It's really not about making it last longer, although it may take some longer to get there. It's a progress gate. The point is to make it accesible to people who have reached a certain level of progress. For some, they've reached it. For others, they'll have to work towards it.
I'll just do completion and pretend this content doesn't exist. Four 6* of a single class to do the path? So basically buy hundreds and hundreds of Cav crystals and pray. After about 60 or so I've yet to pull a single 6* and only two good/great 5*, and overall I have a very nice top to my roster. Judging by the looks I'll have put this game down entirely before I have the roster to meet these requirements, well played Kabam, well played.
The 6* gate is just quantity, not class specific. At least not yet.
Have you not read the patch notes each quest is class restricted by 3 i think so you cant take any class you want lmao

I did, and that just makes your comment even more confusing.
I’m don’t mind the gates don’t se why it need to be there either. But when the lies with 6 star is esay to get that ever that a lie if you don’t get lucky in cavlier you ain’t get them more so that a lie the same with 5 star but ther hav Ben esay to get But stil not to that point wher. EQ really need to get a big upgrade then and it shuld hav Ben done this mouch but it wasn’t. This just take it to a whole new lvl.

You are right, it just says 2, 3, 4, 6*'s required. I have a feeling though that's a typo though because you wouldn't get the class advantage they also mention.
So.... you said 5* and 6* shards have never been more accessible. I’m curious to what you are referring too?
I assume they are referring to the fact that it is easier to earn 5* and 6* shards now than at any other time in the past. If you can point to a time in the past when they were more available, I'd like to know when that was.
It is true that quest rewards haven't been updated since Uncollected was introduced in December of 2017. However, war rewards were updated with the introduction of seasons, alliance quest rewards have been increased multiple times including both glory rewards and the ability to buy 5* and 6* shards with glory. And the special events that come along seem to contain a literal fountain of 5* shards at least more than half the time. They also added 5* shards to the calendar to fill out the last few days. And that's on top of the increased ability to earn shards from the restructured arenas.
Some people will say that some of these things happened a while ago and not recently. But that's the entire point: as far back as you can go, there have been small but significant increases added to the game. Some recent, some further back, some even further back, because this keeps getting ratcheted upward. A slow but continuous ratchet upward is not going to have a huge number of increases all at once, it will have them spaced out over time, and at no time will there be a huge increase, but at no time will there be no increase for a long time either.
I don't mind the 5* class restricted paths at all. I'm a little concerned, however, about the 6* paths. I've been playing the game every day for about 2.5 years. I have 100% completed every Uncollected Event quest since the difficulty was introduced. I complete essentially every monthly side quest and bounty mission that becomes available, with the exception of the Maze because I thought my resources were better spent on other content at the time (but there weren't any 6* shards as rewards for the Maze if I'm remembering correctly). I'm 100% done with LOL, both Variants and Act 6.1. I was recently as high as number 153 in Kabam's 'Strongest Team' leader board (although I'm not sure what that means exactly. Does anyone? Surely it's at the very least a measurement for a pretty decent roster.). I even spend some money on this game, but not an exorbitant amount and typically not for crystals or shards since the RNG can be...unkind.
So if Act 6.2 is not for player like me, I'm not sure who it's for.
But the problem is that I have exactly 8 6 star champions (2 dupes). EIGHT. Where are all the 6 stars that have become so available? Maybe the paths will be doable with my 6* roster, IDK. But, depending on the nodes I could be SOL with only 8 champs to choose from.
It seems a bit soon to me to be restricting paths for mainly 6* champions.
So.... you said 5* and 6* shards have never been more accessible. I’m curious to what you are referring too?

While I agree that 5* shards have been more and more accesible via the side quests each month I fail to see the increase in 6* shards.
One could argue that more 5* shards mean more 6* shards when duping but that’s not enough. At least not for someone that his only content left is 6.2 and has 4-5 6* that all but 1 are trash. I’m curious to see hoy many of us are in that situation

What Glory store do you have access to that you can buy 5 and 6 star shards my friend? And I'm not sure I've seen any rewards that I'd consider to include 'a fountain' of 6 star shards. But maybe I'm missing something.
The whales get larger and the regular folk... get tossed aside because Kabam can’t see past dollar signs. Such a shame...
I know there's no extinguishing this type of comment, so I've stopped trying. But for the record, I don't see any of this as catering to the whales, and anyone who wants to debate the matter reasonably is free to engage me. But anyone just looking to sing the Interjection Song can leave me out of it.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I see what appears to be a shift in how progress is expanded in the game, from the pre-uncollected game which is relatively ungated, to the post-uncollected game which uses gates to intertwine content progress and roster progress. That's perfectly acceptable to me if it is done reasonably, and I see nothing in the announcement that is unreasonable, and particularly combining class advantage with class gates seems to be a reasonable way to create a "hurdle" rather than simply a ramp-up in difficulty (i.e. in a ramp difficulty just gets harder as the new normal, with a hurdle there's an initial requirement to satisfy but once you do it gets easier beyond the requirement).
So.... you said 5* and 6* shards have never been more accessible. I’m curious to what you are referring too?

