I’m sure they’ll throw some T5cc fragments in 7.1 completion and exploration. All us high end Cav players can just use the units we’ve saved burning through that. Maybe the plan all along was to help us save the units to experience this new content even if we aren’t quite ready.
Dont get me wrong im fuming and stopping spending, but thats my choice. If people want to spend and praise Kabam that's their choice, don't insult them. We are entitled to disagree with each other but if people are getting hurtful then we are hurting the fan base too.
Then you have a bunch of people hitting TB much faster than they should and it's the whole cycle all over again.
Lol. I can become Cavalier today, run through Abyss and Act 6 and jump to Thronbreaker in literally 24 hours. All I need would be Aegon, Doom at 5/65 and certain champions at R4 for some bosses of act 6. 5-6k units would guarantee all those initial clears and with RNG, I can R3 any useless champion and hit TB title.
There is no 'cycle' for hitting Thronebreaker. There is just 1 thing involved, RNG. Someone playing this game for 5 years is way behind someone who like me playing for 2 years and having 8 Rank 3s just because my luck was way better than their initial clear of Act 6 and Abyss
Yes. There's a cycle. Kabam sets a bar, people pile through it, and there starts a need for another bar. Uncollected, Cavalier, and now Thronebreaker. Only, with Thronebreaker, they had to create another bar that would separate progress and space it out because the direction of content has changed. Progress is not only measured by what content you've done. It's also measured by how far along your Account is. The cycle I'm talking about is the number of people getting past the hurdle increasing too fast and making it too hard to keep up with, and accommodate everyone. We spent years with people lumped in to Uncollected/Cavalier, and ranged anywhere in between. The fact that people can have the "right Champs", watch the right YouTube tutorials, and jump past content with ease, without putting time and effort into developing their Accounts, is reason enough alone to have something else serve as a spacer. Now people are kicking and screaming because they might actually have to wait and work towards it.
Except accounts like mine. Staring at Thronebreaker accounts that bought everything but I'm further in progress have a more developed roster. I can tell you right now if you don't spend, but 100 all the variants, cav eg (including 4* challenge), personal problems slowed my exploration of act 6 only 100 upto and including 6.2. With my rng 50% of every class is where you are at. I'm at 7 r2 6* right now and my choice at this moment to get that title if I get skill is unduped kp or classic dd. I would in a heart beat r3 my r2 punisher 2099, but would prefer my guillotine 2099, maybe my glaive or rhulk who i would do over my void as rhulk is duped, even my domino but no classic dd has to be it. These offers are what to accounts like mine. I have r5 gems sitting in stash right now that I have no interest to use but hey for an oden I can add more to it.
Tbf I wouldn't be as salty of this stupid decision on kabam part would be that random 10% to be a selector or that r5 gem was the cats instead. The unit deals do what to help anyone get tb.
They screwed a vast population of the game. I have never once felt a pay wall skill could get you there maybe not as fast as coin but still did and I could use any champ to do so. Rng should never be tied to any progress as the only way to eliminate it is coin. They only get my money on cyber weekend but now they get 0 and in fact I'm on the cusp of leaving game. Just my personal experience but I'm not alone.
Here’s a question no one should ever have to ask: how many cavalier summoners would rather re-buy July 4 offers than this weekend’s offers?
That was in my mind when I wrote my comment. For sure I regret to not have bought all the 4th July offers. And if they were proposed today, I would buy them.
I somewhat regret not blowing all 5k units I had at the time on Aegon cavalier crystals last month. Might have got nothing, might have finally got the Aegon I’ve been hunting for the past year.
I’m really upset! I just realized that there were different offer for the thronebraker respect cavaliers. I already bought the offers and looking at the difference is crazy! I already complete act 6 and abyss months ago and I have several 6 stars, but no one to rank 3 because of the mismatch between my cata class 5 and my rooster, and it depends on lucky! And so I cannot have the same offer of a thronebraker because I didn’t have the luck to find a champion to rank 3! And this will bring to have a wider difference on player based on lucky and not on the game! I’m really disappointed, this difference it is insane! I would really have a feedback Kabam on how you would manage it. I think that it will bring to go out definitely by the game! I hope there will be a compensation for that! Or let me know how I can ask to be refund! I didn’t play at Las Vegas, I’m playing a game that SHOULD NOT BE A GAMBLE! Thank you for a real feedback!
I’ve been playing this game since the start. Been leading an alliance for half of it. Took almost 12 months off last year and this year I’ve been struggling to invest due to real life circumstances.
I’ve been keeping up playing the minimum. Just map 6 and war. Did a pass of abyss and had a rank 3 so prestige was ok.
This weekend has destroyed that. Cav deals offered absolutely nothing of value - and nothing that I even needed or wanted.
By comparison throne breaker was the only group where RNG for the first time was dialled back and people got to choose much of what they wanted.
T5cc galore and you could choose the class. So many god tier 6*s for next to nothing.
One of alliance mates went from 1 6r3 to 7 for crying out loud. And I progressed exactly zero all just because I hadn’t quite finished a pass of act 6.
I get difference and level and tiers. But cavalier and throne breaker aren’t even comparable.
The cav deals have nothing myself and many other cav players need or want. And the little bit there is all 100% RNG.
Throne breaker is broken (and I want it lol). Choose the class of whatever you want - t5cc no problem, 6* hero’s sure.
I feel so bad now just watching most of alliance draw so far away from me in one weekend I just have no chance of staying with them or catching them.
Competition aside I didn’t even get one new champ I could have some fun with - I got nothing but a bitter resentful taste in my mouth that will stay with me every time I play any of the daily alliance events.
Thanks Kabam - I love this game but I feel like I’m being told to leave just as I had one year of heavy real life commitments.
So frustrated hearing @Kabam Miike keep repeating stuff we have heard 100 times before like “we will learn for the future”. How many times do the player base need to be treated like ****, for you guys to learn anything. Was really looking forward to this weekend, saving units for months and now this ****.
Maybe I should just play candy crush instead of this clown-fiesta of a game.

