Hi Summoners. Please maintain your own expectations in this short wait.
Cool you guys are doing absolutely nothing. This season is going to be absolute hell and I’m going to end up quitting the game. (Now anything they actually do to help is a bonus).
We have been aware of and monitoring this situation. We hear your concerns.
The game team has devised a plan to address concerns around the restrictiveness of the meta and it's impact on Alliance Wars. We will have thorough communications and planning laid out for you all soon; we're aiming for tomorrow.
Please maintain your own expectations in this short wait.
Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
I find it so bizarre that classic Storm was omitted from the attack tactic roster. She’s one of the best bullseye counters out there if you’re willing to take chip damage, she would help out so much in nuking him down before things get out of hand
any testing would immediately show that it's broken so this was shipped untested or it's unplayable on purpose.
with 4 broken defenders in 4 months, back-to-back unplayable globals, and the creation of an elite tier, it's obvious what's happening and we'd like to know where we stand. are you creating a mode meant for 5 teams at best and discarding everyone else? is this the new norm going forward?
I don't understand how this continues to happen every time a new tactic is introduced. Why isn't anything tested beforehand?
I think it’s even funnier how it’s not solely an aw issue either. This happens constantly with battlegrounds every time a new set of nodes is put in place.

you play in one of the top 2 teams, right? what do your mates think of the shift in war?

We thought the last tactic was ok after the taunt buff. This tactic was aight until we realized there were quite literally some impossible to beat placements. Polka bullseye was one where after he threw one sp1 the power gain would give another sp1. We also didn't care for the fact that this current tactic couldn’t be taken with non tactic attackers. We are just waiting to see what the changes are to this.

The first answer we need is, will the season start in a week or not? Officers are already planning for defender upgrade, things could be very different if tactics will be changed
Thinking out loud. If you reverse the triggers - dex triggers prowess and any miss or block (including parry) triggers indestructible, that should solve a large chunk of fundamental issues, right? Namely blocking an unblockable or having to block on stunning reflection.

Finally.. and thank u for listening to us.. guys make it fun not add to stress
it just flat out doesn't work most of the times ... the tactic attacker is supposed to pause the timer when striking the defender .. sometimes it works .. sometimes it doesn't .. and when it doesn't yeah poop. "well timed blocks" are supposed to remove the passive .. sometimes it does .. sometimes it doesn't ... and when it doesn't ... more poop.
so if they can't guarantee these action specific things are going to work as they are intended to work .. LEAVE THEM OUT OF NODES.

Worse than that, even all the issues you described are gone, there are plenty of fights are nearly impossible

Thanks Jax,
can you also forward this message to the team?
While you check the restrictiveness of the node, can you also address the fact that you made a defense global that punishes miss and then added to the attack pool some attackers that rely on miss? It's just nonsensical. Tried to use the hood he was trash. And I really like the champ. I was happy he was global... but then even when he's global attacker he can't deal with global defenders... this is just bad design. Furthermore, where are the answers to regen nodes exactly? Take void out of the picture (there are 3 bans right?) what do you even use? I don't even wanna start debating hazard shift. I read in this thread about horseman stryfe with odin prefights. How many conditions need to be met to clear a single path? How many champs and players do you have to commit to a single placement on a single path? Because the pool doesn't give you the answers to deal with all this. If the nodes gets reworked in a way you can play around it with any champ, that's one thing. Otherwise, there's just too many flaws in its entire concept. Starting from the interaction between global and local nodes, moving forward to the interaction between global node and global defenders (for example ain't it nice to parry gorr a ton?) and finally reaching the weird pool of attackers that has too many champs that are not viable for anything and very little to no answers to many defender placements.

also true. and that's a big IF these issues do disappear ... but i'd rather a functioning fight with the chance to strategize properly .. but even proper strategy fails under these conditions.

I really hope they delay the season and figure something out. Had they done that season 46, they probably wouldn’t have had to tone crush down for season 47 if they listened to the feedback at the time. Do I expect them to? No. But it would be nice. We realize you have a schedule, but we’d like a properly finished product.

Season reschedule isn’t that big deal, they delayed war season for many times a year ago.

It hasn’t been in the past except with season 46 when most people wanted a break and they were adamant because of a “schedule”…. On top of that, crush was pretty bad when first introduced as well. They should extend off season, but I think they’re going away from doing that.

I guess they probably are considering bg season overlaps with aw season, but bg alliance rewards are not attractive for most alliances, so it doesn’t really matter that much.
Anyhow, this tactic should never have been released, if they eventually made significant changes, they really should extend the off-season because season prepare takes a lot of time for big alliances
At this point just make the indestructibles active buffs and that's it. Yeah, it would probably make it a lot more easier, too easy for some but considering the amount of heavy stuff and hard defenders that came out lately I think everyone could use a couple of months easy AW.

Would make Destroyer more relevant as a global attacker as well 🤔

Considering Jax’s response about expectations, I’m not too excited. The whole response seems like it was made begrudgingly (which they have a lot going on, I get that). But the fact the tactic was even allowed to be released in the first place is pretty inexcusable. I’m not optimistic based off of that response that we get anything but an expanded pool? Guess we will see. Would be so easy to do the right thing, admit maybe they’re going in the wrong direction with war tactics since this is 2 in a row that they’ve had to tweak due to issues with them, and extend offseason to work on it. Will that happen? Absolutely not.
They wanted to make AW and other game modes more engaging and fun by using our brains to figure out the puzzle. All they could achieve the past year was frustration. but also a fun and engaging time in forum threats with how much they are out of touch with 99% of the player base. All tnx to no proper bug fixes, on old game issues, BS defenders with non-unavoidable dmg/turning out masteries, non-tested Globals, nodes, and challenges. At this point is more fun to read posts in forums, than watching some YouTube videos or playing the game.
This whole situation would be a great topic for a future live stream. Let the team that put this together and rolled it out explain what they were thinking, how they expected players to deal with it, and how much testing they did of the global nodes combined with the individual quest nodes and the champ pools they set. There are a lot of valid questions (miss champs in the tactic pool, how to deal with unblockable nodes and champs and stunning reflection when you have to block, etc.) that would be great for the team to address.
I want to believe a lot of thought and effort and consideration goes into these seasons but someone needs to connect some dots for me to understand how we got here.

I miss CRUSH tactic 🥲
Summoners rejoice as Kabam adds 7* Scarlet Witch (Classic) to rewards for placing top 10 in AW!!!
Buried in the D block....
Kabam adds war tactic that ensures placing in the top 10 will cost those alliance members >$5,000 each.
Join us tomorrow when we discuss how Kabam made >$1,500,000 off 300 summoners in 30 days!
