I think this will just push more people to mod the game. This is a massively short sighted move. It may generate a little extra income from whales who’ll really go all out pay to win, but my guess will be it will drive people away from the game in droves. Absolutely idiotic move and tone deaf timing given broken state of the game there is literally a pinned post outlining the state of broken inputs. But it’s ok, the game is broke, you’ll randomly die as you can’t time your dex/parry’s/combos correctly but its ok, because you can get a revive a day and Kabam and you buy the rest. If the devs are reading this, please don’t be surprised that Summoners don’t take you as seriously as you’d like them to (especially after making decisions like these).

Let’s be honest, the only reason people did Carina’s Vol 3 is because of the r5 gem. You act like most Summoners do this content for fun (we don’t). On top of that, you’ve set the parameters for Vol 3 in such a way that we’re FORCED to use items because we can’t use IDEAL matchups.

So when we’re forced to take non ideal fights, we compensate it by farming items to make sure we’re not stuck MID QUEST.

if you don’t like the way Summoners are approaching content, then maybe you should consider looking at yourselves and wonder how YOU should create content. Don’t blame us for the choices you made in creating this. You shoot yourselves in the foot when creating overpowered champions, then take the blame out on us.

To many people, this will seem like a Cash Grab. To many, what you’re saying is “We don’t see many summoners buying units for this content, so we’d like to change that”.

Another pro player/ benefit taken away! It had to happen some day… Kabam are just pissed about a feature that benefits the players, and not Kabam! So many player benefit elements in this game have been removed over the years, but yet cheating/ modding, game control/ input issues, game freezing and loss of items, bugs galore that have existed for years before being fixed, or still ongoing and not fixed … are all still outstanding issues with this game. A lvl 1 revive how does that help with end game content. This company is silly and a lvl 1 potion when champs now have nearly 100k health should be lvl 6 potions

This should have been done a long time ago honestly. They can't reasonably expect anyone to complete some of the harder pieces of content with only 15 revives and 25 lvl 1 potions on the inventory.

They've used this tactic several times in the past and it works tbh. Players are in a toxic relationship w the game and anything that makes it seem better or gives players a small win is good enough for many people. Esp when they spend an ample amount of time excusing the toxicity already.

Personally I make a passage everywhere on the quests of the month and the last difficulty at 100% then I will look for energies because there is TOO much spent and I use a lot in batttleground

I’m sorry but this is absolutely shambolic.

Not only do we have an unstable game with inconsistent inputs and bugs galore, we now have vastly reduced access to critical items at a time when we need them the most.

Dude, you hit the nail on the head there. The problem in their view appears to clearly not be that we may have to spam revives to clear hard content (in conjunction with bugs and controls/animation issues), just that they aren't getting the units it would take to complete it.

The only thing being trivialized in their post is the value they place on our bank accounts and paychecks.

Lots of top alliances use them and steal rewards. But revive farming is the problem.

Maybe focus on the cheating first to actually help the community out.

You realise that in the post they do say we will get 1 revives per day right? From exploring the hard quest. So that is a guarantee

Inventory limits need to be removed to even make this remotely player friendly, even then being able to stack 30 revives a month is still a big nerf to revive farming – and still an incentive to spend units, which is what this is thinly veiled as.

I am stunned. I cannot believe there is someone working at Kabam that thought this was a good idea and I cannot believe that their superior gave it the green light. This is an incredible anti-player move and is an all around absolute joke. The “Apothecary” adds absolutely no replacement value. It doesn’t have to be a 1-for-1 replacement, but my goodness is it bad. Be more upfront and honest and just tell us you’re removing revive spawns. It’d be a more aggressive approach, but at least it would be an honest approach to your intentions. This is an incredibly disappointing day in MCoC. Gonna take units out of arenas next so we have to buy them all?

Increase level 1 pot stash so that we can save more from daily and solo objectives. That is the issue. They expire as we wait for content to use it on.

It’s a psychological technique akin to door in face. They provide an option that is so utterly outrageous that the community unanimously rejects it. When they come back with a better version we comply and accept it because it’s better than the first option but they get what they always wanted. They know we will react negatively to this announcement. They must know. They’ll already have there “ok, community, we’ve listened to feedback and made these pro player changes” post already lined up.

Dear whoever it is that is in charge of read the communities though and inputs about the game changes. Even tho many players understand why kabam wants to put a stop to this unlimited revives farming as it does hurts their monetization of the game. I will like to know where or how are you guys going to make this right for the ppl that haven't had the time to farm revives to do the hard content like the carina challenges when so many ppl have use this method to get the big rewards all the new r5s that weren't from the gifting event. You guys are pretty much stating that from now on if you want to get those types of content done you'll have to strictly use units or money to the ppl that doesn't grin arenas. I and many others will like to know how are you guys planning on making this fair to the community. Once again I understand the why you want to change this but this is 2 years too late. Trying to monetize this will cost you way more than what you guys are not making from ppl farming the revives. I'm pretty sure we will be dealing with a similar situation as what happened in 12.0 patch. I actually don't think there's a compensation big enough to make up for this unless you guys are willing to give a r5 crystals to the rest of us that haven't had the chance to farm for this.

This actually makes me so pissed. Let’s evaluate where we are right now:

- modders are destroying the competitive integrity of most modes in the game

- BG’s has some crippling design issues that leave a large chunk of of the player base frustrated and unable to progress

- persistent input issues for over a year make the game inconsistent, unreliable and sometimes unplayable

- almost all new content is released with multiple and major bugs

And what have Kabam done?

- given us ambiguous feedback on how they addressed modders whilst not giving anyone their rightful rewards and tried to sweep an entire season under the carpet.

- provided a huge post which can be basically summarised as ‘we know there’s problems, we’re 5 seasons in, but we have nothing for you yet’

- stopped the monthly compensation even though input issues have gotten to arguably their worst point ever

- they’ve now removed the one reliable source we had to farm revives we needed to combat the plethora of gameplay issues in the game

This is staggering, and motivated by greed. Shame on you Kabam