Agreed its hindered us as players massively as we fall miles behind the elites despite not being too far off the title but relying on RNG to help us.
I ended up ranking my darkhawk to r3, used deals and cash offer for sig Stones. Fun fact from the featured i got cable and also warlock and guilly99. After ranking up darkhawk as best tech, its pretty sadistic pull. Its a form of art. Annyhow this what i did. Sacrefised my first R3, but got 2 god tier 6* in return.
What's crazy is I bet plenty of throne breakers didn't even have to beat act 6 pre-nerf (I beat the champion pre-nerf) yet they get those offers. I think whats so frustrating is i was planning on spending $300 on deals to get that last 20% of the cc i need and then picking up 2 throne breaker Odins but not only can I not do that but I also have to watch throne breakers get exactly what I need with just one Odin...brutal and nonsense!
I saved up units and Itune cards for this **** show they offered for Cavalier players. I have 27 six star champs why in the world would you offer t4 basics and 5 star shards to anyone on end game content. I’ll just use my Itunes Card on Call of Duty this time. Such a dissappu
I am irritated with myself for buying anything from cyber weekend. I should not have supported how poorly Cavalier players were treated. It would be nice if someone at that company took a minute to look at the July 4th deals and realized we should improve or at least match these. Guess that's not how thing work.
I have a feeling the TB whales bailed them out and Kabam will do nothing. On top of they already CYA’d themselves with the blue line leading up to Cyber Weekend on how they will not change anything. If only the TB’s didn’t spend in solidarity with us we would have had a chance to force some real change. Let’s face it peeps, we Cav players have been left in the dust by Kabam and the TB’s.
These deals are final nail in the coffin of F2P players who keep grinding units just to buy something to push their content but they get all the ****
I’m “Breaker of Thrones” and F2P from 5 years. Kept grinding units to push my prestige up to catch with my fellow teammates and hoped for getting some t5cc selectors so that i can take some of my 6* up but I don’t think these unit deals help a tiny bit. Brian Grant was right “it’s a slap on face of F2P players”
Further next month Act6 compensation coming and I know that too gonna disappoint us.
Cash Deals are only something through which you can get guaranteed returns but at least give something to f2p players also once in a year so they can also progress by spending units
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how to communicate. Here’s how this entire trashfire could have been avoided:
1) announce Thronebreaker and the requirements in the roadmap, with the estimated launch date.
2) explain at that time that the cavalier pool is too big. July 4 offers will be split between 5-star focus (short-term gains and early cavalier players) and 6-star offers for people likely to be TB early.
3) say that while the typical arc of offers is that they improve over time, Black Friday is likely to have a “correction” for the changes to the cavalier player pool (I.e. Thronebreaker players being separated out)
4) don’t announce fake nerfs to 6.1 and 6.2 so players will go ahead and explore for that t5cc 25%.

