Everyone is having different severity of issues. If yours are minor then good for you. Mine are severe.
I routinely interrupt combos without reparry. I’ve intercepted the other champ and had my hit go through his body, his go through mine, and then we both just stood there with no hits registering. At best my parry/dex issues occur 1/25 times (tested with the quake/fury synergy on aegon).
Prior to the input issue I could clear cav and higher content just fine. Once the input issues started then everything became frustrating so I dropped down to an alliance that just did map 5 and just focused on building up my roster until this stuff was fixed.
I’m not going to beat my head against the wall or waste units so I can win at a broken game. I’ll just wait until they’re fixed or I’ll quit.
But the compensation should reflect that people of all tiers have had issues and those issues have prevented people from becoming uncollected, cav, and tb.
And the compensation is there to compensate us for our losses and lack of ability to achieve during that period.
There’s no way that’s all it is for fights like Kang that require dexes and parries at specific times
The compensation is supposed to make up for your troubles over the last year + of the issues. It’s supposed to bring you up to speed for time lost and make amends.
People on Android had far fewer issues than those on iOS.
Why compensate thronebreakers on Android who had no problems more than a cav player on iOS whose game was almost unplayable?
All I’m saying is what title you’ve unlocked shouldnt be the sole measure of what compensation you get.
It’s more complicated and more nuanced than that. I hope the actual compensation reflects that.
The bugs have been terrible at times, other times they are just bad. Other times I couldn’t tell if it was my skill or the bugs that caused me to die (I want to say it’s the bugs of course)
So how did I manage so much content? I spent some money on deals, auto farmed a lot of revives when I wasn’t exploring. I spent some units and I banged my head in frustration a lot (maybe there’s new brain damage there, that’s why the bugs seem worse). I also know some players have had it worse than me, other players have barely been affected so I’m not saying that you could have progressed because I did.
The input system bugs have not universally affected everyone, so we need to stop belittling those that haven’t gone as far. It’s not any players’ fault they have been hampered by the bugs. The speed of some player’s progress isn’t affected. Others have been severely hampered.
Some people I have no doubt are using the bugs excuse, crying foul that they would have progressed if it wasn’t for the bugs (it’s human nature to seize upon excuses, I have to catch myself sometimes when it is clearly my own fault, although sometimes it is ambiguous). But not everyone is doing this, so we also need to stop treating everyone like they are, and if it is you making excuses, just start walking it back- you’re giving the player base a bad name.
Unfortunately there can’t be one form of compensation that when compared to others will make everyone happy, because unfortunately the only fair solution would be to wind the clock back and not have the bugs to begin with.
The compo will probably be progression based as you can’t measure the “What if’s?” Will this be fair? No, but bracketing tiers of progression levels won’t be fair either.
The only other way of applying a fair compensation scheme would be to measure your activity, clearance rate, item use and progression rate before and during the bugs, apply a complex algorithm and throw in some observation of your play, so that way they have a subjective and objective view of how it has affected you, then apply a given compensation formula. Unfortunately that’s not happening, so we should be happy with it being in the realm of fair.

Why not focus on account size, pi, and prestige for comp instead of if someone achieved some arbitrary distinction.
People have this habit of saying that if you’re cav or uc or tb or paragon that you’ve accomplished something spectacular. But you can just throw units and high ranked champs at it and get the same result.
Don’t conflate a title for skill or accomplishment, nor vice versa. They’re related but they’re not the same.
This is especially true when the game for many of us is unplayable.
But this is all academic anyways. Kabam is gonna do whatever they want regarding comp and there’s nothing we can say that will really matter at all.
But to answer Lotus’s question, yes generally speaking the input issues hit iOS users more significantly. That doesn’t mean everyone on iOS had a problem and it doesn’t mean no one on android had a problem. Just that overall iOS users had it worse more often by a fair amount.

It is a sense of accomplishment, in game, to progress to the next title, though I imagine it is more of a feat for those who use few items vs those who strong arm it.
Yes, you can just throw units to muscle through the game, but you can also throw money to increase your roster, prestige, and PI without even playing the game much, so why would Kabam compensate based on this. At least progression titles, especially for TB+, require ranked up champs and thus a minimum, along with roster depth, etc.
In the end, this argument is pointless. Kabam will most definitely separate TB and cav compensation, as they should. The onpy real question is rather or not Paragon will be separated from TB.
