4* Star Lord Challenge = Unitman 4* Canada Challenge = Sassy&Sabretooth , that would be fun-ish ( magik.. ) 4* Inhuman Challenge = Even more Unitman, u have very limited time for a 4* champion which u can use Medusa or Blackbolt. For Blackbolt u need hit monkey. But hit monkey is not an Inhuman.. GG 6.1.5 = Doable challenge, it's a fun one. 6.2.6 = Hyperion,Ice Man, Magik, Void... But it's a fun one. 6.2.5 = It's doable , u can use Corvus&Proxima, Aarkus or 10 charged Cull. 5.3.1 = Fun one, doable and well thought. 5.2.6 = @Kabam Miike I really dont know what to say, lol
5.4.6 = This one seems ok but when u dig in , it's a big problem. When u enter the map u choose between Yellowjacket and Electro. If u go Electro , u die with his damage reflection. If u go Yellowjacket, after his buff he doesn't need to hit Mystic champions to place power stings, instead he places them when he launces. What does it mean ? If u launch any special u die, if u don't u get stun and u die. Let's say u spent so many revives on Yellowjacket and get in to portal here are your paths ; Vigor : U can steal them but opponents have also heal mechanics no way u can steal everything. Bane : Hyperion, Juggernaut and Rhino waits for you. Buffet : No way he can outdamage buffet. Power : Spider Man OG , And Ice Man with his coldsnap is there, waiting to slaugher you. Biohazard : Loki can't go there. Bleed&Poison : Loki doesn't have any immunities. Resistor : Abomination and Hulkbuster won't let Loki pass them. Rage : Well maybe you have a chance in this path. To sum up , Loki has only a chance on 1 Path. Even 4* Loki alone would be hard enough, but 3* ? 3* is insanity.

To be fair her guys. 6 of the challenges looks doable enough with skill and not needing lots of items. I think we all agree tho that the 3 challenges involving 4* and labyrinth are extreme money grabs... if they would have done some changed to enrager id be fine with it but as it stands it got nothing to do with skills what so ever which is a darn shame

The Kamala khan Vs champion one is alright since It's actually a skill based fight. Having to revive through iceman and magik just to get there's gonna suck tho.
Thankfully it's permanent so I can chip away at them and get it done, no way I'm dumping units into them right now when grandmaster gauntlet and summer of pain are next month though.

You have to understand that some people prefer to play the game by stockpiling units and smashing their way through content stress-free. You don't have to play that way, but the door should be open for those that want to.

Take the grandmaster for example. You can easily take him down with 1000 units and very little skill. However I would still argue it is very much a skill based fight because it can be soloed with skill.
What I'm saying is that for a fight to be skill based, it doesn't have to be impossible to smash through with units and revives.

the difference between the champion and the grandmaster to me is that champion REQUIRED skill to kill, if you didn't have the skill, you simply would never kill him. Grandmaster does not require any skill to kill
That's actually not exactly true. If you were willing to spend enough, you could get lucky and beat him even if you didn't really have the timing down right. If the Champion was 100% pure skill, then the lowered indestructible charge version wouldn't be any less of a skill challenge, because it is impossible for more charges to require skill but fewer to not require skill at all. What more charges does is make it exponentially more difficult to spend past the Champion, not make it impossible to spend past him.
It is precisely the fact that you can get lucky through constant repetition that is why I opposed reducing the indestructible charges. It lowers the luck barrier too low in my opinion compared to the level of skill required to get past it. But even in his original incarnation, if you wanted to spend an unlimited amount of units just constantly reviving and trying, you would eventually get lucky with the dexes enough times in a row to get past him.
Things are rarely completely binary in this game.There is nowhere that spending doesn't offer some kind of advantage, not even in the Champion fight. This was even one of my complaints in the OG 7.1 beta: that some paths were not impossible to beat, but were just causing me to stop and restart enough times that I couldn't even be sure myself if I was beating them with skill or with luck when it came to certain problematic fights. Which is not ideal for difficulty design.
The Champion fight is over inflated on the skill aspect. Yes, it requires some skill but they artificially made the dex of the headbutt way harder to catch the input than it should be. Others weren't even aware at the time that you can simply dex the karate chop. We need to stop making it the pedestal of skill. Really all we want is content worthy of our rank 6 stars and that's long and short of it. I don't mind using other rarities outside of 4 stars. I refuse to waste any resources on those champions.
Such content is going to be very rare until more than a handful of people have a significant number of R3s, and by the time that happens R4s are going to be imminent if not already here. That's just the practical reality. Even these objectives are probably end game stop gaps (as they are stated to reuse existing content) specifically because the resources to make such content are very high relative to the amount of people who could possibly benefit from it.
I disagree completely. We got plenty of r5 5 star content far before most players had access to them on the regular basis. I have 35 r5 5 stars, when I running through act 6 I had maybe 10-15 for majority of it. Lets stop acting like r3 6 star content is hard request. As you will recall, I had to be convinced that the OG 7.1 beta was too hard, because I was not having any issues completing it. And as I recall, one of the most vocal people trying to make that case was you. So by all means, tell me how much I'm afraid of end game content.
We wanted a challenge. And we wanted a challenge that mainly allowed us to use our 6* R3 that we’ve busted out asses to get. We didn’t get that. Instead we got a 4* single champ restricted LOL with an enrage timer of 1 minute before we die.
It's not the hard ones we complain about, it's the impossible ones. It is impossible to beat LOL with 4* SL without dumping a ton of units. It's also impossible to get past either Electro or Yellowjacket with a 3* Loki without dumping a bunch of revives.

The difference being we are seeing whole path solo in abyss now using 5/65 and 6r3 champs. If Kabam had said do that in abyss, it would make sense. LOL path using only 4* star lord is impossible without spending revives.

And that’s the part of the abyss I hate most too, the hit counter is the worst part and takes a large amount of skill out of the equation. It punishes good play and basically says if you can survive this long tough luck you’re dead.

If there remove the enraged timer it wil be fair and remove the damage cap
Done some testing here with my 4* R3 Loki (don’t have my 3* past R1): if you face electro you can constantly throw your SP1 with minimal damage taken. You deal roughly 200 total damage out of a 65k health pool. To win that is a 30 minute fight, and you haven’t even started on the actual path. Get past all that and you still have the Ultron boss as well. Now take into account that’s a 4* R3 as well. Oof.

I think there are some positives to take away from this. The Xmen challenge, the cosmics challenge, and maybe a couple of the others look very challenging and doable. LOL challenges I will likely never complete.
I would just like to say I’m very happy these challenges are like this. Too hard to complete. I am SO SICK of the “it’s too easy” complaints, so you guys can work on these for a few years. Enjoy!
Yeah I waited and was looking forward to this challenge but I really didn't expect it to be an unreasonable unit dump. I I already did LOL with a 4 star SL for my initial clear and it wasn't fun then and it is certainly not anything I would do again. But with the announcement I look forward to actually being able to test my r3 6 stars so I can't be too mad. Look forward to the changes to come.
