Hi folks, just wanted to pop in and clarify that you do have the entire event (into October's event) to make your way through these solo objectives. Yes, a new set of objectives will open every week, but you do not have to catch them right when they open every week. When you finish your current set of objectives, the next one will become available to you, even if you are weeks behind. Hope this helps.
That doesn’t make it better. These are overkill, get rid of these massive solo objectives. Would be way better to just make a quest.
you can do these while you do your event quest or story content or whatever - you know, stuff you already do anyway. this is LESS work than having a dedicated side quest.
100 fights over a whole week - surely youd get that just accidentally.... i barely put any effort in to last weeks one and got it easily in a few days...
It's 100 fights per star level finished with a special attack unless I am mistaken. Even though last week was a bit bs with need to have the champs or going to farm the same quest over and over, I'd take last week 100 times over.

The problem I have is distrust. I don't believe the next weeks will be less p.i.t.a. On the announcement we see similar amounts required for the objectives. I have no clue what it is but this reeks of unearthly grind

Uh no, I’m done all story questing. I finished cav difficulty and still have fights remaining on that goal. So no, you can’t complete these just by doing normal questing. You have to seek out these fights specifically. This is more then a dedicated side quest. Smh

The amount of time to do this isn't the reason people don't like the objective. It's the fact that it's boring, repetitive, and uncreative. Would you enjoy doing the same thing 100 times?

At least remove the "defeats with sps", smh, now i can't even auto-play EQ and calculate to not overkill before use sps

@Kabam Boo I'm sorry but that doesn't help at all. It's just plain horrible. And unfortunately the design locks our progression. It's not like I can miss out on the day and then I've lost out on those rewards. Now it's like: if I miss out on a day, I'm going to miss out on an entire week's worth of rewards, and potentially have limited / no access to next month's event. Like, why?

Personally, as an arena grinder I'm probably not going to have any difficulty grinding these objectives out, but the critical issue here is that while players technically have the entire event (55 days and counting as of today) to get through *all* of the objectives, they don't have that amount of time to get through *this* objective. In fact, players have no idea how much time they have to get through this objective, because they have no idea how much time they might need for all of the other weekly objectives. Players cannot casually knock these out slowly because they might run out of time on a later objective, especially given the magnitude of this one.
If one set of objectives comes out every week, players have to assume that *on average* they have to complete each set in about a week. If they take four weeks to do this one, or five or six, how are they expected to complete the rest? They can't assume there will be enough time to do that.
The only way it would be reasonable to expect players to complete these objectives in more than one week is if they knew with reasonable certainty that downstream objectives will take a lot less than a week: that they would be substantially easier to grind out. But they can't know that without knowing what they are in advance. The safe assumption is to assume they will all be as time consuming as this one.
I'm also assuming that a player only attempts one tier of objectives. I don't believe players should automatically assume they will be able to grind out every tier of this kind of stuff all of the time. But even limiting to just one tier series, which is 100 fights ending with special, that's a lot to achieve for most players in a week. And if they take more than one week, will it be their fault if they run out of time doing week 3 or 4 or the October events? If so, they don't really have multiple weeks to do this.

That's fair. I'm not opposed to it under the premise that not all weeks will be that arduous. This one may take more time than next week. If it's a recurring thing, that will become problematic.
The problem is you have to finish with a special attack. Doing 100 fights is a grind itself. It makes sense if they want you to do more quests. But if I have to make sure I finish a fight with a special attack? That’s stressful. It’s not fun at all. At the very least make it a light/medium/heavy attack. Something that is easily accessible. Cause I literally throw a special and the opponent had 1% left. So now either parry/get hit till to you fill a bar of power or just kill the opponent and start over in the next fight.

No, @kabam boo, it doesn't help at all. As CanuckDownUnder and others explained, it's doesn't help when we need to finish one set to get to the next one and there is a side quest in October we need to finish all sets to get access to. And if you have read all the responds in this post, you should have known that. It's have been said before.
If this image loader works like I think it will, you can see that you only have to do ONE set of the objectives, not all of that. Kabam is smart enough to not limit an event to just the super grinders. Once you get the title at the end of you solo objective, then you don't have to do any more. If you need it any clearer, YOU DON'T HAVE TO FINISH ALL SETS. You guys are giving a lot of **** for a misunderstanding you made.

