LMAO @ these "high level" players that couldn't tell the difference
Kabam didn’t know either and they made the game!
Shows that some of these interactions are too obscured and inconsistent. How should players have determined that these weren’t working when you don’t know opponent masteries in arena (except for kang/thanos teams that have unknown tweaks but no known masteries) or AQ/AW and still factor in whatever magic dust gets sprinkled on CPU champs in all content that isn’t visible to players in addition to listed nodes.
I was told at one point that a "Friday news dump" wouldn't happen anymore. It'll be a really sad situation if no real info comes out before quitting time today.
The amount of dishonesty from this company is astounding. Glad they "took it to the team" as if they had no idea that selling fraudulent boosts wouldn't piss people off.
There ought to have been an announcement the minute they discovered that the boosts weren't working along with even a general statement that they would have to determine the best means of compensation. Allowing people to continue to purchase these boosts after it was known is very shady. Putting it the patch notes like it's just another routine bug fix, nothing to see here lol... not good Kabam.
And once again, this dropped on Friday. Players will keep complaining throughout the weekend, a certain known forum member will keep derailing the topic by insisting that the issue is not as big as other players are making it to be (after all, this issue doesn't affect that particular forum member much, so why care), and there won't be any official meaningful response from Kabam until Monday.
Lol... I have done the same... You know, I remember thinking at least 5-6 times, "I don't even notice a difference when I use these."
I stopped buying them for that reason. Just didn’t wasn’t seeing a difference when using them. Didn’t think it was them not working. I prefer using the other “lesser or greater power boosts.
First of all, we apologize for any confusion and frustration caused by the issue of Class Special Attack Damage Boosts not working properly, as mentioned in the 21.1 update notes. Our first priority was to identify, resolve this issue and be transparent about the upcoming fix in the update going live on Monday.
Our team understands the impact of this issue for players and is working out the details of a resolution to provide compensation for players who purchased these boosts. We appreciate your patience as we work on this and will be sure to update everyone once we have the specifics ready to share.
Thanks for the update... but players should have been informed when the issue was identified, not once the fix was ready, that's transparency.
That's why so many were taken back and upset when the fix was subtly mentioned in the changelog. In-Game mails are simple to send out informing players there is an issue, but instead the decision was made to not surface the issue and continue to let players purchase & use boosts. All the while your team knew full well they were not working correctly.

Priories should be:
1.) let player base know there is an issue once identified.
2.) while working on a fix, stop selling the broken items in the store. You still have them on sale now at this very moment.
3.) provide adequate compensation for resources spent on the broken items.
Please stop selling the items in the store until they work as intended. Many players don’t read the forums and don’t receive this information in a timely manner from their alliance mates.
Hey folks, thank you for the extra feedback here. We can understand where you're coming from, and I've mentioned that to the team. This issue was discovered quite recently, so we have not known about it for long - but I can understand your concerns re: further transparency. Regarding turning the items off in the in-game store, the team spoke about that but it's a very risky last minute change and could result in breaking something which we want to avoid. If someone is not aware of this issue and spends loyalty on these boosts, they will still be compensated so they will not be negatively impacted in that regard
Literally just used a bunch of these boosts on the champions quest that just came out. Props to whoever took the time out to see that nothing was changing and called them out on it (assuming that's what happened)
we actually discovered this one ourselves - we do do that sometimes
I used units to boost what about deaths and items used due to improper functionality this is a real bad situation
You would have only lost loyalty. There wouldn't be anything else associated with it. No units or potions.
this is correct.
Wrong...if you went into a fight that should have been easier due to boosters that in fact wasn’t, then you had a harder fight, so you potentially died more than you should have costing you potions and possibly units.
Comments
They didn't say all, they said some class boosts so you don't if it wasn't working.
Where do you see “some”?? They said said class boosts with 5%, 8%, 12% weren’t working. That doesn’t say some were working and some weren’t.
On the other hand they didn’t say “all,” so we don’t know the extent of the impact, which is why Kabam needs to provide more information.

Yeah. Considering I spent 230k loyalty in the last 4 weeks on loyalty boosts.
