To clarify, when we say we want to "give breathing room" between major releases, it's not giving summoners time between modes. It's to enable the game team to give their full attention to each game mode and to problem solve any major issues that creep up.
As we've stated before, releasing multiple major pieces of content at the same time can cause instability in the build and we want to make sure both game modes release without major problems.
This should have been known way earlier then Jax. This ain't good enough. So many resources will go to waste for a lot of people
Prepping for content is not hoarding. Especially for content that was announced with a specific date. It takes a lot of time and effort to farm out items for planned content runs. Plus, many of us bought the CAV exploration bundle which is essentially going to be lost now too. This is a horrible change, that is completely unnecessary. It benefits absolutely no one and hurts MANY. Anyone who felt overwhelmed could easily just wait to do the story content later. Everyone who planned, farmed and prepped for the date provided basically wasted all of their time, effort, units and now going to lose those resources too. Not fun - not cool. Please launch 8.1 as it was announced and let the overwhelmed people schedule to tackle it when they are ready to since it's end game content and has no requirement to start immediately.

How about adding a week to all consumables in stash for the grinders? I don’t know the technicalities of this compensation though haha

but if you knew why did you plan the two new events so close?
So i guess i just wasted 1000 units on the cav offer and a lot of time to grind 3.2.6,just to see my resources expiring? there is a post in the forum of many people who were preparing for 8.1, all of whom will probably have their resources expire as well.
Thanks Kabam. you really know how to make your customers happy with your great decisions🤦♂️
I bought the eq deal for this reason. Bye bye to a big chunck of my 1k units. Terrible move. Especially because they say it is to give breathing room. We all know it is because they do not have their stuff together and are expecting the game to crash because of the battlegrounds and a lot maintenance. Incompetence is a special kind of skill.

Well this sucks. I've just wasted a lot of time farming health potions.
Lame decision, Kabam. How about extending our potion inventory a week so they don't expire?
Okay, we need to set something straight here. There's been some mistakes in communication so I want to clarify:
The date change for Act 8.1 happened MONTHS ago. This was not a recent decision, so the content is not ready to go out at this time, and was not meant to.
The Script for Inside the Contest was incorrect and based on old information. It was definitely our fault for not catching it, but we are not able to change the date this quickly. We didn't realise the date was wrong until we started seeing the information floating around the Community, which was waaaaay later than we would have liked to.
The conversation about expiring items is a legitimate one, but the conversation about 8.1 vs Battlegrounds is not. We aren't going to take BGs down, and we unfortunately can't move to get 8.1 up with such short notice.
Jax has posted info above for those that purchased Unit offers, and we will have discussions for those that had resources from other areas as well.
Got the 3k cav completion deal in anticipation of completing the gauntlet this past weekend and to stockpile for 8.1. Gauntlet got removed, now 8.1 is delayed. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.
BGs has already been released. I doubt pushing it back is an option at this point.
I doubt that you know what's actually possible, or not. Kabam didn't seem to have any issue turning off Gauntlet. Will Kabam - probably not. Could they - yes.

What are your plans for anybody that spent time gathering resources from areas other than purchasing those unit deals?
I'm sure I am one of many that planned on a specific date. I have 0 revives or potions expiring before Wed the 14th, but around 30 revives and countless potions expiring before the 21st. Just another let down.

Wait. So it was known that 8.1 would release on the 21st rather than the 14th months ago, and nothing was said? That’s irresponsible

@Kabam Miike Is it realistic to request a week be added to everyone’s expiring consumables/items. Can that be done? It would be great if that would be technically possible. Thanks
2 questions: First, how will refunds work, if at all, for those that purchased the deal with the crystals as well?
Second, obviously a bunch of us bought the deal with upcoming content in mind, and we would all likely still want to use these items to clear said content. Will there be any way to access the deal again when the content actually arrives? Or are we just out of luck because yet another obvious oversight slipped through the cracks?

All these items and no content to use them on.. grinded 100’s of energy worth of refills all for it to now go to waste. Something has to be done.
people that bought unit deals
Sarcasm. Kabam is in the wrong here
