Great post, also here are my thoughts -I have been here since 7 years playing the game since it released, there have been massive changes in the game economy and the content available and the I have seen the transformation of the complexity taking place. Complexity and attention to detail scaling in a good way I mean. But there are crystals in the game which have still not been changed/upgraded to scale with current economy, few mechanics like the mastery system still not revamped. Everything is still heavily RNG based, even for hard content that you "work" really hard for. For a while the RNG dependence is valid, but I think some aspects of the game where the RNG is not needed at a certain level of progression example the t4cc crystals and trade in crystals can be changed(this is just one example). Another resource being Gold - This is something farmable from playing arena and daily objectives, but still feel that the amount that a casual player gets is far less than the desired amount that should be available freely in the current state and progression tier. I am gonna thank Kabam for when they have listened to us and made massive changes but it just feels like sometimes they don't learn from their own mistakes. They keep coming back with un-necessary design changes and complicated questing styles (example this month's gated SQ), I just don't understand why. I want this game to last longer and I want more people to play. One thing I see is that if we decrease the amount of absurd tasks the player has to do every month to get some rewards which are not that great and instant disappointment if you get a bad pull as a free to play player, we actually give room to players to try out the new champions who are out now and mess around with them and actually like 'playing with the champs and enjoy the animations' than just grinding out some events which are not that fun. As for the fact that people are leaving the game or not - You should check the recruitment groups on Discord and Line. Some on whatsapp as well. There are more retirement/seme-retirement allys than ever. And the worse thing is they keep posting ads for recruitment in these allys, and I see players leaving the groups in large numbers every month. Some of them do end up coming back, but this is just a bad trend to avoid and shows something needs to change.
It bothers me that this post has so many agrees, so many views, has been featured by content creators on YouTube, an has been talked about yet there is no response.
This is a forum for players to communicate with the devs about the game an changes we want, and what we don’t like etc. yet, as time goes on, this is becoming a place that we come to to just talk amongst each other.
All we have are updates on bugs (that never get fixed or create more bugs) an the forum postings for nexts months event with Uber insane difficulty for mediocre rewards.
A post with this about of reaction on such important topics within the game that is making or breaking the player base should be receiving a comment or something.
So you agree that all other months, Cav MEQ's should have lesser rewards because they have been overwhelmingly easy? We finally get a difficult fight in Cav MEQ and rewards need to be increased?

