I find it interesting that demonzfyre, pikolu and groundedwisdom can personally attack and defame people and not have their comments deleted. They obviously are on Kabam's payroll. All of their comments are in defense of their overlords.
I'd like to know where I defamed and personally attacked anyone. If you could point that out, I'd be interested. The Thread started out with the spirit of conspiracy, then devolved into personal attacks. Do not accuse me of what I'm not guilty of.

This, and I probably will be banned tomorrow lol. For the record though, initially I was only stating why I thought the compensation was indeed sent to cheaters and then Demonzfyre and GroundedWisdom derailed the conversation into whatever this is because they can't stand when people say anything negative about Kabam.
Dude… the amount of replies and derailments you personally added here. Own your part, and end it. This should be about asking for a reply to the OPs very good question. What happened here, and what’s going to be done to address?

I never said I didn't add to it afterwards hence the "initially", calm down, stop fuming and go read my comment slowly again yeah? Also, if you go back to where the thread started you'll see that it was them that derailed the conversation by bringing up KT1 and mercs and content creators stirring up drama for views when all I did was say I don't trust Kabam and I think it's entirely possible that the compensations were indeed sent.
There was already a fake forum post going around related to these bans. I think this screenshot is worth taking with a grain of salt, especially when we’re relying on the word of people who were banned for playing dishonestly. If it was actually given, I think there’s zero chance it was sent intentionally to people coming back from a ban. But if it was unintentionally sent, I sure hope it’s undone.
I don't think I've ever disagreed with you before but first time for everything. If Kabam had done anything to deserve the benefit of the doubt on anything in regards to cheating I would agree with you, but as most of us know, Kabam deserves the opposite of the benefit of the doubt based on historical precedent.
Your dislike of Kabam doesn't stop proof being a black and white thing. Proof is not a screenshot of one ingame mail, no account name included, not even of one member that KT alleges.
If it's true, then Kabam can answer whether it was a mistake and what they'll do about it to fix it. Until then, I forgot it was guilty until proven innocent...
This isn't a "oh he hates Kabam" sort of situation though. It's not like this distrust is caused by hate cause oh well he just hates Kabam, no this distrust is caused by the mountain of balancing, bugs, cheater issues etc that have plagued the game for the past 4-6 months. So you can't really blame people for taking this whole situation at face value, especially considering a lot of the people who were banned are top spenders. If this turns out to be a lie then good for Kabam, we'll all stand corrected but until they say something (which I doubt they will) people are free to think whatever they want to think.
He was responding to a comment that said "Take this with a grain of salt, we're trusting the words of cheaters", and basically saying Kabam don't deserve a grain of salt, and lets trust the cheaters. That is not a logical response, it's an emotional one to fit in with not liking Kabam or their decisions.
I agree people can think whatever they want, but if they decide they *know* what happened based on a screenshot and the word of the modders and cheaters who got banned - they probably aren't thinking about it too smartly. Like I said, I don't know for sure what happened, but neither do you, or Chatter. So that's literally all Cat and I are saying. If you disagree with that, then you either don't take proof seriously enough and believe anything on the internet as long as it suits your opinion, or you trust modders way more than is reasonable.
Giving an incompetent company (who couldn't or didn't want to get rid of arena bots for years cause they didn't care and also allowed these same modders to remain in top 500 GC during a full season of BGs) the benefit of the doubt isn't really thinking about it too smartly either imo, especially when the people banned were top spenders. Now, do I believe this whole situation is 100% real and I'm grabbing torches and pitchforks? Nah. Am I leaning more towards it being real than fake? Absolutely. I don't trust Kabam as much as I used to, I'm sure we all have our reasons.
But you trust a former merc/cheater who constantly has to stir the pot to get views?
Didn't kabam hire a merc/cheater?
What? Who?
Kararemike
He wasn't either of those things.
He was a Merc. And by extension a cheater. Although that's semantics
@Demonzfyre reading comprehension -10. No, my suggestion is: do your job (which you're getting paid for) cause right now it doesn't even look like you care, hence all the issues I just mentioned in less than 4 months.
So they're banned but people still get matched with them quite frequently in GC, got it! That's some next level logic right there.
You don't know who gets banned or when they get banned so how do you even know you're getting matched with a hacker/modder who was banned/is banned?
"Doing their job" is exactly what I said. You want there to be no bugs which is what you consider a "heathier direction". You obviously think it's easy to run this game smoothly for as many devices it can with as many different connections there are, so what are they missing? Why can't they get it right but somehow you have the knowledge to do it?
You don't, because they're not getting banned, did the sarcasm on that comment really fly over your head like that?
No it's not, doing their job right would be fixing some of the other issues I mentioned as well which are actually more important than bugs and latency, I don't know why you keep focusing on the issue that matters the least. I also never said the game has to be perfect and run smooth for everyone, that's just you twisting my words to kiss up on the forums as per usual. There will always be issues in the game which is understandable, but when you have that many issues every single month, someone is obviously not doing their job right.
Again, you seem to think those issues you mentioned should have been fixed by now. So how do they fix it since they can't do it? You seem to think they're issues that are issue to resolve, so what's the answer?
That's a very odd question. It's not that Kabam can't, they obviously can cause they have fixed similar issues before, they're just not giving those issues enough attention. At no point in any of my comments have I said they can't, they can they just don't care enough about some of them. They've banned people manually in BGs before, we even had a season with zero cheaters in top 500, now they can't do it? They obviously can.
What benefit does Kabam get for not fixing things you said? Why wouldn't they fix input issues, lag or bugs if they can? There's not any benefit for them leaving anything in the game if they have the capabilities of fixing them. But obviously you have some sort of inside knowledge to know they don't care and whatnot.
Just like you said, no one should take you seriously keyboard warrior.
Correct, they're just lazy. Are you always this dense? I keep having to spell everything out for you bud.
1. I said forum warrior not keyboard warrior, which doesn't apply to me since I don't live on these forums 24/7. 2. That wasn't directed at you but if the shoe fits, wear it I guess 🤣
Yes. They're just lazy. I'm sure you can do what they do and do it better right? You're an expert in the field with years of experience to be able to speak to their capabilities?
Not necessarily, what I do know is that the games you mentioned earlier do fix game issues ten times faster than Kabam. I'm sure you'll give another dumb excuse though, using other games as examples only works when it fits your narrative correct? 🤣
CoD and Fortnite are played on computers and game consoles that are basically computers. They're leagues easier to troubleshoot but guess what, they have more hackers and cheaters than MCOC does and they don't ban any faster the MCOC.
I see that you completely skipped my question. You call people lazy and accuse them of not wanting or willing to fix an issue. You sit there behind your screen tossing these things around and you really don't have a clue what it takes to do any of it.
Just blows my mind that people have attitudes like yours with zero experience in game development, programming etc.. I'm out. This conversation is completely pointless.
As predicted, another excuse. It's okay buddy I'm sure you're right, that's why every single thing you post gets ratioed, have a good day 🤣
What excuse? W.T.F are you even talking about? Jesus.
I said you'd reply with some dumb excuse about why you can't compare those videos games to mcoc when that's exactly what you did earlier, and I wasn't wrong. Take your L and move on my man stop being so triggered.
Dumb excuse? You mean facts? I'm not the one taking any losses here my guy. You've thoroughly embarrassed yourself here.
What could possibly be more embarrassing than this?

