Silk is a sneaky serpent counter. Can dex his sp2. This is in gc without the attack bonus.
Btw don't let this thread die before it reaches 1000 comments.
This is part of what’s such a shame imo. Silk could actually be a decent backup counter if serpent wasn’t such a tanky mf. If she could do that in 60s she’d be fine but 88 is rough. I feel like we’d find other potential backup/soft counters too if some of his mechanics weren’t so excessive. Like maybe pig would work decently if serpent’s instant burst resistance wasn’t so high, etc.
Rintrah would be very good too if there wasn't all that crit penetration reduction.
I imagine there’s quite a few champs who would work if not for one singular mechanic of serpent’s. He has everything lmao
But you don’t understand. All you need is skill is counter his 21 odd defensive threats and stats.

Meme thread and champion suggestion thread is also like that currently lol
Another batch of monthly heroes released yet no Serpent counter, Shahtra damage in videos is too miniscule outside of her sp2, considering her sp2 isn't that impressive at all.
To me it's feeling like new 7* champs are hitting like 6* champs damage, But what's funny is that old 6* heroes which are being introduced as 7* are easily outdamaging new 7*
6* Juggs, Hulk, Titania, silk, Chavez, Domino, Wiccan, ham, storm, Wong, Guardian, WeaponX, Captain Marvel, Venom were all falling off but the moment they got released, they took the 7* damage scene in shock, Juggs to this day as 7r3 is jaw dropping.
But that very same shock effect is missing when it comes to release of newly created 7* heroes, like it feels like Kabam is just too scared to give damage to new heroes because wtf is sable and how did Ironheart went with no damage bump? It's hilarious.
Shahtra is prime example of this, Leader as well, Ironheart, NegaSo, Deathless vision, destroyer? Patriot?! these are just so bad, where's the damage man? What's happening?
Almost like Kabam is deliberately making sure no new 7* attackers reach, "OMG LOOK AT THE DAMAGE" potential.
But also making defenders which is #1 banned hero in BG with highest win avg and going like, "mmmm yeah, ain't nothing wrong here because we have data."
Agree with you entirely on the damage potential of the 2024 class. The other thing I think that’s noteworthy is the complexity required to access any champs with damage potential seems much higher. So even the ones that do have damage it’s very much so a “do this” then “do that” and here’s a small window of damage. With White Tiger being a standout in simplicity.
Count Chocula was sold as being more straight forward and general but my experience is he’s been more niche and complicated to access that damage. And then I’m finding it almost impossible to get energy vulnerabilities because the added evade animation is making it impossible to punish a special after triggering it, so his damage is more decent than it is great. And again he’s a lackluster Serpent counter because he’s capped on how he can handle the power gain, and then his damage potential is capped because he’s unable to land the evade and punish anyways.
Seeing the next set of nodes all I saw was more super charging of Serpent (with the crit me meta being finally a chance for a reprieve). Gonna be even more interactive fun.
At this point I’d settle for 6star Magik to actually get another potential counter in the game. No way she’s more broken than Serpent

Aha! You made the classic mistake of thinking that xyz champ would counter serpent without realizing that serpent defensive ability #479 would prevent that champ. Serpent is power lock immune so magik won’t do much of anything.

Ugh the folly!?! I only memorized abilities 1 through 469… yes I’m that childish

Are these screenshots from the previous season (20)?
