I run a very chilled G1 alliance. The majority of the group has been together for a long time - a dozen of us for years, and I don't mean 2 or 3... I mean 6 years!! Daily!!! It's actually crazy to think.
Because we pace ourselves where Team Modes are concerned, we manage to get over the game's issues and slow down the burnouts.
But AW is killing us! I'm not exagerating. I don't understand how kbm can be so out of touch and drive people away who are so loyal (and who spend a fair bit!) .
It's so frustrating because these players love this game. And they love our alliance.
We only do AW for fun, but that is long gone from the mode. We hung on thru the last ****, but this?? This is too much. Lots of people are gonna give up.
We're all bracing ourselves for their announcement but not feeling positive at all.
At this point being an active mcoc player (that is not the allmighty and beloved 1%) is like being in a relationship where the other half has totally switched off. They don't love you anymore and you know it. You see it every day and more and more they prove it to you. Till that day where we finally gather up our things and leave for good. And I'm afraid that is here for many of us.
They've had a similar defensive tactic with "Stubborn" but at least tactic attackers could prevent stacks of indestructible by building stacks of destructible charges with well-timed blocks. Wonder how the changes will affect things moving forward
So I know Kabam seems to not like answering this question, but how was this tested before and not seen as a massive issue? I know everyone jokes that the public are the beta testers for everything, but it can't be true that the designers just theorize node combinations and roll it out to us to see if they work? There has to be some rounds of extensive testing right?

No? That's expensive. Not even battleground metas are tested
It seems like well timed blocks will remove indestructible even without attack tactics. That is great...but is it intended? I do not see that in the announcement.
Good changes, however, Season still start next week? This is horrible
I said this too early, it's slightly better but not much, still painful, baiting one SP can easily give the definer 7 indestructible, after getting rid of those indestructible by hitting blocks, defender can get almost another bar of power
It's a huge step in the right direction but it for sure needs some tweaks still. At least there isn't downright impossible fights now.
I am skeptical again after having a war against an alliance with 40+ global defenders, it's too easy for defender to get 7 indestructible, too slow for attacker to remove all of them.
Last season, the most important skill is dex when rooted, now the most important thing is no-dex.
The "solutions" presented by Kabam are truly a joke. The minimum I would have expected was the passive indestructible not to stack. The smaller timer will hardly make any difference and most importantly fails to address the biggest issue with the current tactic: it forces you to use tactic attackers to clear the map.
And as very correctly pointed above, adding 4 new tactic attackers to the pool is a practical joke, since 2 of those champions are so new, that the vast majority of the player base do not have them at a usable rarity.
The wat tactics begun as a tool to help us get around nodes and defenders (and it their use was totally optional), evolved to harder ones that offered a very considerable advantage to the attacker (still remaining totally optional, though) and we have now reached the point where they are compulsory. And the players are forced, every 2 months, to acquire and rank up the pool of champions that Kabam presents us with.
That is the real issue and Kabam seem to be sticking to their guns. And we have to adjust accordingly. We will do so, but I very much doubt that it will be to the direction that Kabam intended us to move on...
Light hit into blocks to build up prowess this removing indestructible is gonna be a huge change
When i read the changes my first thoughts were, how often we’ll be parried by the ai instead.
So far, one parry in 4 fights. I hit into Zemo’s (solidly held) block, got parried and clattered. Fully expect this type of interaction to happen frequently throughout the season.
Forgot to add, 2 tactic defenders in the first 4 fights so although it’s clearly a tiny sample size. 50% of my tactic fights, I’ve been parried by ai when trying to remove indestructible.
I'm stuck at a KM hazard shift Incinerate/poison what exactly am I supposed to do here? Ffs dumbass node
Why can’t you use colossus, iceman, sunspot, havok, bishop, toad, Emma, bwcv, dragon man, or void? I used sunspot against aarkus in path 9.
Yes, there are so many solutions, the tactics update is great because today two master alliances have another 300 deaths war, I love it, we can continue AW in 1-loyalty mode!

Unfortunately we were spot on about them not pushing the season back. God forbid. MUH TIMELINE
I don’t understand why you must hit the block with lights instead of medium. It open the risk to be reparry especially if you run like me werewolf by night.
I just cleared hazard shift ascended Zemo, r2 Aarkus, r2 Adam Warlock with the global and an r3 imiw, I didn't struggle too much with iceman namor and absman.
Like I said, it's a step in the right direction but still needs work. Would you all rather it stay as it was?

This is a step in the right direction? Yes Is this much better? No
If ban list like: Sunspot, Iceman, Shala. 20% of nodes will still be nightmare.
This is today's war, you can see both are T1, I'm pretty sure both of us will be above 300

Disagree. There are other champs that will cover up some of the pain points.

Nevermind. That was always there.

If it’s stacking 7 times there’s a bug perhaps?
