Good. Never saw the issue people have with this. Its gonna be a natural transition like every time before. Your 6* aren't suddenly obsolete and the game have to progress somehow. I like it
Lol this guy the video dropped at drops an 2 mins later you have a post you couldn't have even watched it just seen 7 stars etc oh oh let me be the one getting this on the forums 1st
The bombshell was big enough, that I couldn’t see the video. The jaw was on the floor.
Same old tricks, little creativity. Would be nice to see Ascension detailed before 7-stars are launched. Feels like just another rarity to chase, which I don't really have any interest in.
I'm not for it. Not sure why they can't introduce only Ascension and Relics and really flesh out those 2 aspects. Another rarity just feels uninspired.
there isn’t even content difficult enough for rank 4 six stars, and rank fives aren’t even achievable in the game yet. So why the hell are they adding seven stars now?
I for one and very turned off. It feels far too soon to me. I have zero intetest in building another roster. Once 7* release my 6* will die where they are. I had to stop ranking my 5* because 6* rankups are so costly. There's no doubt the cost of 7* rankups will be double that of 6* champs. And for people struggling to find gold and iso for rankups this will get far worse. I never have gold or iso. I let t2a and t5b expire quite often because I just can afford to rank champs up to burn all the t2a and t5b I have.

Because the 7*s will appear in the game, to fight, in November.
To add to this conversation, we have an entire blog post. It contains a lot more than just 7-Stars.
We know it's a lot of information, but there's some exciting things in there!
Could you share with us a glimpse of the border? I’m really interested to see which colour / style you guys went for. And what about the stars? Did you just chuck another star on the frame or did you guys go about it another way? Lastly, can you shed some light on the new mechanic?

Commercially driven as always, they aren’t doing this thinking about their customer base. Ive not seen anyone asking for 7* or relics for that matter.
Sadly I will no longer play competitively nor spend a lot once they are released. Relics for prestige and 7 stars.....too greedy for me. This Whale is done.
As the title says, I'm gonna be sharing my thoughts on 7 star champions and what I feel regarding the future of this game that I love.
I started playing MCOC all the way back in 2014 when it first released and although I did take a few breaks, I have still spent many years developing and progressing my roster. One of the things that originally drew me to this game was the ability to form a massive roster of characters from the Marvel universe and fight with them. 5* champs were released pretty early on in the game's life so I didn't think much of them as it just felt like another form of power progression. When 6*s were released, I was hesitant about the way the game was moving forward but I accepted the fact that my roster would reset as it meant the game would continue growing.
With the release of 7*s however, I feel like my roster was just shot in the chest. I understand that Kabam plans on extending the duration of our current rosters with the new ascension mechanic, but that is still just putting a band aid on the problem. Knowing that 7* champions are coming means knowing that all of my existing roster, which I spent hours grinding shards for, hours farming resources for, will be made redundant at some point in the future. Kabam say that they want to respect our existing roster with this mechanic, but I feel like the purpose of ascension is to just lessen the blow to the community and the backlash they are going to receive.
I am vehemently against the idea of 7*s, not only because this means our rosters will eventually be reset, but because this means that the only way for the game to progress is to continue adding a new rarity of champions, and repeating the same grind for a champion in a new rarity. I appreciate the fact that Kabam at least thought of respecting our rosters, but this is still a terrible idea in my humble opinion. This is only made worse by the fact that there is still no improvement in the method of obtaining champions and it's still 100% rng dependent. Heck, we still haven't heard a whisper about the wish crystal which was revealed over a year ago.
To conclude, I feel that 7*s are a bad idea and are a kick in the face for people who have spent countless hours developing their 6* rosters as it means that they will eventually be useless in endgame content (albeit a little bit later than 5*s were redundant). Furthermore, I think that the reveal of 7*s has really ruined the future of the game for me, and I'm sure countless other players as this sets the precedent that the only way for the game to move forward is to add new rarities of champions and make your current roster useless.
I wish that Kabam had instead made relics the next things players had to collect as I'm sure that would've been met with way more optimism and that would've truly meant that they respect our rosters.
Anyways, these are just thoughts from an 8 year player of the game who's invested countless hours on this game. You're free to disagree, these are just my thoughts and opinions