Also, you asked when were 5* and 6* shards more readily available? How about the past 6 months before this one?

Availability has nothing to do with luck. It is easier to get 5* and 6* champs now than in the past. That is not a bit of a lie, that is the absolute truth.
No 4s! Can bring only certain classes! Can only bring 1 5 star! Only certain sizes!
Give me a break. What's next....class, rarity, tag, and rank restrictions all in one?
"For act 6.3 only 6* hero science champs at r2 with a size matter global node in this lane!"
We get it, you want us to spend $10 000 a week on cav crystals like COW. Great, see how the game survives when you've restricted players so hard that there's no one left to play. I spent $6000 in a month a few months back on this game, and I'm not doing that anymore.
End game players are getting rid of their accounts like the plague. Master level teams can't find decent players for war anymore cause all the vets got tired of where the game's headed and sold off their accounts to noobs who can barely play.
What is the point of spending several mortgage payments getting a champ, duping them, ranking them up to r5 , and taking them to max sig when you can come in and render them utterly worthless with an arbitrary gate?
Why do I have to bring my sig 20 6* deadpool xforce to act 6.2 when I can use a r5 sig 200 omega red? It's not fun, or fresh, or interactive. It just pisses me and everyone else off. Don't design powerful champs if you can't make proper content. Better yet, don't create problems, sell us solutions, then make those solutions utterly worthless so you can sell more solutions later down the road.
I don't care for 6 stars. They were released for no reason and my 6* RNG has been atrocious. Don't tell me who I can and can't use for content, I was the one that spent 10s of thousands of dollars on this game, not you! If our purchases can't keep their value then there's no point in spending.
So.... you said 5* and 6* shards have never been more accessible. I’m curious to what you are referring too?

Sorry, that was an error on my part. I was thinking of the temporary currency stores for the special events that come along, and conflated that with the glory store. I should have said that many of the temporary events dispense specific currency that you can use to buy 5* or 6* shards or crystals. I also forgot to mention that dungeons offer the ability to acquire 5* champion crystals.
On the other hand, I specifically didn't state that any event generated a huge amount of 6* shards, only 5* shards. However, a significant increase in 5* availability indirectly increases 6* availability by a small amount, due to the increased rate of duplicating 5* champions over time. If the only source of 6* shards was primarily the Uncollected difficulty I should be getting 6* champs about once every four months, but I'm actually getting them every two to three months on average. That is a significant increase due to things like 5* duplication.
To be fair, it's permanent content which these gates help ensure that most, except for the really lucky heavy spenders, will not have the champs to run through this quickly. So it will take quite a bit of time for the many to be able to get through this content making it artificially last longer.
The fact that it is permanent just means more time to get it completed. I understand both those who are upset at this and those who are happy with it. I'm going to wait and see what happens with getting 5* and 6* shards in the next couple of months. I'm going to be optimistic and hope good things are coming down the way for everyone from Beginner to Endgame players.
So.... you said 5* and 6* shards have never been more accessible. I’m curious to what you are referring too?

It definitely is a lie ther Ben esay in that sens. If you get lucky out of you cavlier Then mean rng so what I’m said rng is luck if you don’t hav that just that you don’t se what I’m mean. Of case last much we got arund 1.2k 6 shard that was nice but hasn’t Ben esay that ever. And then celbatate even coms like ever 4 to 5 much wher you end I’m get 2.5k but hasn’t Ben esay and better in that case. Agerd ther Ben esay But not hav ther desribe it
This just gives huge advantage to people with 6* Doms, Corvus, Voids etc . Even though I have completed all content pretty comfortably and opened 11 6* crystals to only have champs like DD, sentry, Rocket, DPX etc
This is where RNG going to hurt people like me . I feel what Idelest said in his parting video . The contest is restarting and we r again at the mercy of huge RNg swings
Add another chapter to Kabam clearly not understanding the meta of the game.
I have a large 6* roster. Over 40 champs. Some very good. 8 of them duped. I'll be just fine. That said, gates requiring 4 6* champs? That's disgustingly ridiculous for 98% of the player base who may not have that many good/great 6* for a challenge of this magnitude.
This doesn't bother me one bit, the only thing that is a little concerning is Legends run times. Obviously it isn't an even playing field now with Rosters being important. But I can see this really limiting who can get the legends tag in Act 6.2 and on. I think this will make the game more fun but again I can also see this locking out a lot of skilled players that can't compete with rosters. Other than that it will be an interesting challenge.
Since you're so determined to stick with this gating system, maybe it's time to start letting players have more control of which characters they get. It's been about 4 months since RNG has given me a character that I use regularly.
Some ideas: Expand the Basic and Featured 5* Arena Create a featured 6* Arena More frequent Dungeon style crystals (small pools) Add Class specific crystals
It's time to lessen the game's dependence on RNG, not increase it.
The only way 5s and 6s have been more accessible since act 6 came out is by way of whaleing out on cavalier crystals. Thats a cash grab if I've ever seen one.