This I actually completely agree with. F2p players both on the Cav and TB side got royally boned with the unit caches. They were so bad I originally thought they had made a mistake when I saw them honestly.

I wasn't getting my hopes up for selectors in the unit based deals, but there was a silly low amount of t5cc crystals. At a time when they are more abundant in the game, we were offered less t5cc than on July 4th. And where are the sig stones? I dont have a ton of champs to sig up, but why are we getting fewer sig stones than in July? Makes no sense
The 6* sig stone situation for f2p players is flat out embarrassing for Kabam imo. I can't for the life of me understand what they're thinking at the moment
As someone who's been a heavy spender for years, I definitely expect to have access to more of resources faster than someone that is f2p. I do not however expect or want to be the only person that has access to those resources in any reasonable amount though. Regardless of what level or amount someone f2p plays this game currently there's basically no way to get 6*s to even usable sig levels if that champ has any sort of reliance on their sig ability. It's pretty ridiculous
They never made spades of Cats available. They made some available. Before the Thronebreaker Title even existed. People seem to leave out that fact.
No.... in the LAST MONTH there have been no less than 4 opportunities to buy t5cc selectors, so stop being a spokesman and misrepresenting the facts to prove your nonexistent point.
If it were to me, content should have the most rarest of resources locked behind it. Deals should allow you have to tools to reach that but not actually give it to you. For example, if you lock t5cc behind 6.4 exploration then the deals should only sell t5b, t2a, revives, boosts to help you unlock t5cc. That's what other games that I play did. Sell the tools but never the prize. But mcoc has always sold the prize which just cheapens the content and takes away the motivation to even complete the content.
I know of many whales who have no intention of 100% act 6. They would rather buy the deals because there is nothing unique in act 6 exploration rewards that money can't buy.
They've definitely monetized the highest tier resource more over the last couple of years than in the past. There weren't R5s in the game before 5.4 released but there were R3s before 6.4. Even as a spender it's not a direction I'm fond of honestly.
One question for those who did not spend, which is many, would you spend over the next few days, if the offers were beefed up, like more t5cc or t5b added to deals? Got to give some more info just in case....you never know lol. Not likely but who knows
Cash deals no because my cash won't get the max value. Unit deals possibly if theres a fair amount of T5CC

T5cc have been monetized in an exclusive way that t5b weren’t. The recurring t5b offer was 100 units for 1%, usually 6750 frags for 1500 units with some gold and part of a t2a.
I don’t recall a t5cc unit deal besides July 4, and it certainly hasn’t been recurring.

I'd rather offers for the highest tier resource (t5cc currently or t5b in the past) be locked behind earning your first full one through content until its no longer the top resource. Can't buy t5cc until you've explored act 6 or completed abyss and so on. At least in that instance someone has to do the content before they can just hoover up rank ups through spending.

That’s a valid viewpoint, but clearly not what Kabam chose. They chose to sell, and to only sell for cash. I wouldn’t be as bothered by the constant $50 deals if the wall you’re discussing existed.
The quantities also need to be adjusted for the fact that they’re scattered across 6 classes. From a lens of securing your first rank 3, if you have 50 t5cc 2% crystals, you aren’t getting a full t5cc. You’re getting 30% or less of whatever you want (probably closer to 15%). I think a lot of the random 2’s should have probably been 5’s, and that cavalier should probably be 15% per month.
I’m over here watching the world’s slowest horse race, creeping towards 75% of a catalyst so I can go beat the grandmaster and get over the hump.
If no Cav players spend come Christmas on Greater Gifting Crystal's their bank accounts will be hit as hard as our pride as being offered such awful deals.
I know this thread has exhaustively covered the topic, but yeah the unit deals were a real crushing blow. I didn’t have units for the offers on the 4th, so I hit the arena grind hard for months in order to get the deals this weekend. It was supposed to be a fun day and reward for all the effort. And to put it quite simply, it took away my fun.
I'm wondering how long Kabam thinks a game will last without an engaged middle class as they have relegated Cavs to. I can tell you in the real world it doesn't work. There is no rat race for cats to enjoy without rats.

I’m pretty shocked they made such a crazy decision to screw over so many players
