Yes, it seemed like a great way to get shards before it was fixed. What actually went through my mind was: I better grind as many of these as I can if I want to stay a top level player.
Poor judgement for a top level player! Play Plat 1 and our leader made sure we didn't exploit it. If you've played the game long enough you should have known you couldn't get away with it. On the bright side... Enjoy your week off 😂
OK. So alot of people here are saying that they didn't know that it was a bug or something. Are you dumb? It was very obviously a bug. Banning the players was a bad play on Kabam's part, but don't go running around the forums screaming you didn't know. Cuz everyone knows you knew. An alliance mate got banned for this and he knew 100% this was a bug. You can complain about Kabam's chose of banning was unfair, but don't say you didn't know. Cuz you knew
Comparing this to stealing is ridiculous. The first run didn’t cost money. You’re playing a game, if it lets you do something without hacking then you’ve played within the parameters that the maker put out. If Kabam didn’t want it to happen then they should test their product better. All they’re doing with this is crushing alliance members for war in the middle of a season. I wasn’t around to play, my account wasn’t affected except for losing teammates. This kangaroo court is shenanigans.
Whether the game allows it or not doesn't matter. It was a CLEAR exploit. And by playing the game you agree to follow the TOS which states your account can be punished for such things. Tell your alliance mates to stop cheating.
I’m pretty sure the terms of service don’t state if you can do something on a new quest, don’t do it. It’s called treasure island, go get that treasure. Again, if the game freely allow you to do something then you’re playing within the parameters of the game I.e. not cheating.
Well screw you KABAM. Yes people took a chance by YOUR mistake, after all the stuff you threw at us,from very heavy content to get miserable rewards,to constant bugs. You deserved all that people done now and I hope you lose a very large amount of ftp and ptp players because you are not larger than the community. You could've just removed the rewards and put maybe 1 or 2 day ban,but you intend to take all the rewards, and all the rewards from that week you put this ban on,which are worth far more than few ag and shards, which is again YOUR fault. So what some people duped 1-3 5* big of a deal, and now you intemd to remove that, what is left of rewards and take away the war rewards,aq rewards, calendar rewards?!?! F you the whole Kabam crew!
This isn’t even the first time kabam have banned people for exploiting things... why you all acting so surprised.
Because it's inconsistent. If you want to use banning as a method of punishment for all violations of the TOS, then you can't excuse smaller instances of exploiting.
This a complete and totally intellectually dishonest argument.
force closes aren't punished like this is because it's because it's gaining items and unlevelling the playing field. Saving 1 revive at the cost of half your health isn't comparable to gaining several AGs or thousands of 6* shards. I know that you know this.
We have real world examples as we, such as a misdemeanors and felonys, and different punishments even within the subgroups.
Even if we go down your road, it's well within Kabams rights to enforce the TOS as it sees fit.
Force closing doesn't always take half your health. Even if it's minor, it's still a TOS violation.
I'm not disagreeing in that quitting out is on the same level as farming. However, both are still violations and should be treated as such.
I recognize that I have no say in how Kabam treated its violations, but all I can say is that the way they're doing things is messy.
My solution? Punish each and every instance of bug exploits, whether it be force-quitting, farming, character bug exploits, etc. Why should the smaller violations go unpunished?
If we don't put jaywalkers in jail, we're hypocrites for putting murderers in jail, is your argument? That in your perfect world there's no room for judgment or discretion or practical considerations? Its just legal, or illegal, and nothing in between?
That's a false interpretation of what I said.
Yes, murderers belong in jail because they committed a crime. However, jaywalkers shouldn't go to jail because their crime wasn't as big, however, they should still be punished since they committed a crime, hence a ticket or fine of some sort.
Violations are violations and they should all be punished unless there is a reasonable explanation as to why such a violation was committed.
Except no municipality punishes all jaywalkers, even when the violation happens right in front of a police officer. I'll grant that I should have said that jaywalkers should be cited not jailed as a legal technicality, but the rest still stands. You're saying that all municipalities are hypocrites, because they don't stop and punish *all* violations of the law the moment they are witnessed, without regard to priority or practicality.
More directly, no municipality enforces the speed limit. Everyone knows the cops won't pull you over for doing 2 mph over the limit. But speeders do get tagged. So should their defense be that since the guy who was doing 57 in a 55 zone wasn't tagged, they shouldn't expect that doing 85 in a 55 zone would get him tagged?
Hey, why not? If you want to enforce laws, why not enforce all violations of the law? Why should some people be let off while others aren't? Everyone should be punished, but with varying degrees of intensity of course.
As I recall, Kabam stated that they had not meant for the corvus incursion's trick to work as it did since it allowed you to get through hella rooms. Lagacy knew this and still did it in his livestreams, no ban there. I will accept the ban as I did get extra sigs but I just wish I had known it was against ToS. Hopefully Kabam can do some better testing on their servers before releasing new content, and I definitely won't be going anywhere near a bug again which I see is the intended effect of the ban lol.
