Comments
As an avid collector of Champions even at it lowest rarity, where's 4* Kang and 4* Thanos? Are they going to make it to the basic pool like 4* Vision? 👀
However, seeing these rewards and knowing there are some goodies in store for my alts, I’m excited to be able to pick out 1 or 2 lucky RNG accounts to continue playing when my main hits content walls.
This is a great sendoff to the traditional gifting event and, imo, a way better event than before.
Thanks Kabam for not pulling the plug on us alt grinders.
1. I have always defended Kabam and leaning towards spenders win. I get that it’s a business and they have to make money. This is too much. Anyone that looks at these rewards and feel excited need serious help. Unless you drop $10k plus, you’re not getting the top rewards. I hope you all realize this.
2. Battlegrounds is the best game mode right now. I spend a little, sure, but I still feel that I have a fighting chance to get into the top 100 or so. These rewards are going to make it nearly impossible for those of us that are still growing our rosters in hopes of competing without spending an INSANE amount of money. These rewards take all the chance of the majority of players being able to compete. If it was still skill matters like it does now, fine. The next 3 seasons of battlegrounds will be dominated by the spenders until everyone else can start to catch up a bit. But by then it won’t matter much because a lot of players will just quit.
3. This event does seem fun if you are realistic. Even so, the rewards themselves from the crystals aren’t game breaking. My issue lies with the ranked rewards. The top 30 spenders get 13 nexus crystals, 5 awakening gems, 3 max sig 6*, 6 5*+ relics and 7 r4+ champs. That’s not even counting th me crystal or alliance rewards. How does this balance the game in any way, shape or form?
Call me a whiner or whatever, but I love battlegrounds and this event ruins the next chunk of seasons, unless you plan to spend an insane amount. I could go on, but what is the point.
Edit: if you’re in an involved alliance, 5850 units plus what you earn will be enough to get everything.
Imagine buying 10k+ of these crystals like some players usually do, and having them in your inventory just to open them a few every now and then. Then you pull scrap, a useless thats gonna be completely useless by that time.
This is basically a resource that you either get it now or they use will expire
Again this might be wrong just a quick calc but thould give the right idea for how much you'll need to spend to get all solo rewards
The kind of spender who is going to get those top of the line ranked rewards is the kind of spender who already has a full r4 roster. And if they already have that kind of roster and aren’t competitive in Battlegrounds (either due to lack of desire or time or skill or whatever), then these additional resources on top won’t change that for them.
The biggest spenders, however, will have one or more r5 6* champs after this. That’s definitely a BGs advantage that they did not have yet. I don’t think it’ll make an overwhelming difference (because you can always ban those champs if they’re especially scary), but it’s possible that it will. I can’t deny that possibility. I just don’t find it terribly likely that it will be a major pain point for Battlegrounds going forward.
Still befuddled at the disagree click. Gee I wonder who’d do that.