I find it interesting that demonzfyre, pikolu and groundedwisdom can personally attack and defame people and not have their comments deleted. They obviously are on Kabam's payroll. All of their comments are in defense of their overlords.
I'd like to know where I defamed and personally attacked anyone. If you could point that out, I'd be interested. The Thread started out with the spirit of conspiracy, then devolved into personal attacks. Do not accuse me of what I'm not guilty of.
Yeah. As much as I've been infuriated with your comments, you've personally never devolved into personal insults or language (afaik)which tbh is really hard on these forums.
Demonz has been jailed before though. And pikolu is a nice person. So don't know why he was named
Again, I never claimed I didn't send any personal attacks or add to the derailment cause I did, and for that I absolutely don't apologize cause I'm not the one who started it lol. As I already pointed out, I only did so after the conversation was already derailed by Demonzfyre when he started bringing up KT1 and mercs for absolutely no reason while also posting passive aggressive comments. Like it or not, I didn't start it
Wasn't talking to you about that part
You quoted one of my responses to Demonzfyre and said nice shifting though 🤷♂️
What does KT1 have to do with this issue. What was the point in derailing this whole thread?
All that needs to be said is that it wasn’t intentional and Kabam will deal with it.
It’s almost as if you guys are new players. Merc’ing was extremely common intra-alliance. I had lots of requests to pilot people due to my Legend badge at the time (2015) and turned them down. Someone who’s never been asked to merc for money is not worth listening to on this matter.

