What would and ingame message fix?.. would players have magically beefed up rosters to take it?.. it would have made em come to the forums and complain.. the same way people are complaining without the message...
So my question is still will there be anything for those of us who powered through before the nerf to it. I know money coming back to me won’t happen and units r a bust most likely, but what about some potions and revives? I drained my stash and then some (even had to buy units) to power through. Is that likely to happen @Kabam Miike?
It's called transparency, something this company is lacking at the moment. Regardless of rewards or whatever, it's about informing your audience, your game players ,who make up your base.
My main issue with this is that the difficulty increase was not communicated, and if it was, it was done so quietly that many people didn't realize it was happening. Seems like this was an attempt to try to get in more difficult content without people noticing by hiding the changes behind some sort of rebrand. Maybe the plan was "push it through and deal with the backlash". That plan has never worked well in the past and contributes to a major reason players don't trust Kabam in the first place. Kabam promises continued transparency, then goes and does something like this. To top it off, there was no increase in rewards to the lower difficulties that got harder. This is discouraging, to say the least.
The difficulty rework was communicated in Inside the Contest, in the same place as the TB difficulty announcement.
i tend to think you might be lying here. The renaming was mentioned, but no where did you state that the difficulty would be upped 500%?

That's exactly what they did in the video. They said they would be adding Thronebreaker, and looking at how the Quests flow. Regardless, if they said it in a video, or spraypainted a banner, we'd still be having the same conversation. People want things to stay the same. Unfortunately, the game doesn't grow that way. Completing the same content I did years ago doesn't have the same challenge level as it did. People have stronger Champs at their disposal, higher Rarities, more avenues to gain material to Rank them. It's easier, and I'm perfectly fine with that. Evolution goes on. However, the content needs to grow with it to reflect the intended challenge outcome, and it also has to prepare people to grow into the next landmark. Stop and look at how many content-rushers we have now. People are literally advancing their Accounts just enough to get to Cav, TB, Paragon. That's saying something. There's a whole meat-and-potatoes section of growth that needs to take place in all of that, and if the Champs and availability are allowing that to be possible, people aren't getting it. Bottom line is, as far as I can remember, people have rejected any kind of change with this game, especially when they're not paid to change, either with Rewards or Compensation. I'm going to say something I don't usually say in such a frank manner on here, but here goes. Most people don't know what's best for them, or the game. Call that an ignorant opinion if you will, but I've seen people reject anything that needs to be done for the betterment of the game experience, and their own growth.
That's also not a personal quip so much as it is the result of seeing people argue against umpteen things on here, that we grew into and were better off for in the end.
Bit extreme, but sometimes people forget who's actually making the game and responsible for keeping it. As much as we like to have feedback, which to be honest they take in more than any other game I can think of, they're still in control. Which means not everything that's necessary is going to be received well.
I’ve sat back more than long enough. I’ve just recently gotten back to posting, or even looking at forums. Kabam said they toned down the difficulty? Yes they did. Was sooooo beyond stupid how/why they even raised it to begin with! Ppl like me that have a decent roster used to 100% UC without even looking at nodes even on 3.2, unless I lost 2 champs. Then I would read nodes. Now???? I read the nodes, bring counters and it’s still stupid. Ppl talking about (Kabam) trying to even out difficulties is garbage!! This should never be a thing, ppl that used to be able to easily do, now need to pay 100% attention, and do t get hit (good luck as broken as game has been for years with no fixes!!!) even with so called rebalancing??? Still stupid. The effort/tine it takes to do what used to be UC?? Is now dam near what Cav was. For what? 0 increase in rewards?!?! Why bother anymore if this is the way forward. EQ rewards should’ve been increased by a MINIMUM of 20-25% with difficulty the same as it has ALWAYS BEEN!!! Rewards for all should increase 10-15% minimum per year just to keep pace. Haven’t changed for like 3-4yrs as it is (was). Now u make it harder, but 0 increase in rewards??? Seriously how do u even begin to explain this ****? From last post from Kabam basically said all difficulties are the same expect T1 (normal). Used to be 1,2,3,4,5 now more like 2,2,3,4,5?!?!?!?! Complete trash! That is NOT the case to say the ABSOLUTE LEAST!!!! Past heroic is now beyond what master was, and UC is beyond unnecessary. Hundreds of posts, yet usual response. Basically “we made it 80% harder, ppl complained, so we only made it 70% harder be happy with it!”
I don't understand how Kabam doesn't see that these changes are not welcome by the big majority of players, especially newer ones who are still building their accounts and have not reached Uncollectrd or Cavalier yet. I also refuse to believe that GroundedWisdom is a real person and not a bot programmed to defend Kabam to the death.
Rewards should’ve increased by atleast 30-40% for what EQ used to be. Been like 4yrs I think since reward were increased? Beyond stupid! Does Kabam NOT realize that the more ppls roster grows, the more likely they are to attempt Act 6,7 (which will require a ton of units). That’s where they will get real money, NOT by increasing EQ! Increasing difficulty in EQ for NO reason makes most ppl NOT want to continue to play the game (especially since rewards were already outdated by 3-4yrs already). U want ppl accounts to grow so they try some of the hardest content, THAT’s WHERE U GET UR MONEY!!! Not by running ppl off the game so they do t even wanna play. On top of dozens of issues that haven’t been fixed, or even addressed for several hrs. Nobody to blame but yourselves when u keep losing money!
There's an easy solution that will get Kabam's attention, stop spending money on the game. I got the monthly sigil & regularly bought crystals because I could save up & buy things to help me progress in the game. These changes impact my ability to get the crystal shards I'd use to buy from the black iso market. I welcome new challenges like Thronebreaker difficulty being added but there was no reason to change the lower difficulty levels.
I’m PRETTY sure they have changed input controls so it keeps dropping blocks, sometimes it’s impossible to block continuously.
Yep..doesnt matter about difficulty...no matter what level, inputs will flake out to either make you lose or almost lose. You can tell when its about to happen too..i feel the new difficulties are not bad and are fun, but even winter soldier fight has the same inputs issue, so as long as the inputs issue exist, you can never be 100% in control, cuz kabam won't let you...u could NEVER have summoner showdown in this condition unless inputs issue is being controlled.