Kabam Mike (yes I know I spelled it wrong but I don't feel like teaching my phone keyboard dictionary how to misspell a name I might need to spell correctly in other communication) has said in the past this is mainly a place for us to talk to and help each other and provide feedback or bug reports for the game team but isn't really a place for regular communication between us and them the way most of us want it to be. I think it should be a place for much more 2 way communication between us and them but don't think they want it that way.
200% agree. Even being the leader of an alliance, every day I keep on wondering "why am I still playing this frustrating game ??" I'm getting close to the " I quit" day 🙏
With the bugs, people refuse to admit it, but there is a psychological factor. People naturally make mistakes and look for xcuses. The input bug is a nice big target that allows people to cope guilt-free.
...This is a fact.
I definitely have sympathy for players who "Actually" are facing/faced these bugs. But I extremely despise the players who blame their impotence on the bugs which are not even there. And these individuals are countless. Disagree button here ⬇️
Lmao…
I guess we all just imagine this is failing 30% of the time!… go ahead and one shot a boss with this happening… it’s weird how I can see the word but not the stun… man I have a stong imagination, this definitely shouldn’t get fixed after six months
Stupid me and my excuse while beating every single piece of content released
This is hands down the best post to ever grace the forums. It sums up everything regarding the state of the game extremely well and highlights just how far Kabam have fallen.
Very well said!!! Now......... Hopefully they listen and not blow off every single valid point you made.
Tick tock.....
They can’t really do anything that would make people happy. At some point they just have to decide to make what they can. The game is almost irreparably broken. If they stop making content to address the issues, people leave and complain there’s nothing to play. If they release content while the game Is broken they get people mad they’re releasing without proper testing, but people continue to play. They can’t fix it while adding new content because the new content generates new interactions with the bugs they currently have or creates new ones. Seems a lot like nothing can be done at this point. It’s been almost six months and the things that were said to be getting worked on are worse then they were when they started… I wish my game functioned as well as it did when I was livid about the state of the game during summer of pain.
A very well written post, agrees with many of my concerns with the game.
I think that my biggest gripe with Kabam is their mentality, or at least the mentality that I perceive them to have: laxity, or complacency. Most of the issues that I face broadly fall into this category:
1) Content is regularly released in a state that’s not even fit for alpha testing, let alone a global release, admittedly V8 is an extreme example of this, but it does demonstrate just how little testing, if any took place. I can’t fathom how even a single QA doing a single path completion run would have missed the X-Force and Venompool issues.
2) Champions are regularly imbalanced with the likes of Hercules at one end and Maw on the other. It’s also fairly common for them to have major parts of their kits not working as intended.
3) Basic quality of life improvements are considered to be major achievements whereas really they should just be a matter of course update as the game progresses and develops. Things like easier access to the overflow would be wonderful but when there was an update to the item inventory tab it was overlooked and a crystal shortcut was installed despite it being on the main menu ribbon anyway, why? Laxity. This should be overflow, not crystals This is just a small example but it shows the lack of thought that seems prevalent.
4) Crystal bundles regularly have the wrong drop rates, for sold items this is a real concern, and in every case this costs Kabam money because the player gets another set of crystals with correct drop rates.
On the complacency side we have the communications aspect, by annual dev diaries with objectives that slide regularly, and the majority of forum interactions with Kabam employees are a combination of glib remarks to concerns or random congratulations for pulling a champion from a crystal. Now I realise that the forum staff bear the brunt of the players’ ire at the current state of the game and are probably worn down from having to defend this sort of thing on a daily basis but in an eight hour day I’d expect more than what we get.
There are a plethora of reasonable requests that don’t even get acknowledged; such as masteries, which have long been in need of an overhaul in terms of the UI and cost, something which has been begged for by a huge portion of the player base but is adroitly with brushed under the carpet by the powers that be.
There are things that I think Kabam have balanced very well; primarily around the monetisation of the game. The only real areas that this can be seen is brute forcing content and champion acquisition, and the prestige race. Ultimately there does have to be a benefit to spending and it is something that has been balanced very well in my opinion. I’m contesting for Masters AW, yet I only spend maybe £20 on 4th July and BF, for example.
The art department never fail to deliver either, whether a champion is a god or a noodle you can be sure that they will look amazing either smashing champions or gently tickling them.
10k views, there's no way a dev hasn't seen this just ignoring
They do see it, obviously, they just don't know what to say about it. There may be an official letter in the future, give them time. (About, let's say, 4 to 5 months or so).
The question now is how much is the situation repairable. I think we can't realistically expect the ISO/gold to be fixed immediately, but in next months it is possible to release a more balanced content. That change is doable, proof for that being the speed of bugfixing we have seen once a bug has been spotted.

A lot of the issues are very simple fixes, certainly the resource related ones: increase the ISO you get from 5* dupes to 48 T5 and the 6* to T6 ISO. That alone would increase access to gold and ISO enough to offset it enough that it’s no longer the pinch point, which I don’t think it was ever intended to be.

I think it isn't that simple. I agree that ISO comes in insanely low amounts, however there always has to be some limiting resource. It's in every game. And you need to strike a balance between multiple resources, so that they limit you about equally. If you give way more iso (and I pray this happens), suddenly the situation shifts and t5b becomes the gauge. Then give more t5b and it's t4cc, then it is again 6* shards and so on. Besides, this much iso would brutally change how our rosters looks. I for example have 15+ champs waiting for iso only in the "5/6* go-to champ" zone. That is followed by countless 2-5* I can rankup, just have no ISO and limited gold.
The point is, that ISO needs balancing and careful approach. Some change is needed but if they wanna remove the problem and not just transfer it somewhere else, it is gonna be difficult

Well Said OP
So tell me how I'm wrong? Cav MEQs have not lived up to what they're supposed to have been. It's some of the most boring content in the game next to AQ. They put a terrax fight in the 2.1 and all the sudden they difficulty is exponentially increased and we deserve increased rewards? So that obviously means the rewards were to high before that terrax fight right? Make it make sense for me.
Currently there’s been 395 responses. If you exclude the LOLs who likely agree with the post but you can’t really confirm they are, there’s 18 disagrees and the 374 that agree or responded favourably about the post.

Are you crazy?! That would unbalanced the game economy beyond repair! /sarcasm

The lack of creative, inventive side quests etc... It is so grindy and redundant now , I feel like I should be getting paid to play.
