I thought the state of the game was bad...
New announcements, that are a huge dissappointment... Same old bugs and server issues..
Transparency is the word for dungeons, well no, they won't be transparent because they would have to admit fault for the last time and this time.
Now, the "bug" that interfered with dungeons unlike the assassins mission which was only a small part of the game. This again had a ripple effect through the whole game and locked everyone out... Kabam won't be offering over max rewards to make up for the game not performing up to previous standards or anyone's standards...
Is Kabam doing this on purpose to reduce player base?
Is anyone happy about the packages?
Here is stuff you can already easily obtain.... these packs feel like an empty gesture so they can say they made it up to you.
Give out MAX glory in the stash to claim, then for 8 days (for class fragments rotation) have the glory store have no limits and no increased pricing. That way players can feel satisfied/compensated getting the stuff they want/need not some bs chosen by someone who knows nothing about you.. it's like that bad birthday gift because no though went into the individual receiving the gift.
If I want to spend 15k glory on daily science fragments then I should be able to as compensation.
I don't need your arena package, I don't waste life grinding arena for top rewards
I don't need your questing package, stocking health and boosts is an easy thing to do
I don't need your alliance package, it's extremely rare that I use alliance potions or revives.
You know what I do want as compensation? Since you didn't ask players anything...
I want the 4* and 5* shards from that "down" time period and 5* rank up packages, Kabam handed out whole tier 4 class catalyst with last "compensation" so basic and class tier 4 isn't too much to ask for compared to packages I've read people asking for.
Just give everyone the max glory; in stash let's not take away from those that have budgets, let us the players choose our own apology gift so we actually feel like Kabam apologizes and compensates its player base
Kabam said it themselves (don't quote them though they will deny it) everybody's different everybody's got their own plan for playing
I am curious to know how others feel about this "compensation"
I m agree with that, maybe with all these bugs and lags they trying to reduce players base because their servers can’t handle the huge Amont of players anymore, that pretty sad from a game.
Also, while I love the UMCOC podcast and listen to it every Tuesday when it drops in the Itunes store...the latest episode made me kind of shake my head. Let me personally be clear, and others can agree if they want - and i'll preface this by saying I like and respect the people on it - our issue here with Kabam is not so simplistic you can boil it down to "we had a problem with the WAY they delivered this news." It wasn't the fact that they announced all of this, and it took players asking the moderators for them to finally sheepishly come out and say it was actually compensation as well. That is just pretty sad on it's face and shows yet again Kabam can't get out from under themselves in the public relations department - but it's NOT the main issue, and I'm actually kind of confused why Dragon would be sitting here going through the forums and reading all of this, and think that is what people are saying.
Kabam could have sent this message out and made sure we knew it was compensation, and had doves arrive with it, and a glitter bomb attached and it would still have landed EXACTLY how it did. And let me also be clear - this isn't the "angry mob forum community just getting upset and outraged again, but if only Kabam had delivered the bad news better the response wouldn't have been so big." That is the furthest thing from the actual truth in my opinion and wouldn't have changed one person's mind who commented here and is upset. They have reason to be upset, and they have expressed it in detail and even suggested what would have been more appropriate compensation ideas instead. And while it may be true that by holding the previous Summoner Appreciation event for a month somehow unbalanced the game, if that's the case then Kabam can come out and admit it and explain why. At least that one tidbit of an answer would show a bit of transparency around this issue and we could MAYBE get over that aspect of it. Still, it's pretty sad that the game would be that shaky that a simple gold/xp/battlechip boost could break everything, and there's a lot of players who are still hurting for gold even after the milestones in arena were changed - especially those of us donating huge amounts every week to run map 5 and 6.
No, I'll reiterate what I have said (and many others) before this: It's not the message delivery, it's the content itself. It made me sad to hear the hosts act like these choose your own packages were something to be excited about and somehow sufficient to make up for all the issues and problems large amounts of players had in the game for the past months leading up to this. You've got content creators talking about or just full on leaving the game now, wars are making this constant revolving door in so many alliances and burning out officers who have to spend all their time recruiting - as my group alone had people straight up take the push kabam gave and finally gave up the game. There's other people on here who posted laundry lists of the issues leading up to this, but even just looking at the overheating and outage issues ALONE, these packages don't even scratch the surface of what people missed out on, and the stress everyone else in their alliance had to deal with to make up for it if they couldn't play. The fact that we didn't get even longer than a week to have something rectified freely in the game is really just very telling about the state of the game itself, and I had hoped that some people higher in the top alliances and leaders in the community would take a more EMPATHETIC view on this whole situation, since that seems to be our new favorite adjective here. Kabam could have made a slam dunk on all of this - they knew they had to do something and couldn't ignore the ongoing issues building, and even had the players themselves have to help to fix it - and instead of going ABOVE and beyond to make up for it, they did not even the bare minimum. Their messaging being terrible on top of it is a contributing factor but hardly shocking and definitely not the source of the ire from the player base. I'll let others interpret all this how they may and agree or not, but I certainly speak for myself and my view of the situation after hearing this today. I kind of expected better from people who have been around for a long time, and it makes me sad that it was pretty much brushed aside due to some shiny week long weaksauce packages.
I just wanted to add my voice here. I too think that added a gift to the summoners appreciation week is a terrible excuse for compensation. The compensation for having my battery overheat my phone and not allow me to play for WEEKS is overdue and underpaid in my opinion. I am excited about summoners appreciation week as I have always been every year, but I feel like you have painted a dark cloud over it with this. "FEELS BAD MAN - Seatin"
I think this whole gripe extents beyond appreciation and compensation. It has turned into a respect issue. Kabam has showed its community disrespect by ignoring it.
True, there could be behind the scenes discussions and @Kabam Miike could be slamming his fist on the table on our behalf with no avail. However, the lack of response remains the loudest response. Simply acknowledging the gripes and giving the community some idea about the situation from the mods point of view would go a long way.
By remaining silent, outside of warnings for breaking “rules,” tells me the mods do not respect the community’s concerns and have no interst in addressing them. Until something changes, this is the perception that most folks have gleaned from this thread, and perception is reality.
This compensation is a joke they are making us choose from an aspect of the game when every aspect of the game was affected it seems they are also ignoring the thread to let it blow over