I tried Proven last night, whilst I admit to making mistakes in a couple of the fights, I got wrecked using r3 4*s in the first quest. I used to do the first two quests with r3 or maxed 3*s. I can see I'm going to have to use my 5*s going forward. This, the side quest first week and doing Contender has eaten into my l1 and l2 health pots which I normally use a few of to top up health in the monthly EQ, hoarding my higher ones for story mode. I am getting very frustrated with this. This absolute nonsense is making me seriously consider quitting playing the game after 7 years. I'm happy being a conqueror, I'm happy being able to do lower difficulty quests so I can get rewards, feel I've achieved something and HAVE FUN. This isn't feeling like FUN.
For those of you against the difficulty rework. Please try to understand that while a lot of us do love the game and wish to progress in it, we are not committed to devoting our undivided attention to it, due to work/college running simultaneously. While some of you may be gamers and love the challenge, a lot of us come here for a break/chill and vent off. If this too becomes an unnecessarily arduous task...

Ive been paying more attention to Miley Cyrus than the new music video

Yeah but never mentioned that the rework means everything will be harder . Always the rework meant that since the new difficulty release the previous ones will become easier since cavalier was getting harder to keep up with thronebreaker and paragons. That is what happen with the uncollected release and cavalier back in the day.
I only played the game for fun in the EQs. Quit alliance war and quest because of all the hassle. I waste money on the game occasionally in hope for favourite Marvel characters. But no fun to be had in EQs anymore. AI has gone nuts and it’s all stress. Those nodes in 3.2 Thronebreaker are designed to be a unit drain if they were ‘designed’ at all. I’ve been playing since 2015. Please sort it out Kabam. It’s a game about collecting Marvel characters and having fun with them; it’s not an Olympic sport.
I am so sorry to say but Kabam needs to hear it. I found myself logging in and not want to play the new content. When playing Uncollected, I feel like I am playing Cavalier and the rewards are not worth the effort. If this will be the way the content will be moving forward, probably won't play the monthly content anymore. Not because I can't do it, but because the effort does not equal the rewards.

So I did my legend run before the said tune -up?
PS- Sorry if this has been asked before!
@Kabam Jax @Kabam Miike
Question, have Kabam nerfed down the TB EQ yet???? if not, whats the time lime before they could accomplish that massive feat?
