I will wait for reaction of Kabam, i ranked her to r5, if the nerf came after update with no solution there is only one possibility.
Stop spending on game. They wanted money from champion, we refuse to give them money....
I am sure that it has always been a bug, because if we look deep down into our souls, we know champs are not supposed to chain heavies into their combos, however I do feel that some of the bugfixing happens on an opportunistic basis. Like AA passive stun, Drax animations and now SheHulk.
This opens up a whole another can of worms.
It's the developers job, their literal JOB to know what's happening in their game. Specially when something is common knowledge throughout the player base for years.
Them saying, omg, we didn't know about that for years, honestly sounds really careless for them.
To not be able to “read the room” and comprehend how much this would affect people’s decisions on the champion after all the content and threads produced since her buff is quite frankly disgraceful and smacks of incompetence. It’s YOUR mistake and the situation is caused by YOUR inaction. Do the right thing, don’t punish people because others are inept at their jobs.
Precisely what does that mean @Kabam Porthos ?
Miike confirmed to me personally in a thread that the Devs Notes are not reliable and constitute “editorializing.” Which means Devs Notes are just puffery, BS, chaff—call it what you will. But certainly not “Stated Abilities.” https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/854963#Comment_854963
What about mod pronouncements? I seem
to recall issues with mod statements around the abilities of certain champs used to counter Mordo that were later reinterpreted. Do mod statements on forums amend the “Stated Abilities”?
One might reasonably conclude that “Stated Abilities” are the things specifically written in a champ’s data sheet—except for the recent case of SymSup, whose “Stated Abilities” were never what players experienced in game (and still aren’t).
But Magik and Doc Ock users might get a little nervous with the way “Stated Abilities” is thrown around here because there’s nothing in their “Stated Abilities” that specifically provides for their ability to keep a champ power locked against the wall via repetitive actions (kind of like Shulk taunt+combo+heavy). Does the long-standing community use of a champ’s mechanics make that use part of “Stated Abilities”?
When content creators sanctioned by MCOC use champ abilities in specific ways, does that also confer sanction on those abilities as “Stated Abilities”?
So where do players find these “Stated Abilities”? When they have been changed or reinterpreted, where is that noticed to the player base? Are we literally talking about only the specific words written in a champ data sheet and nothing, not a whit, more?
Please share. This isn’t a trap post, but rather one that seeks to answer a simple question: what exactly can we rely on in this game?