One Variation. So that means all 5 weeks of Cav Objectives, or all 5 of Uncollected etc. So you still need to do atleast the 100 6* ending with a special, then do week 3, week 4 and week 5.

I think it has a lot to do with specificity of the Cavalier challenge for this week. 6*'s only. 100 overall fights. Only KO's with specials. I get it that it's an objective but its quite specific. But there really isn't any cheese to it either which is another kicker. On top of all that, the MCOC duel profiles hardly work.

Plus you can’t duel for this objective. I think it’s quest, arena and incursions

Actually, there's a problem with that idea. If you're Cav trying to farm 6* then yeah, that's theoretically possible. If you're a player trying to farm 5* at a progression level where that's likely the highest you can go, that's a lot more problematic.
Both UC and Cav difficulty are full of 6* champs. So by my calculations there are 210 fights per tier for full exploration. 100 fights is about half of a difficulty tier. That's not easy, but that's not super difficult either. However, it can be very tricky to end every fight on a special attack. If you're fully exploring both, a reasonably attentive player should be able to do that as a matter of course. And few people can autofight through UC. But if you're only doing UC, your burden is much higher: you have to end half your fights on a special. That's a much trickier proposition, and that's not factoring in the fact that many players are likely to have completed a lot of that tier by now.
The real problem is 5*. Only the Master tier has them: Heroic has 3* and 4*, and UC is all 6* (as far as I double checked). Moreover, Master is not full of 5* champs either. The first three seem to have 4* paths and 5* bosses, while the last three maps have all 5* champs. That is, if I've added right, 129 fights of 5* champs including the boss fights.
Now we're cutting things very close. You need to end 78% of those fights on a special without slipping up, assuming you haven't completed any part of it yet. If you've done more than four paths in the last three maps (not each: combined) you're out of fights and now have to go farm them elsewhere.
These objectives are not easy to do just by playing through the monthly quest. 6* is not hard *if* you're doing both UC and Cav and *if* you haven't cleared too much of it yet. 4* is harder but doable if you explore Heroic and Master. 6* is equally hard if you're not exploring Cav. 5* is very tricky to do just by doing the monthly quest, because there's just significantly less 5* fights that exist on the maps.
If you're an arena grinder, its probably fine. But if you're trying to farm these objectives while running monthly content, that's not as easy as it might appear if you're focused on the 6* objective which is the easiest one in theory to get for high progression players that explore everything anyway. For everyone else, this is not something you can just get while playing normally. You could easily run out of fights.
@GroundedWisdom What on earth does G2099 have to do with it?
It's not about a specific champ, it's the tediousness of the actual objectives.
As @Savage123456789 points out, if you use a special to kill an opponent, and they wind up left at 1%, you're left with no power, so you've got to stand there parrying to build back your power again. Another terrible scenario is of you have a champ that inflicts a DoT as part of the special. Hype for example. Easy to gain power, but if the special 1 leaves them at 1%, the incinerate that comes with it will kill them.
It's a poorly thought out event, and I really can't find the logic in saying to use G2099.

If you're using her, finishing with a Special is a part of her playstyle. It makes it less tedious.

You're right. I was thinking it was a normal type with all those options we usually have.
We understand completely, and thank you for expressing this feedback clearly. Our team will be taking a second look and implementing some tuning to this event so to make it more enjoyable for you all. We appreciate your patience at this time. Unfortunately, the team will not be able to make any changes to the current week's objectives, but will do so for the following weeks. We apologise for the inconvenience and upset caused, and hope that the future weeks will be more pleasant. Meanwhile, please do not hesitate to continue sharing your feedback on the matter.

I’m glad to see you’ve taken feedback onboard and hope the following weeks are better designed.
It still needs to be said that you guys keep taking poor design decisions that continuously miss the mark. It really feels like you’re just not on the wavelength of your customers and player base.

While this carries onto October, that doesn't make it any better. I'm sure you've been in a situation where you've ended up with a backlog of work to do, and it piles up to the point of stressing out or leaving you feel more defeated because you know that you're still behind even when you complete a task.
This isn't a job. But this objective is making it much harder and laborious than it needs to be, and gives the same feeling as having to actually work. In a mobile game.
I understand that this objective is now in place, but I humbly ask that before you release the following weeks objectives that you look at the amount of time it would REASONABLY take to complete and adjust them accordingly.