Yeah that was about the disagree agree ratio. It started as draft. Sorry
What does KT1 have to do with this issue. What was the point in derailing this whole thread?

Imo , it's all cumulative. Kabam being lax(or unable to deal with) about piloting , mercing, bitting etc which has brought upon this distrust towards kabam to the point where it is believable to some that kabam sent gifts to banned players.
Players like Kt1 and kararemike all benefitted from this behaviour of kabam. Their main accounts should also have been banned like El TIO Kurt's was. Although the specifics are up for kabam to decide.
I think the entire culture where account sharing piloting was necessary in top alliances shouldn't have happened I'm the first place or have stayed as long as it had.

That is Kabam’s fault for not enforcing those rules. If Kabam were to retroactively punish them, fine. However, that had nothing to do with this thread.
Like I said, those of us that had Legend badges years ago saw this stuff and there were many relatively disadvantaged/poor kids who chose to do it for a little money. I might have gone down that road if I wasn’t already a working professional. To stand on this high horse, now after so many years, like some of the posters here do is just weird especially when it is off-topic.
I'm sorry, but this is where I diverge. There is no financial situation that justifies fraudulently providing services for people in a mobile game. It is a game. One that is owned by the very company that people like to take a dookie on, and yet find some way to justify undercutting by breaking the rules. No matter how you try to spin it, it is wrong. It's also illegal. Which means it's not an understandable way of making some extra coin. I may not judge people on a personal basis, but I'm certainly not going to agree with the "bleeding hearts" perspective when it comes to a conscious decision to break the rules. Wrong is wrong.

What prompted people to break TOS isn't a concern. Any high horse that happens here is all based on the game standards.
If you cheat in game, you're a cheater. You might have done it to buy your cat some pet food but it doesn't matter. You should still get banned.
If i talk about cheating it's based on the game. They might be super fantabulous people in real life. (Karatemike seems to a wonderful person to be with as far as I can see from his videos) but that's irrelevant.
Like I said earlier, if you’ve never been asked to pilot, I can’t take it seriously. It’s easy to say you wouldn’t do it when you’ve never been asked…
If you think KT1 and KarateMike are where they are because of piloting years ago, go ask them for a friendly with your 6* vs their 5* abs let us know the results.
Seatin just got to Paragon in 2-3 months F2P. Both of them are better players. This is all much ado about nothing.
I've never been asked to rob a bank either. There are thousands of Players who manage just fine without breaking the rules. The only thing that causes people to act that way is greed. Plain and simple. People can ask whatever they like. Having a conscience means saying no. Regardless, choices are made. They're not the result of being down on someone's luck or at the wrong place at the wrong time. When someone takes money (illegal, against ToS) to do content for others (against ToS), and has the wherewithal to make it into a hidden business, that's more calculated than just being in a bind. It's also self-serving. How many of those Players paid money to have their Accounts banned, with no action taken on the Merc? How many never developed skills for themselves? Rarely do I say things like this, but it's garbage behavior. Point blank. There are no winners in that.
What a stunning lack of a sense of scale/common sense. Comparing helping someone in a game to bank robbery?
You think you’d never try to rob a bank? You’ve just never been in the circumstances where you’d have to consider it (like people in Lebanon forced to rob banks for their own money).
This is why I can’t take your opinion on this matter seriously; you judge without even considering what it must have been like to walk in their shoes…
When did kt1 cheat?? I watch his videos all of the time and don't remember this happening.....I mean, as far as stirring the pot......kabam has a self stirring pot. It stirs itself by existing lol. All I see is someone in the community, who has a voice using that voice and platform to take the side of the players.....I find it hard to not get behind that???? Again.....unless I completely missed something and he cheated....I just don't remember that
Back in the day he was a merc back when account sharing in competitive aq allys was the norm. Heck some allys required someone to have your account details. It's funny seeing some of these older accounts on here commenting and acting like they didn't do it. Everybody was doing it then some of the top allys started to complain rightfully so about it in aw and kabam started to dock points. Mercs and account sharing has always been apart of this game not saying its right but kabam has failed to drop the hammer on them. So imo they own a big part of the blame. I believe these accounts did get a welcome back package. I don't think it was intentional but for a company that screws up about once a month it wouldn't surprise me. Now all the white knights will come out and defend kabam and call kt1 a cheater to try and discredit him. Always the same people saying kabam was right and there's no evidence.
Yeah, I remember that. I have vague memory of Seatin getting removed from CCP, when he shared his account with one of hos alliance members, they logged in and placed Killmonger on defence when he was not released yet.

