Battleground Matchmaking
With so many players complaining about Battleground Matchmaking issues, why haven’t Kabam fixed it? It’s beyond frustrating for the majority of time to be matched with accounts that are 2 to 3 times stronger.
Matchmaking can’t be 100% random, there is an coded algorithm.
There seems to be a pattern,
* I get matched with WAY stronger players.
* and/or when it’s my time to pick my team, the system gives me my lower options to select from.
* they match me with players that I am their one” win to advance to the next level.
* I have screenshots to prove it.
It feels like they are throttling the game for lower accounts and rewarding big whale accounts by matching us with them for a statically sure win for them and that is less fun and less rewarding for us and our time.

Sometimes it is better to be able to change bg when smbd can't play for some unexpected reason and you the group needs cover the missing player.Understandable. To each it's own Alliance I guess. Hence, why I suggested a selectable option for Leader to enable/disable as they see fit. Unfortunately not everyone in our Alliance is "RAID-ready".
Is there any reason to not run 3bgs raids?

I concur. What's the point to have group assignments if can easily be bypassed? Should have an option to "lock" assignments for Leaders to enable. Caused a few issues in my Alliance resulting some heavy-hitters leaving (and being booted.)

Haha. Similar story here. He took my my path, used up all of his revives on the first Thanos with a 6R3 Nick Fury and then was out of commission. Managed to do about 20% which is something I guess...
It just feels especially bad because someone just lost out on half a 7* because this guy isn't even thronebreaker. The rewards are undeserved AND not worth the cost of admission anyway.

I would be happy to know 1 or 2 that are reliable. Everyone I tried for a stun immune Zola was inconistant.

Im all for a list of champs that can reliably heavy counter (excluding champs that can parry him with no issue)

I once kicked a player before raids ended, joined a path already completed despite being assigned a separate path, just didn't care. "Just a game not that deep" ye neither should the rewards be that deep for you then, pettiest thing I've done in a long time.
The guys who ruin war and raids for other members should be kicked unless it was a genuine mistake.

A few thoughts about this..You kinda need to have modern defenders to have damage mitigation, otherwise they’ll just get nuked by the myriad different nuke champs we have right now.
While I understand the need to create problems with defenders and solve them with attackers.. I think this year it's just too much
To answer the question in the video: I do think it's too much (too fast).. we need to split the difference a little imo
Because freedom of choice, at least to some degree or another, has always been part of the fun of the game.. in other words, you can choose to address none, some or all of the dangers in a fight via RPG counter traditionally:
- not a counter at all (use skill and gameplay to win the fight.. some situations much harder to do than others, but it's your choice)
- partial counter (your attacker has the ability to remove part of the dangers in a fight from the node/character kit combination in a fight.. meaning you can remove some, giving you the ability to focus more on the ones you aren't removing)
- Hard counter (remove nearly all the dangers of a fight.. essentially making it pretty straightforward button pressing.. all you're doing is making sure you complete the predetermined rotation you are meant to use successfully and you win)
I have always found using hard counters kind of boring tbh.. it's like following a script.. and every player in the game is also following the same script
And while we can say that some meta defenders "have more than one counter" that's without any nodes applied.. often when you actually apply nodes to the fight (BGs or AW) it's literally a one solution problem - use this attacker or lose in this particular fight design.. I'm just not a fan of that design personally
The old saying that "damage is utility" is also being countered by the latest champ design.. as many new champs are not only 5/5 defenders (even the ones actually used for attack very often), but they are given damage mitigation.. essentially to even further enforce that you must use champ A to beat champ B
MCOC has always been a fighting game with some RPG aspects.. but it's becoming an RPG game with some fighting game aspects now
Yes, I believe there needs to be roles, but I think the scales are tipping too far in that direction currently
‘Damage is utility’ was never intended to be a guiding principle, it just happens to be true in many cases. Doesn’t mean it has to stay true in all cases.
