100% agree with the OP. This month's Cav difficulty was the most fun I've have in MCOC since the My Little Symbiote event. I would play that type content for zero rewards, honestly. Give me 12 of these a year...with a rewards buff to appease the masses... and I'm Gucci. WELL DONE, KABAM! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I think many have missed Seatin’s overall point. I don’t think he was criticizing the difficulty as much as the difficulty compared to the rewards and furthermore other content that is less time consuming, easier and better rewards. It was more about the overall effect on the monthly like changing completion rewards for uncollected for example. I didn’t hear that he said it was hard just niche.
Tbh it is too time consuming for a monthly event. 150k to 250k health pools is too much, well 150k is probably the right number to be around. I’m going to 100% it all anyways plus uncollected, so the rewards structure doesn’t matter to me as much as someone you can’t.
Putting out 100+ hit fights is too a lot when you have to do 7 fights a path for 30ish lanes. Personally I would lower them, but I also understand kabam wants this content to last (hopefully) beyond 6* r3.
I think a whole hell of a lot of people are missing the fact that just throwing in more and more and more constantly does absolutely nothing but speed up whatever comes next. People are still crying constantly about their 6* luck and how bad their 6*s are. Well if they just dump massive amounts of shards and t5c into monthly content, sure your 6* roster might be a lot better in 6 months but guess what, they'll also be on their way out bc 7*s will be on their way.
The more rewards they dump into monthly content, the faster those things lose value so the next thing comes sooner. After people have enough t5c, t3a and t6b have to come, after that the next thing. Constantly asking for more is far from always a good thing in the grand scheme of things.
As long as the content is balanced that people are able to complete it reasonably and it's fun, the rewards should be an afterthought as long as they still help you progress.
The rewards are fine. The game is little broken right now, if you have enough money and time you can beat act 5 in a week, act 6 in a month, and being endgame player after 2 months or 3. Kabam needs to do something to slow it down.
I haven’t seen Seatins video. I have to agree that the rewards looked very underwhelming to me.
I am cavalier but simply because my only R5 5* is Warlock. I haven’t touched the monthly EQ cav difficulty yet. My roster is not stacked since I only have a handful or so of R4 5* and a few R1 6*. I will be able to clear some but all??? Totally fine that the cav difficulty may not be for me yet. I don’t use resources/units to clear content so If I can’t get content done by my skill set I just leave it alone. I think it’s good that Kabam has added this difficulty for the end game players to enjoy a challenging monthly EQ.

I agree OP, I really enjoyed Cav Difficulty. I actually am alright either the reward, I just want to see the six star shards bumped so that we can form a full six star between Cav and UC
This. Difficulty is pretty good. Only node that i hate is the tech one because its never used in the quest IMO. I do think we should be able to form a full 6* from UC and Cav 100%

