he starts at 3 charges cause he defends the final boss node you only have 1 chance while using a non-robot champ to get him down before his block break activates for every fight after that. The only way i know to not do that is to use robot and there aren't too many choices for good robots(vision, warlock, nebula, maybe darkhawk). Not to mention he is practically stun immune since he starts at 3 charges as final boss so there is really little room for error. And If he gets to 4 charges, stun immune + block break on light attack is going to be super difficult to deal with. Ghost might work sure, but we'll have to see.

It honestly surprises me how the managed to mess up Apocalypse. He has basically every ability. Pick and choose things people will like. They will like apocalypse. Also just make champs realistic dammit. You guys said yourselves, "we want choices to be made outside of the actual fight". Why put in a choose 1 mechanic then?
Also you said in the developer notes that long and complicated abilities that don't deliver are bad. Well, "immunities that last the entire quest but need 8 seconds" is long and complicated and doesnt deliver. "Use sp1, sp2, after gaining 4 charges or fighting mutants, use heavies to refresh debuffs, and sp3 to lock them in and double them" is VERY long and complicated. Why not just let him have access to the doubled debuff from the start and just lock it in with the sp3? Then at least he'd have nice utility.
If I was a bargaining man I'd bet they made him before the dev diaries, because he goes against the supposed new character development path.
If he was made after, then well either Kabam lied to us and really don't care at all about sticking to what they said, or someone in the dev team is incompetant, unable to think of simpler and more elegant solutions, say simply increasing his attack rating by a certain amount per unique debuff so that it works well with his prowess and synergy and people wouldn't complain about damage.
Either way, I'm sad already because I was excited to see short yet complicated to play, elegant and rewarding champ designs.
Wait I saw someone say that Claire V was the worst mystic for About 24 hours is that true? How can a character be misjudged so badly lol and if that’s the case I’m waiting until Apoc drops to see how good he is

Do you know who's gotten an incredible resurgence in recent weeks?
Red Hulk.
Do you know how long it's been since he was released?
Three YEARS.
Granted, he went through a slight rework last year, but even THEN he was nothing more than a Domino trinity piece for a long time.
Now he's the lane 9 specialist and Man-Thing killer.
Every champ can be good in time. Apoc has a lot of the pieces needed for him to be good now and later. Just need the pieces to fall his way.
hehehe

Intercept, backdrafts they exist too.
Just play around him and don't block.
Ghost should make light work of him.