This is precisely what I said in my 1* App Store review for this game.
I used to think this was a great company and same with the game but I’ve realized they have no respect at all for the community not even in the slightest
I've worked as a small business consultant and also an advisor for large commercial clients. One thing I can say in all of my experience is that a company that doesn't listen to their consumers will not last very long. Of course this is also common sense. The business practices of kabam should be changed to offer better communication, which is key, and compensate accordingly for the many flaws and errors that have plagued the community for months, if not years.
I understand there may be confusion here and want to clarify and confirm again for everyone. Lyra’s statement earlier in the thread is correct and the Summoner Appreciation Gift that is included in the Summoner Appreciation week is the compensation for issues in 19.0 previously discussed on the forums. I hope this is clear for you all now. As always, we welcome and thank you for your constructive feedback both about the gift and the event.
That's just disgusting. Over 3 weeks of unplayable game an you guys begging the community to help you beta test an this it, pure shameful.
You know, for all that I think Kabam has handled this situation poorly in general, and in most particulars, one thing I find inexplicable is players taking random swipes at the beta testing done on the client update. I've heard it characterized in lots of different ways, from "desperation" and "begging" for help, to a Youtuber actually calling it "shady" (which is bizarre on many levels).
However frustrated we might be over some of Kabam's actions and messaging, we're only hurting ourselves characterizing the one thing they did right in anything other than a positive way.
Oh no you find it inexplicable, please hold on a minute while find someone who cares
It is enough for me that people read my posts, think about them, and then respond to them if they feel so motivated. I can only assume that when they do, they're doing the best they can to represent their thoughtfulness as best they can.

Could say a lot more but don't fancy the 20 page short story you'll write as a follow up when someone else in that thread covered your points quite nicely.
Technically you presume not assume, there is a slight difference. Also you know what they say say about assumptions, right.
Does anyone know the amount each package contains me personally it will depends becuz if the questing only has 5 refills but the aq and aw have 2 big team revives imma go for aq or aw just cuz they cost more units js is each package gonna be equal cost wise that where be what i choose from
My plan to affect their data is to not claim any of the "appreciation" kabam is giving out and play as little as I can (without getting kicked out of my alliance) during summoner appreciation week. I will not open any gold/arena crystals, I will not do any arena, I will not complete any content with their 10% boost. I'm lvl 60 and way past act 4 so that appreciation is useless. I will not enter the halls of potions.
Their "appreciation" makes me sick. I will avoid it.
I am of the same mindset as Dorky Dave, if I fall behind, I don't care.
You mean the same MCOC podcast that got so downvoted they never posted links in reddit ever again?
We don't post each episode to reddit just like every other content creator doesn't post each of their videos they make to reddit...everyone's OC gets downvoted (welcome to reddit), we only posted the first few to get the word out.
As for your other comments, I don't think we try to speak for everyone...I sure don't because I know I'm not in the majority when it comes to progression AND my views towards spending. I just tell it like I see it *shrugs*
The silence is deafening. Does anyone work here anymore? The communication is grade A here. 12.0 may have been about a sweeping change affecting the game as a whole, but the underlying issues are still here, contempt for userbase, no communication, hiding away and hoping the issues goes away, giving the absolute minimum possible everytime.
I dont want to hear any complaints from any of the guys that just spent £40 on 10 crystals either, you are a big a part of the problem as they are.

Whats the plan, do nothing and hope the problem will just magically disapear? I’m genuinely curious to know.
Well apparently people keep spending, cause I see a thread on the new Korg bundle that people have bought...

Well those that are spending are saying they are ok with the current situation and state of the game....
Anybody care to say anything?
Is this the improved communication and transparency we were promised by YOU????
I dont want to hear any complaints from any of the guys that just spent £40 on 10 crystals either, you are a big a part of the problem as they are.
This is linguistically hilarious. But I suppose only to people who enjoy very meta humor.
