The criticisms are pretty much still valid because of course he’s going to be a beast on a full mutant team, the problem is how many times is anyone really going to run a full mutant for that juicy 60% attack boost? He potentially has the same problem Invisible Woman has which is that she’s ridiculously overshadowed by the team and as a result having no real purpose or practical use.
If someone’s running Apocalypse, they’ll most likely bring champions like AA, Mags, Colossus, Omega Red, Domino, etc, etc. if your using this stacked of a team when why would anyone bother to use Apoc and that’s not to say it’s because he’s bad, but those other mutants are also really really good, there’s just a redundancy to it all.
I’ll admit I am excited at the prospect of running a full mutant team that covers all ground in terms of utility, but to do that your roster has to be deep.
Which makes it embarassing how bad the testing of the CCP is. None of them take a realistic approach to testing. I don't have a Cable lying around to use, nor would I use resources just as aid for one champion. I do not consider an all-mutant team reasonable, I need my slots for other counters. In reality I would only bring Apocalypse with Archangel.
@Colonaut123 Hmmm - so you never brought Wasp along with Ghost? Sabretooth for Omega? Champion for Thing? Proxima for Corvus? Fury for CMM - I think you get the point. Synergy exists.
Apocalypse is absolutely incredible. Mutant is the most stacked & diverse class in the game - and the addition of Big Poco and Professor FleX only added to that. Running a stacked all mutant team is 10000% feasible across a large bunch of Endgame content.
It doesn't matter if you have to bring 5 mutants if you make it through the lane in less than 10 minutes using one champ.

I love seeing people who don't have Apocalypse hit that disagree button here after I've done an obscene amount of hours of testing - always a great time hahaha

Just saw your Apocalypse war video. He looks amazing. Did you notice the typo in his horseman ability on other mutants at the start of the match though?
Wait... is this the real Karatemike?! OMG fangirl mode activated lol.
Woah woah woah, you're a girl 😰? Ngl, that kind of explains the "My friends and I tried to lick our elbows" thing. (Not being sexist, it's just totally something my sister would do.) 😶

Sorry we embarrass you though my dude! 💪🏻
@Karatemike415 That's what I said. I would bring Apocalypse with Archangel. But I wouldn't fill my entire team with mutants just to boost the attack of Apocalypse to Beyond Dud Tier.
I do believe testing should be broad, to include as many situations. Unlike whales, not everybody have all champions in all rarities, and sufficiently ranked-up to be useable.
This is not a specific criticism to you, but a general critique to the CCP programme. It lacks player diversity.
I have no problem in bringing synergies to improve champ. But the problem is how the synergies work.
For Apocalypse you need Sinister/Cable/Kang synergy and one champ that you want to make Horseman. -To get 4 charges you need to enter a fight and then quit if you want to make someone horseman or you can continue using apoc for that fight. -When you make horseman he uses his charge. He can only make horseman when he has 4 charges. -Without the synergy you need to collect the charges during multiple fights. -He can only make one champ horseman for entire quest(I'm not sure about this one but his description says once per quest).
I picked up Apoc have taken him to rank5, he may not have big Yellow numbers but he has so much more utility.
being able to place concussion and weakness debuffs is great, obviously degen, bleed and poison are good as well but others can do that already, the best thing about his debuffs is they can't be purified and you can pause them to make them permanent for me that is big.
He still took down WS in around 88 hits and thats with his specials having so many hits, add to that kit the synergies and his ability to regen when not fighting I think all around he is pretty damn good.
I don't regret using the materials on him as he adds something different, I already have the big yellow numbers he others something completely different.
Was that solo or with full synergy team, I'm assuming it was a full synergy team, and you're talking about 5 star apocalypse right??

You can get WS down is way less hits than that with a R5. You can either go for faster with more hits or less hits but a bit slower. If all you do is heavy spam between specials it cuts the hits down significantly. I think my last run was 56 hits with a R2 and I didn't even have a full mutant team. Didn't even make it to sp3 to get the increased debuff damage either
There are alot of underrated champs in this game. Somebody says they are garbage and everybody believes it is true...watch fewer videos and find out for yourself! Look at fewer "spreadsheets" and you might find an overlooked diamond.
