Thank you Kabam, for implementing 30 ins timers for this week of AQ.
This has been the less stressful AQ we have had in a long while. I was on the verge of quitting this game. But this weeks AQ has been a treat for sure.
I really really hope this could be implemented forever. IT makes AQ less of a chore and actually fun.
This game was meant to be both Fun and Challenging but it feels lately you guys had forgotten the FUN aspect until you implemented 30 min timers, which definitively brought back some fun into this game.
I am sure we will see people TROLL this post, saying silly things like 30 mins timers are bad for them, blah blah blah. They are just trolling.
30 mins timers are nothing but beneficial for us players, and I truly thank you for this nice gift even if temporary.

Unfortunately Kabam has made it pretty clear that the 1 hour timer is part of the difficulty of the quest.
The coordination/recruiting that happens outside of the game literally take HOURS per day for alliance leaders/officers, time that they'd love to spend actually playing the game instead. It resolves alliance conflict, reduces player attrition, and should lead to no decrease in profitability.
If they sold AQ energy for units I would understand their stance. However, 60 min timers don't hurt them in any way so why not make about 90% of their players happier?
30mins certInely works for everyone who can find time out of your real life and get through AQ. It’s logical and sensible but since they design the game with those silly event that you have to repeat repeat and repeat so you are always playing the game.
Seriously, we don’t work for Kabam, stop the silly idea about getting ppl to stay competitive by continuous playing... just make something fun and enjoyable and ppl with carry on playing.
As that is entirely a self-inflicted punishment, I literally don't care if this statement is true or false.
The more logical strategy is to advocate for changing it, because apparently if it is changed you won't like it, but you also won't be playing it, and thus everyone gets to execute their game play philosophy to its fullest.
Kabam does not care what is convenient for the player base. They have stated that 60min timers are part of the difficulty (as pointed out above). The goal is to force players log in multiple times every day. More log-ins = more face time in the game = higher chance of buying things.
The biggest piece of evidence that Kabam does not care what is convenient for the players has been this months special event quest (assassin & merc missions). The timers are setup so players have limited points to log in at different times each day/night. If you wanted to do every one, it meant fighting at 2am some nights and skipping out of work/school the next day. No flexibility for players to attempt them when it's convenient for us.
Consistency favors the player in that we can get into a rhythm which makes the fights easier. Easier fights = less currency spent. This is why many Map 5 allies get into rhythms of logging in at set times every day (breakfast, lunch break, after work) because the longer timers allow it to happen while still letting the clock run. For me, the only time my timer stops is about 5hrs after I go to bed at night or if a work meeting runs long and I skip my lunch.
