The problem with the IW fight is WHEN the forcefield is absorbing damage. The point of giving us huge health pool fights is that they also give us huge attack bonuses so that we can get those heath pools down. With IW, this is NOT working as intended. The shield absorbs 90% of the damage that should be dealt. For ease of math, lets say a medium crit with spider ham (who I was using) should do 100,000 damage without the shield present (actual number about 92k so not far off). The red numbers that Ham gets as a benefit to help take down these health pools increases that by ~250% meaning the red damage without the shield is another 250,000 damage, giving a total of 350,000 damage.
Here's where the math starts getting messed up in the order of operations. The shield absorbs 90% of the damage given. In a perfect scenario, the shield should absorb 315,000 damage and we would see 10,000 yellow crit and 25,000 red damage. What is actually happening is that the shield absorbs the crit, reducing it down to a 10,000 yellow number. The red damage is then calculated based on this 10,000, not the 100,000 damage that was actually dealt so the full red damage is now only 25,000 (not 250,000). Of that 25,000 the shield absorbs 90% so 22,500 goes to the shield and you see a 2,500 red number on the screen.
How the math breaks down then is: Shield absorbs 90,000 from the crit and only 22,500 from the red damage for a total of 112,500. The shield strength is set at 2% of IW health from what we're told. In my alliance her health is 195M so the shield is 3.9M. It's taking over 110 hits and 2:10 seconds just to break through the shield and be able to take advantage of the big damage. If the red damage was just calculated on the front end of the hit rather than off of the reduced damage, I would be able to break down the shield 3-4 times instead of only 1.
Kabam please either swap out IW or fix when the red damage is applied. It makes zero sense to give us a whole category of champs that just can't do a fight.
I've had two fights with a r3 morbius where I've done the max, but I've also had 3 fights where I've done like 4-8% it's just not fun, and if AI decides to block with shield down it just eats your chance at hitting the limit or close to it. No fight should ever be "slog away to lower the shield over the course of 60 seconds only to see 50% of your shield down time eaten away by a IW sp1 or her just blocking.

Nobody doubts you. But if prowler starts doing 4 hits on block and doesn’t hit you with heavy, you keep taking chip damage. And takes a long time to get that vigilance buff up
This is just going to kill raids cause it's going to be impossible to find 30 people who want to pay a steep price to suffer this bs. Maybe they want to kill this game mode? Sure seems like it.

Not saying it doesn't. Im just sharing what I was told. I haven't tried it as our team is not progressing through IW. I wish i could help but I can't. All I can say is this raid is dumb.
The shield is down and the damage is happening during the fight but not recording Are you telling me that in 136 hits i only done 5700 damage? Bare in mind, no miss, and with charges and role charges build up. As usual, everything is fine in Kabam's pov and fight is as intended. Lot of bullcrap

My prowler experience has been getting 20% double mediums to the block while trying to get my charges
This is completely ridiculous and unfair. Of course it is not bugged just tuned awfully… honestly it’s pure incompetence which is right on par with what’s been happening in this game lately…
Well clearly they didn’t test the fight once… or did the math that randomly reducing the shield from 10% to 2% is just not enough when this boss has 132 million health… So no testing and no math skills… but hey this time we could actually move on the map!!
LOL! I just timed out taking zero damage and not even registering 1% damage against Invisible Woman. Granted I was fighting first with no charges but still. This is some real BS. Great work @kabam !!

Since you need to remove her shield before noticing any meaningful damage, it’s going to seem like you may not be doing anything to her. Once you build charges with your teammates, the shield goes down a LOT faster - and you’ll see the giant numbers that you’re used to.
That being said, these fights are open to tuning & balancing, so it certainly might be changed based off of feedback - but as of now, the fight is not “bugged” and the shield is reduced.

Nah, this **** is stupid. even with a 2% shield (2.5million hp shield), that shield that essentially activates 3 times during a fight that adds on another 7.5million hp with only doing 3-8% a fight, that adds on an extra (97.5-247.5Million HP) to the boss. With a response from mods saying, "well my battlegroup did just fine". Essentially if you don't pick characters to cheese this, you're forced to slowly chip away 3-8% with other champs on a champ with a health pool around 200-350 million.

Yes , but we already knew that the fight can be done , the problem is the amount of champs that just don't work and how many players have the best counters for her , in a game mode that requires team work that's a bad fight design giving the amount of champions that can deal with her shield fast .

As seen in this thread alone, players will sometimes have very different experiences with the same fight. For example, my Battlegroup had zero issues with her and mowed right through with revives to spare - yet another Battlegroup in my same Alliance has been struggling hard.
Regardless of my own experience, I already brought the situation to the team and voiced the negative experience of the fight many have faced.
I’m not in charge of the tuning of the fight, so I can’t sit here and tell you what will happen in the future, especially at 2am on a Monday... but we want you to have fun playing our game - that’s a top priority for us.
Appreciate the insight and responsiveness. When you’re talking with the game team, it would be helpful to pass along the general takeaway here — most of the champs available for Raids are actually garbage for Raids, even some of the usual monster damage dealers like Silk.
Personally I’ve had a good run using IM, but if 2/3 (or more) of the available champs are actually terrible for a given fight that’s a design problem in and of itself.
