Assumptions lol I've provided screenshots of what his account looked like before vs what it looks like now but yeah these are just "assumptions" folks.
You mean making assumptions about what they're going to leave and what they aren't, what their reasons are, what people are "getting away with", what people will think next time this happens, if there is a next time something like this happens.....shall I go on?
We're going off of what we know and talking about what we want. If that's a problem for you, I'm not sure there's really anything anyone can say to help you.
Agh stop giving limelight to someone who doesnt care about the game enough to play it... Derailing the conversation constantly... Assumptions assumltions oh they will decide on the best course of action.. maybe its the ONLY course of action they have cause they messed up BIG, and took too long to fix it... The screenshots of affected accounts keeping 7*s is far from being an assumption its proof... They won't come up to say hey we did all we can.. or hey we fixed it.. its gonna go by the same as the loyalty issue... As for me.. after this.. Kabam can say goodbye to my own 4-5k yearly... Its just plain disrespectful to come up with this half as*** solution...
Yeah I'm just going to ignore him, I suggest everyone does the same from this point and on. If we leave him talking to a brick wall I'm sure eventually he'll give up.

I can't help a slight feeling of despair that I checked in on the forums this morning, saw 123 new comments out of 156 and my first thought was "I wonder if GW got involved..." 🙄

So, to get back on track here, when do we, the rest of the players didn't exploit this, expect our 30k 7 star shards compensation?
Doubt we'll get any compensation (30k is also too much lol if we were to receive compensation it would definitely be waaay way less). I believe they'll either ignore this thread and anyone who asks about this issue, or they'll go for a second temp ban wave to remove the rest, but compensation is highly unlikely. We should get answers tomorrow hopefully though.

Yes, I can imagine that Kabam would be able to remove champions, ISO and Gold that these players got from these crystals, but might struggle to roll back all of the progress gain these players may or maybe not have gotten from it (including Solo contents and BG). Therfore these players in theory could still have gained some benefits from this exploit.
So since Kabam have a list of players that have selected, received and open some/most/all of these Mythic crystals. Kabam could send out a small (crystals & resources) package to all the players that didn't exploit this bugs, it could be based on progression level. As a "simple" way just to balance thing out.
Win win for everyone.
This is was my idea for the solution way back in Page 2. (gosh that felt like a life time ago, when we were young and hopeful...that this mess were going to be fix properly).
That's not at all what it is. I pointed out how obsessive this is becoming, and it's not productive. We're talking about the actions they're taking on other peoples' Accounts. Not some game bug that needs fixed. They don't owe anyone any explanation on that. This idea of people getting something for not breaking the rules is pretty strange to be honest. It was a cute idea with the Rifts, but it's not something I see happening all the time. In any case, it's not GW vs. everyone. Someone has to interject some common sense.
To be honest, I could see them making some kind of comment on what's been done. I just don't think it's up to us to determine what actions they should take. That's the point I was making.

Why are you constantly defending multimillionaire company? Do they pay you? Be honest

The people who work there get a salary. That money goes to their parent company, Netmarble. The only thing I'm defending is logic.
It's wild that this thread is still going strong when it's essentially just complaining. Granted, semi on topic but hardly helping anything. I don't think any legitimate players want the exploiters to keep their 7*s but we've heard literal silence so far, so what's the point in carrying on arguing?

Okay lets say you are right about all of this. What do you still get for defending a company that doesnt even care about you? And sees you as pure profit potential?

Okay, this whole us vs. them perspective is not one I carry. I look at all sides. Not just Players, not just Kabam. It's not a money-hungry entity that exists through the ether. They're human beings on the other side of the country that work a job the best they can. They are not infallible. They're not cold and aloof. I don't take any stance for the sake of it. I look beyond just what people want on here.

Yeah you are right. They work a job the best they can to get as much profit as possible. And since caring about you or me doesnt give any profit that wont happen. Also can you explain what exactlt "i look beyond just what people want on here" means? Im curious if this whole thing isnt just reminding normal players the reality of a company not caring enough about them and their issues for just fun?

That really sounds more like a judgment you have than anything. What I mean is pretty simple. There's more to look at than what people want. By default on here, if you don't express immediate support for the outcome people want to see, you're seen as against them. Which is as harsh a judgment as claiming they don't care about anyone.

You do realize that we have bugs and issues that havent solved or eveb been communicated for like a year at this point right? Even this mythic crystal issue is here since like 1-2 weeks?
I’m hoping we see some kind of update and if we do I suspect it will be late today.
Kabam dropped the ball by missing the bug. We all agree on that.
Kabam dropped the ball again by not freezing all impacted accounts ASAP. I think most of us agree on that now.
When it happened, Kabam implied they had a way to fix this without freezing/banning the accounts. It appears they overestimated how effective that would be. Many of us pointed out all the tangential gains to an account besides just the new champs and they didn’t take that warning and still let players use them for 2 weeks and here we are.
We’ve now learned the “fix” didn’t remove everything that was gained. Not even close. And on top of that, it looks like they are still sending out BG season rewards to those players that used their boosted rosters in the last BG season. That’s based on a support response in another thread. I hope it’s not true but I’ve seen nothing contradicting it yet.
At this point there appears to be little to no downside for the people who opened the crystals and many have the upside of all the content they were able to do, all the BG progress they made, and they even get to keep at least some of the champs.
I hope Kabam comes back and says “hey, our fix didn’t work as well as we thought so we’re going to make another pass at it later this week” but I don’t know if that’s even going to happen at this point.
In terms of future exploits, I definitely see more people rolling the dice and taking advantage of it based on this response. There was no downside to it and major upside for some.
In future cases that are this extreme, I hope they shut the game down ASAP while they figure out which accounts were impacted and then freeze all those accounts until the mess can be cleaned up. Any daily/weekly objectives or rewards missed while frozen would be the consequence of exploiting the bug. That’s the safest way I can think of to handle this kind of thing to avoid the mess snowballing like it did here.
I don’t think fully banning accounts makes sense. Taking away someone’s account they spent years building and/or a significant amount of money over something like this is excessive. At this point I think the best we can hope for is another round of cleanup and a small compensation for dropping the ball on the cleanup to even things out a little bit.
To be honest, I could see them making some kind of comment on what's been done. I just don't think it's up to us to determine what actions they should take. That's the point I was making.

I know we've had our disagreements in the past, but it's so wild to me that we both came here and said "kabam didn't do enough but they probably aren't going to do anything more so we'll just have to learn to live with it" and got such drastically different responses.
Yeah I'm just going to ignore him, I suggest everyone does the same from this point and on. If we leave him talking to a brick wall I'm sure eventually he'll give up.
@Kabam Miike could we get an update on the situation? There's no doubt here that some low accounts have kept some of the 7* (and 6* based on some of the posts that were made on Friday) they got after the exploit.
To be honest, I could see them making some kind of comment on what's been done. I just don't think it's up to us to determine what actions they should take. That's the point I was making.

There's a very big difference between what you said and downplaying every single thing everyone says (regardless of it being a personal opinion, complaint, suggestion etc) while also attempting to derail the thread by claiming everything is a conspiracy theory.
