@BeroMan sounds like you're upsetting yourself over a ton of "maybe"
I would suggest saving the outrage at least until there's some official response or confirmation. This kind of speculation is not productive.
That's why asked questions and tagged the official person but as often happens people who don't have any idea what they are talking about had to answer instead.
Not a mod and not sure if these still holds and I thought it was easier to pm the mod rather than post here and tag the mod.
@winterthur Yes that's the official reason but as I mentioned already my country does not have any law or rule that restricts this kind of things in any way whatsoever. And I know that exactly. So even though it can be true for some countries it does not apply to my country.
@Kabam Miike I already won Battlegrounds Season 2 times and my country does not have any restrictive rules on contests or competitions whatsoever, but somehow it is not included in the eligible countries. Seems quite discriminative and unjust. Unfairly differentiating and excluding players based on origin from a company that is supposedly trying to promote diversity, tolerance, and inclusivity looks like quite a double standard.
Not everything is about you mate. Stop being so salty and hope that maybe next year Kabam accommodate more countries that includes yours. And didn't you mention that you won't reveal your identity? So even if your country was eligible, I doubt they would have let you participate since you don't want to show your face.
Regardless If I participate or not it does not seem right to be excluded automatically based on biased grounds. Also, I tagged the official person to get an official answer, not sure why some people feel the need to answer instead.
Why are you making it a case of bias? He literally said that it's the first time they're doing something like this and they'll look to expand. It's unfortunate that your country isn't eligible. There must be some criteria that doesn't permit your country and the many others from being eligible.
This is not the first time though, previous "Summoner Showdowns" also had the same eligibility criteria based on certain countries... So you don't know what are you talking about but still saying: "There must be some criteria"...Maybe there are no criteria and they just did not include certain countries for no obvious reason?! Anyway, I am asking about it and waiting for them to answer. Obviously, your unfounded and aggressive opinions are not very helpful.
First of all this isn't your YouTube community post where you can delete comments and let your fanboys praise your rants.
There may not be Regulatory Prohibitions for why all other countries are not included. But there may indeed be Regulatory *Requirements* that would be needed. That may require Legal time to draft “compliance statements”, etc, as well as regulatory fees, or other similar types of Time, Legal, and Money issues.
And now multiply that “cost” by hundreds of more countries, all with different regulations, paperwork, costs, etc.
So I’d assume they are making it available to the 30 largest (or “most players by”) counties, that would be allowed to permit this (excluding other issues such as war, civil unrest, etc)
And it's not just in certain regions of the world. Some of those NOT included are Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia, other former eastern bloc countries that may even be part of Euro or Nato (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, etc), some even in the middle of Europe (Switzerland, Italy, and of course very tiny ones like Lichtenstein and Luxembourg, etc), some in South or Central America (Ecuador, Paraguay, Nicaragua).

Yep, they are just disregarding small countries or countries that have a small player base. I wrote this as well on my channel: "Even though I don't know for a fact I have an idea how Kabam chooses eligible countries for the BG tournament. First, they identify the biggest countries in terms of player base and money spending. Then they check some basic rules of these countries if there is something that prevents their participation. They exclude some countries in this process like China probably, Russia (for obvious reasons), maybe Turkey (because of restrictive legislation on Gambling and stuff), and some others. But they certainly don't check every country in the world simply because they don't care about small countries or countries that don't have a big player base. Maybe they don't even have the resources to do that. Do you think, for example, one of the world's most developed and free countries like Liechtenstein or Luxembourg has some weird legislation? Or some EU member state like Slovenia, Estonia or Croatia? Of course not, they just don't care about those countries, same goes for my country.
I pretty much can understand that but then they are saying a false argument for those countries that the problem is legislation, while in reality, it's just their lack of interest. So don't lie and don't throw to some extent degrading justifications, just say the truth, that's all".
@Viper18 lol that YouTube channel makes more than you ever earn barking in this forums...also @SlayerOfGods ....i don't think its is official...but if it's actually him...i am very much upset that this reply came out of his mouth...he should not have intervened in this matter...

