I thought we was gonna stop with gifting and only gift ourselves or did I totally misread it?
They've said they'd still allow gifting consumables like potions and stuff like that but no more gifting the big crystals (Greater Banquet in this case). I also believe they said this will be the lasting gifting EVER but don't quote me on that
Get rid of cav crystals, t4 cats, scrap and additional gold and iso in greater banquet crystals now. That is such a slap in the face to spend 300 units on one of those to get something that terrible..
This event looks to be even worse than the previous gifting event. This is going to push a ton of players away from the game.
What is your reasoning? This looks like the best one yet by a long shot. Better rewards all-around and the nomination alliance thing is a really clever and fun idea.
Multiple reasons.
1. I have always defended Kabam and leaning towards spenders win. I get that it’s a business and they have to make money. This is too much. Anyone that looks at these rewards and feel excited need serious help. Unless you drop $10k plus, you’re not getting the top rewards. I hope you all realize this. 2. Battlegrounds is the best game mode right now. I spend a little, sure, but I still feel that I have a fighting chance to get into the top 100 or so. These rewards are going to make it nearly impossible for those of us that are still growing our rosters in hopes of competing without spending an INSANE amount of money. These rewards take all the chance of the majority of players being able to compete. If it was still skill matters like it does now, fine. The next 3 seasons of battlegrounds will be dominated by the spenders until everyone else can start to catch up a bit. But by then it won’t matter much because a lot of players will just quit. 3. This event does seem fun if you are realistic. Even so, the rewards themselves from the crystals aren’t game breaking. My issue lies with the ranked rewards. The top 30 spenders get 13 nexus crystals, 5 awakening gems, 3 max sig 6*, 6 5*+ relics and 7 r4+ champs. That’s not even counting th me crystal or alliance rewards. How does this balance the game in any way, shape or form?
Call me a whiner or whatever, but I love battlegrounds and this event ruins the next chunk of seasons, unless you plan to spend an insane amount. I could go on, but what is the point.
I guess I just don’t understand the argument that casual spenders should be able to easily compete with people that spend $10k+. That’s a lot of money. Those people should get an advantage.
You said it yourself, this advantage only lasts a few seasons.
So we’re going to say this event is terrible because people that spend a lot of money get a temporary advantage that displaces 30-100 players a notch down the ladder?
Well, sorry for those small fish. But for the other couple million people; this event is awesome.
I hope that the Scrap is at least a big ammount of it like idk, 100k-200k, because depending on who gets the scrap, it is a decent reward or its trash, and I hope the gold and ISO works as always and it isnt really the third reward, so you get gold, gold and ISO, or gold, ISO and ISO.
But if it is like that, I hope its at least 1million + gold, and ISO worth the same amount.
Scrap?! It better at least be a large amount! Scrap rewards range between 50,000 and 500,000.
@_Pez_Can we get the odds associated with the greater banquet items (or does that come later) It will be available in game once the event starts; with this many items it makes this post look very messy.
If youve not been part of the alliance for 14 days and you buy some banqueting crystals. Will they count for alliance score from day 1? Will you only get the alliance milestone rewards after your 14 days are up? Or should you wait 14 days, and you will both be able to participate and earn milestone rewards at the same time.
I feel like most of the places that have the 2>3 rank up gems should instead have some increment of r4 materials. I usually spend a good amount of units and finish at least top 10% and i’m not going to get any r4 mats from rank rewards? I have 14 r4s and 60 r3s. I’m running out of champs i want to r3 i don’t want a 2>3 gem..
For the grumbles about this event, I think we need to have some perspective. - The most important thing to remember is that this is a free to play game, and there’s no additional content locked behind money gates other than the sigil, which is negligible. This game has the biggest IP in the world and has a large staff to run it - how do you think they keep the lights on? Game designers and artists don’t come cheap. - The second thing is that in the grand scheme of things, there’s less than 10,000 players, at the very most, that these ranked rewards truly affect. That’s assuming that the top 150 AQ alliances (4500 players), and top 50 AW alliances (1500 players) have totally separate sets of players, and there’s no crossover - which obviously there is enormous crossover. It doesn’t matter to anybody not in the prestige race about someone in TCN getting an R5 a few months ahead of you. It doesn’t matter to anyone outside of T1-2 AW about facing an R5 defender. - Do I find it a bit distasteful that someone spends £10k+ at the drop of the hat on a game? Sure. I wouldn’t myself, but I don’t have £10k in loose change down the side of my sofa, perhaps if I did my opinion would be different. There’s players from all over the world from different backgrounds playing this game. Some are poor, some are rolling in money.
This event alone probably funds most of MCoC’s overheads for the year and with this being the last event of this type they’re sacrificing a large source of easy income.
Scrap?!?! SCRAP?!?! This is already the worse event of the year. Why in good God would I want scrap from these crystals?! What an absolute friggin rip. That is disgusting.

@tyedge Are points earn applied to both Solo and Alliance Events?
Yes.
If my account doesn't meet the requirements currently, but crosses those thresholds during the event, can I participate then?
Also, yes.
But if it is like that, I hope its at least 1million + gold, and ISO worth the same amount.
Happy gifting everybody wish y all 6* Jessica
You will, with 99% certainty, have to purchase the items for the event.
There's a 3rd item... like scrap....
