You guys really can’t read. Day of the Deadpool is a 7 day event with more to come. Today is just day one, and you’re already all up in Kabam’s face. Give it a break. There still may be some special events coming later this week.
It’s thanksgiving in Canada. I for one plan to enjoy my long weekend, so I will lash out now thank you very much.
Shocked. My disappointment is immeasurable. The fun is extremely quickly being sucked out of this game. I’ve been playing for 7-years and this is the worst year for issues, bugs and removal of everything the players enjoy. Sure, Kabam added some quality of life perks… fine. Battlegrounds is a money grab. Incursions no doubt will be the same. I have lost trust in Kabam to make fun content for all.
The game needs to make money (everyone understands that), but why give money to a game that is trying its hardest to remove all the elements people look forward to? Player appreciation? Not here, not Kabam.
This cash grab of an event has been poorly executed to say the least. The communication about the event was terrible as communication has been a long standing complaint within the community. Kabam always says they will communicate better, but actions speak louder than words. Step it up, Kabam. The Kabam Thrillson announcement was an embarrassment of an attempt to make light of the fact that you were changing your event to the detriment of the player base. Furthermore, as pointed out by other summoners, the announcement said you wanted to 'try something new' and there is absolutely nothing new here. Just cash offers and the ire of the player base. Neither of which is new at this point. Please, Kabam, do better. We love your game and we want to continue enjoying it. Maybe to prevent the feeling of having the rug pulled out from under us, rename an event if you plan on changing it.
I really hope that kabam will change their mind and please the players who love them and still play their game. Giving people a nexus 6* offer for gold or something like that will not be difficult and will not change the balance of the game.
You announce relics, ascension and 7 stars, which have had an overwhelmingly negative reaction. You have here a chance to make people happy, hand out a couple of 6* Nexus in exchange for Gold. Its not going to break the game, 6 stars are at the lowest value now that they've ever been. You were never going to go near R4 mats, so there was absolutely no need to put this behind a unit wall.
Doing things new Thrillson said, as we all suspected, but hoped it wasn't, it was the same tactics without benefitting all players.
You had a huge chance Kabam to make people happy, and you blew it.
it will probably get deleted or merged cause its redundant. too many posts on this already a huge merged post on the first page so why make a new one?
Did you think someone will respond to you here seperately when they didnt till now on the big post?
I think if enough people constantly post the same thing over again they will get tired of it and maue. Respond. I mean we could take your approach wait and do nothing I know that will help for sure
What would be nice, would be, going ahead and doing the gold event after getting the rewards (the gold) from the Oversaturated Market event, that way anyone that's low on gold might actually have some for the gold event.
Pasting this here since it got mothballed back to “Suggestions.” Any cuteness intended with the Kabam Thrillson comment seems much less humorous now.
Maybe something interesting pops up later today, but if this is it, then no.
Dr. Zola
Its like they thought that the cute warning wasnt going to blow up on them because they phrased it funny. Its a layup kind of event for universal praise and instead they just aggravated every single player. Even if you are willing to spend, its way better when you dont have to and can use gold instead.
One other observation: the solo event (which I would recommend grabbing exactly “1” point in for a million gold) relies on Duels, Arena and AQ with Pool champions.
Not normal questing, which could be a way to utilize extra energy and generate points for a shot at getting a little better rewards.
What I wonder is what kind of accounts will be at the top of the leaderboard for the solo event…
Dr. Zola
I didn't even realize that normal questing didn't count. I play AQ map 8. Not going to use any of my Pools there lol.
You can’t really get much from grinding in arenas this days other than gold as the scores for decent rewards are so high so the gold event last year was a nice way to get some return for the time spent. Pity it wasn’t repeated.
We have a loyalty store, glory store, incursions and battlegrounds stores all areas where you can spend the resources you have farmed in game, why do we not have a permanent one for gold if you don’t want to put on one as an annual event for the players?
Why should we keep putting or time and effort into a game that doesn’t support the f2p player base. This really has made me lose all interest in this game. Great work Kabam way to shove a huge middle finger to your players.
I have played this game since April of 2015. I have spent more money on this game then I care to count. But I have to say that it is becoming completely evident that you all have made the decision to monetize this game to the point that you don’t give two *bleeps* about your player base. Battlegrounds came out and I was so excited. Then you monetized it to the point that I have no desire to play it, then you announce relics and ascension. Both of which I am not looking forward to because I have no doubt that they will be monetized to the point of nausea. And now you take the fun and unique aspect of this event, and monetize it to death. I don’t understand your end goal. Are you trying to kill the only game that you produce that makes money. Because that’s the road your on. As for me I have one foot out the door. That saddens me greatly because this is my favorite game of all time, and the one I have played the longest by far. But if this cash grabbing philosophy continues I will have both feet out the door, and I have no doubt that I won’t be alone.
Even in the situation where they just copy pasted last year's gold deals and put them out, there would be a few jokes and comments on "outdated" offers but overall most of us would be appreciative and just roll with it and put out a few nexus opening meme posts here and there.
The playerbase/ communtiy is watching Kabam, all these monetisation driven decisions do pile up and leave a sour taste in our mouths and eventually when the taste is too hard to bear, a lot of us will let go and never return....
I don't know why some people are expecting answers... U guys think this was a bug or an accident?.. Don't u guys think they already expected all this complaints while they were planning it?...This year they have monetized every possible aspect...matter of fact.. if the Cyber Monday Unit deals dissapeared it wouldn't be surprising at all...

Yep, that’s baffling. I suppose using Masacre or Venompool in AQ *could* be plausible at some levels.
I have expiring refills and would be happy to burn them in something like RttL with the Pools I have. I will just sell them.
What I can’t understand is how this game has two full time community managers who I have no doubt regularly feedback player sentiment to their superiors and yet spending “events” like this are introduced. I feel sorry for Miike and Jax as they will be expected to come out and justify the unjustifiable and tell us that the feedback has been passed on as if it actually mattered.

Just a thought

Really frustrating
I was looking fwd to spend some gold.

Dr. Zola
I will pass on all the Deadpool offers. It is my protest.