Ok, hear me out before ya'll get pre-annoyed and let me explain a personal take on this. I got the key and entered the quest. As usual, I took a look around and seen as I had my best champs free from AQ I decided to take the closest path to the start that I felt least comfy with which was the Thing/Kingpin path. That was sigstones, 100% meh for me, I have 100s in my stash. I am by far from a hugely skilled player so that path gave me a pretty good challenge and the Weapon X boss saw me use some resorces to get through, I know, like I said, not the best player. After I'd completed it I thought I'd go back in and look at how many other 4* chests there were to see how risky it was going to be to chance futer keys on that kinda reward if I was going to have to fight Weapon X every time,I really didn't wana get sig stones again so was considering chosing a key difficulty down for the next day.
I saw the gate had stayed unlocked and I was pleased because it meant I could get practise on those fights without having to worry about using energy or loosing out on anything, happy days. I managed to do the 3 fights and got to the boss but it wasn't Weapon X this time which I was actually a lil annoyed about as I was looking forward to the practise. I finished Wolverine and oh, more sig stones, still don't need them, but, that's pretty cool they're doing that. I wondered if the boss would be Weapon X next time so went back in to practise on Thing, Kingpin and Weapon X, but, again, it wasn't Weapon X (but I did get a kicking from Thing this time lol) but there were more sig stones. As far as I was concerned, I was outa my depth for the most part but I assumed the miniscule reward of sigstones was just what you would get for getting through that kind of content.
Now, at no point were we told that this was not intended untill the quest was removed and I came here to see why it had gone. It was a mistake on Kabams part and to punish a genuine mistake with a 7 day ban is SO overkill it's stupid.
A 7 day ban equates to: *Loss of the end of the Summoner Apreciation log in calander. *Loss of AQ rewards that just finished. *Loss of a full AQ and all rewards associated with that. *Loss of the AW that just started. *Loss of 7 keys for the monthly side event. *Loss of 7 days worth of energy towards EQ. *Loss of a paid for Sigil and all associated benefits. *Loss of Summoner Advancement rewards that had just finished. *Loss of the whole alliance in the current AW. And more. All that for a mistake that was not on my part. I've spent money on this and years of time and now I'm facing losing all that, as well as my place in my alliance because of some sig stones! I understand there has been people braghing about forming 6*s and posting pictures of Awakening Gems which is obviously an explotation but I did this with no intention of 'breaking the terms of service' yet everyone is being treated as if everyone of us stood to gain MASSIVELY from something we absolutely knew was not intended which just is not the case.
For the people that bragged and chose to exploit it, I get it, people are annoyed and Kabam want to make an example but to treat everyone the same is not fair at all. I would happily have those 'rewards' of sigstones taken back and be able to run the path over and over with no rewards, I just liked the practise fighting those champs with those health pools, and, Weapon X!
But, for wanting to practise, all the above will be lost.
Kabam this legitimately makes me sad. I am a throne breaker, I spend money on this game monthly, but I’m not going to put up with this. You’ve been moving in the right direction, but I am no longer going to continue on this painstaking roller coaster with you. You will be missed. Goodbye.
So because you are a throne breaker you should be allowed to cheat? Grow up.
168hrs for 10, 12, 15 AG's or few k units is nothing. Still... LOL :P
Actually Kabam is removing all the extra items so...
What about the people that used some? I know people that got 5 or 6 awakening gems and used then knowing Kabam screwed up. Will they roll back the champs as well?
Pretty sure no one was getting 6* awakening gems as that isn't one of the items obtainable from this SQ..
Kabam make mistake and players maked a mistake too.
Kabam's employees and MCOC players are not answerable to each other. Some Kabam designer made a horrible mistake and they are answerable to their employer. Some MCOC players made a horrible mistake and they are answerable to the game operators. But Kabam's design error doesn't cancel out the players' exploit error.

But it was stated that you could only get rewards once per path per key. You can check the Side Quest thread to see for yourself.
i agree, i can understand banning people who exploited massively but running it 2 or 3 times for practice or for not realizing doesn’t deserve a one week ban, like at that point just remove the rewards instead slapping a week ban on someone with innocent motives
Hey Kabam This ja actually A little bit unfair to ban account because You made a mistake ... this is super crazy to punish players for Yours poor work . Here is the screenshot Please note : this is not a claim against ban , only notification how You behave .
Let’s say someone left their house unlocked when they left to get groceries. That does NOT make it okay for you to go in and steal all of their things. It’s even more ridiculous when you tell the authorities that you shouldn’t be punished because it was their mistake leaving their house unlocked. You knowingly violated the tos, therefore you get punished.

Basically, Kabam is the Brinks truck driver that left the rear door open, and money is flying out the back...
Those honest people that found the issue that it was exploitable and reported it, should keep the 1 extra reward, and should not be banned.
Those that were greedy and went nuts should have all the rewards removed, and banned from the event.

It seems other ideas is a way to loose players ans to hard top launch by devs (and recognize the internal mistake).
Don't forger that messages can ne deleted without opening and don't seems to be contractuals.
I would prefer Kabam fix some other bugs instead