So does the law. It has nothing to do with the people who do it or their circumstances. It's about right and wrong. It's about the action. For that matter, I don't have anything against anyone. I'm sure people do things for all kinds of reasons. That doesn't change the fact that they break the law. I judge actions. Not people. We're talking about a racketeering apparatus in a mobile game. Not a loaf of bread to feed the family. Let's be real.

Racketeering indeed! What an upstanding citizen you are. I'll bet you dutifully report people for helping each other with homework too.
I, for one, agree with your logic. People who make guides should be in jail too. Think of the poor people who didn't learn to figure out node counters by themselves! Oh the humanity!
Account Sharing has always been against the rules. People were surprised to see them take action, but I've pointed out that fact for years. Also, I told anyone that I encountered, if an Ally asks for your Login info, walk away.

Your rationale is flawed. I'm talking about Mercs. People who accept money for services that are against ToS. Not people who provide guides for the game. I have no idea how you can equate the two, but one does not justify the other.

Genuine question since I was not playing during those times. Did the TOS always spell out that others cannot login to your account when the game started or were they added later on?
Account Sharing has always been against the rules. People were surprised to see them take action, but I've pointed out that fact for years. Also, I told anyone that I encountered, if an Ally asks for your Login info, walk away.
Nobody said it was. I was just pointing out the time they are talking about with KT1 is also a time when account sharing was widely accepted among the community. That's all I was saying.

This, and I probably will be banned tomorrow lol. For the record though, initially I was only stating why I thought the compensation was indeed sent to cheaters and then Demonzfyre and GroundedWisdom derailed the conversation into whatever this is because they can't stand when people say anything negative about Kabam.
This was probably an automated response sent from the system also, just shrugging off the punishment given to these cheaters is weird. THey didn only get 7 day bans, they got those characters DELETED from their acccounts. Irrespective of rank. Plenty of them had them at r4/r5. So all the sigstones/rank up mats.... GONE.

The Thread started out with the spirit of conspiracy, then devolved into personal attacks.
Do not accuse me of what I'm not guilty of.
Also, if you go back to where the thread started you'll see that it was them that derailed the conversation by bringing up KT1 and mercs and content creators stirring up drama for views when all I did was say I don't trust Kabam and I think it's entirely possible that the compensations were indeed sent.
Demonz has been jailed before though. And pikolu is a nice person. So don't know why he was named
I may not judge people on a personal basis, but I'm certainly not going to agree with the "bleeding hearts" perspective when it comes to a conscious decision to break the rules. Wrong is wrong.
If you think KT1 and KarateMike are where they are because of piloting years ago, go ask them for a friendly with your 6* vs their 5* abs let us know the results.
Seatin just got to Paragon in 2-3 months F2P. Both of them are better players. This is all much ado about nothing.

ItsClobberingTime using forums 24/7 to attack Demonzfyre
It has nothing to do with the people who do it or their circumstances. It's about right and wrong. It's about the action.
For that matter, I don't have anything against anyone. I'm sure people do things for all kinds of reasons. That doesn't change the fact that they break the law.
I judge actions. Not people.

It was NEVER widely accepted. Mike was never a cheater/merc. They stay on the right side of the line and refrain from personal attacks. They are following the rules. This was probably an automated response sent from the system