I wasn’t stating opinion just clarifying Seatin’s video because there’s a lot of misinformation on what he said. As in this case right here people read and hear what they want.
I somewhat disagree with both Seatin and most of the posters in this thread.
To disagree with Seatin, I don’t think the content is too difficult. It should be difficult and I tend to think it is targeted at long term players with large rosters. Even though he has been able to skill and try hard his way into being Cavalier with his FTP accounts it doesn’t mean he should enjoy Cavalier EQ with them; I don’t think rarely played accounts with limited highly ranked champs is what the top monthly EQ should be targeted toward.
To disagree with much of this thread, I thought Cav EQ was incredibly repetitive. Because the nodes were mostly global, with a minor extra node on most paths, almost every chapter was doing the same thing for 3-7 paths. I used 1-2 champs in basically every chapter for almost every fight because there was no incentive to do otherwise. That’s incredibly boring when running 3-7 paths with 200k health pools in each chapter.
I don’t envy kabam the task of creating this content on a monthly basis and I think this was overall a good first attempt. I think rewards/time ratio is slightly off and would support a drop in the health pools or a slight increase in rewards. I think Seatin was largely guilty of hyperbole; but that’s pretty much a prerequisite for YouTube.
ETA: The Mystic buff was insane, as usual. Would be nice if buffs for other classes could meet the level of benefit mystics always get. V5 had this issue as well.
I agree. Posted in a different thread. Overall this content is great. The rewards and the completion change are my biggest gripe. The overall difficulty is good.
I do think they need to true east path as well and to actually make completion serve the purpose they dictated. Also don’t feel like these rewards are capable of lasting because they feel lacking already(to much focus on the previous “economy”).
Outside of those items the last couple months really do feel like Kabam is listening from the spring and trying to change e game
I’m not cavalier so accuse me for not fully understanding everything. From what I’ve seen this is quite fair and puts up a fun challenge. It’s quite fair and quite fun. But the rewards are not the best with a little bit of tuning they will be great. Watching seatins video Jesus Christ man. The only thing I agreed with him on was the rewards being subpar but other wise his points were kinda Wack.
It's definitely for endgame players not sure I'll ever be in that category but I think seatin is right the compensation makes no sense if you can run variant 5 for more rewards
I think Seatin nailed it. Cavalier is a disappointment. Either decrease the difficulty or increase the rewards. It could have been something fresh or exciting but it's just meh. People who have the right champs will find it fun, people who don't will find it painful. Magik boss is a roster check, so it's gotta be for endgame players. If it's supposed to be for them, who have all the god tier champs already, the rewards are just bad. If the rewards are aimed to help progressing players, they probably don't have the proper counters to clear the content.
Making chapters class specific wasn’t warranted. This only helps those with large champ rosters. If you have a highly ranked but niche roster you are penalised unnecessarily

The comparison to v5 is nonsense, v5 has some much harder paths, higher attack values and is way more restrictive, being limited to the champs that it is. Synergies are basically out. There’s a SW boss and only 4 poison immune champs you can bring, one isn’t in the basic pool yet plus fights like havok, iceman, hulkbuster with very few pure counters.
To make cav eq anywhere near as restrictive you’d have to limit each quest to the boosted classes. Even then cav would be way more fun.
Obviously the v5 rewards are better. Cav eq could clearly do with a buff there to appeal to those who play the game primarily for rewards. I play for fun so it doesn’t bother me as much though obviously still need to fill holes in roster etc, plus the side quest is basically a massive giveaway for progressing cav and uncollected players.
Also find it a bit weird that a lot of people complaining about how long it takes have nearly explored it. Probably the same people that will complain there is nothing to do in a week.
Personally I’m nearly done with it and I’ve only used some refills I already had and my free energy. I’ll have it done by Wednesday.

I’ve got two accounts, 500k and 650k. Hardly a big dog, more of a snappy little terrier. If I spend a single resource fully exploring this eq on either ill be very surprised. 75% through so far on one and nothing doing..
Cav eq is for me the best content they’ve made for a long while, focussing purely on the playing experience. Felt exactly what we collectively asked for in terms of nodes, boosts, rewarding not punishing gameplay, reasonable attack values etc.

They aren’t class specific. Just some champs in one class gets a boost making it doable with r3 or 5/50 level champs. You can bring whoever you like that counters the nodes.
My one and only problem for cav so far is mainly because of my severe lack of cosmic 5 and 6* so that buffed up quest hasnt really been fun for me lmao.

Cavalier difficulty is not for all cavalier. Some became cavalier with 1 or 2 rank 5 5*, they can't play it yet and should be it.
Lol, i became cavalier with no 5r5 or 6r2, yet i now where i stand in right now, i can't explore all chapter 3 but i don't complain anything, and know when to quit but some young cavalier seem don't know to give up

Haven't done this content yet - I'm in no hurry to 'clear content' that's there to entertain me for a month.
Good to read most of the comments though; and the general appreciation of the design (both 'interesting' nodes and the 4* milestones)
I've been asking for years for Kabam to introduce a 23-hr event or milestone that encourages you to use lower-tier champs; so that all those older champs we ranked up to 3* 3/30 or 4* 4/40 don't just gather dust (and all those resources aren't wasted).
It's a potential way to reduce the need for ever-more-powerful champs; if you're rewarded for using less-powerful ones.

Loved the new nodes (except tech, that was pretty useless and mutant didn’t work half the time).
Some bosses are making me put effort into bringing actual counters again, something uncollected hasn’t managed for a long, long time.