The whole "Regulatory Prohibitions and Requirements" excuse is BS. Half of Europe is excluded, many from the first EU group, that have exactly the same laws and requirements for international contests, especially since it s not them, we, that organize this, the foreign company just pays for a trip. -Btw a hotel is not mentioned anywhere.- They just copy-pasted the list from former contests. I m 99% sure it s EXACTLY the same. Without Russia maybe and Korea.
This is all very impressive, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t affect the playing/game experience of 99.99% of the playerbase.
I hope the gathering is a success and it might be fun to watch, but it’s hard to look at all of this and be happy. It’s an enormous undertaking that people have worked hard to put together, but I’m here with no story content, no war, no Everest content, no Carina, no boss rush/celebrity challenge, and stale in-game currencies that haven’t been updated in roughly 8 and 10 months (glory and loyalty).
And I know these are different jobs for people in the Kabam umbrella, but as someone who saved 20,000 units for July 4 and spent some money (nothing crazy) it’s challenging to look around and know what my place is in this game.

Buddy, this is the MCOC forums. I'm absolutely free to comment whatever and wherever I want, within the rules. I haven't insulted or degraded anyone - I've simply urged caution. There has been no absolute blanket confirmation as to Kabam's reasonings with every single country's exclusion, so I think that making bold assumptions, accusations and inciting anger and negativity is extremely irresponsible.
If you think that all somehow reflects negatively on me, then I honestly don't know what to tell you.
Either way, there's no need to make things so personal here. Relax.
Some of these comments actually make me LOL. Players will find any reason to get outraged.
Why would there be a conspiracy to exclude certain players or certain countries? Kabam is a for-profit company. The more players the better. They just need to obey commercial law in each country, so there needs to be a legal opinion done for each country, which each takes time & money. ie. there needs to be an ROI.
Even in US and Canada, different states and provinces have different rules. And some countries are just easier stay compliant with than others eg. Singapore is tiny but very international business friendly.
Logically as a company, Kabam will first focus on the most valuable player bases and least bureaucratic countries. This isn’t the United Nations, it’s just supply and demand economics.
Spoiler alert: Lawyers don’t work for free. So if anyone is upset about this, just pay for your own lawyer to provide Kabam with the legal documents to include your country.

Well said but you have used facts, logic, and common sense. Those are not a respected basis for posts on this forum. Your fanboys much prefer if your ego convinces you it's a big conspiracy and kabaam would rather lose money and purposely exclude your country just so you can't participate.

Not sure why are you even interested in a conversation about BG Tournament, certainly is not affecting you in any way possible for obvious reasons.
Why do you always seem so compelled to be incredibly nasty to anyone who challenges you? You reek of insecurity.

Wow, your skills in psychoanalyzing seem equally strong as in MCOC...
Wait I'm confused, what's the whole point of this nonsense. He literally said that he doesn't want to reveal his identity and that wouldn't work in an inperson tournament. So who is he fighting for? His ego?

Ireland is listed and we are a small country with 5m people. I can't imagine playerbase is big either. Same with New Zealand.

@SlayerOfGods I advise you to watch your tongue and don't call people irresponsible. I did not ask you anything and certainly did not expect any answer from you. Not sure why are you even interested in a conversation about BG Tournament, certainly is not affecting you in any way possible for obvious reasons.
Getting my popcorn, gimme a minute...
i can really laugh hard, reading this. Acting like this, and then be surprised why 99% of the community dislikes Bero and his 'cool guy' attitude. Next time you don't get invited for a BG tourney, think about your attitude, instead of people thinking you are 'too good'.
I understand that the list of countries that can take part is not huge, but this is our first year running a tournament like this. It might seem similar to other years, but it is very different.
We want to be able to include as many countries as possible, but that's a lot easier said than done. We hope that we can expand that list in the future, however, this is not the place (nor am I the right person) to discuss anything to do with the legal requirements of each country in the world.
