I agree with the majority of people here. I have a decent 5* roster and 1 good 6* out of 5 of them but I use 4*s for synergies or specific utilities. Add to the fact that we now know that you will restrict paths to a set number of rarities and it all ends up being a recipe for disaster. It’s a bad move. It’s a money grab. Worst of all, it shows a complete disconnect from most of your players and I didn’t think it was possible for y’all to make that worse. 5*s have become more accessible, but with the pool getting larger and larger the odds of getting a decent champ decreases with each addition. The featured 5* could be a way around this except trash is added to it to balance out the decent champs. Nothing will be done about it because in the end Kabam doesn’t care.

As part of the introduction of Act 6 and Cavalier, we will also be introducing more content that will help Summoners gain 5 and 6-Star Champions. Some of that content will include, Champion Challenges, several large meta-events and Event Quests as well as, the next iteration of Back Issues. Additionally, we are taking a look at Arenas to see if we can make 5-Star Champions more accessible.
In preparation to the release of Act 6 we have accelerated the rate at which players can gain 5-Star Shards and the materials to Rank them up. Love Is a Battlerealm, Nick Fury's Recon Initiatives, special events like the Road to Greatness Arena, and Monthly Calendars were designed with 5-Star escalation in mind.
Also, we are slowly adding older Characters as 5-Star Champions, while ensuring that overall game balance is factored into the Champion selection.
The requirements in Chapter 1 are set as a primer for rest of Act 6. Act 6 Chapter 2 and beyond will also have Champion Requirements, including some more stringent ones like paths that have Class Requirements for your entire team, and Rarity requirements where you must bring [X] amount of 5-Star or 6-Star Champions to complete the quest path.

For those that agree with the 4*ban, i would love to see some videos on your beyond God tier skills at completing the content. And the idea that cheat death synergies are a cheap move to get thru content that’s also a invalid argument: why would Kabam add them if they didn’t want us to use them? You say Starky poise mechanic is a cheat for noobs? Does it not require to learn how to do it consistently enough for it to be effective? And the “Right champs” argument is also INVALID because Kabam wants us to use more of our champs and not using the same usual God tier champs
This is probably one of the worst decisions you have made as a company. going on 2 years now and my 5 and 6 * roster are pretty much trash but I've been able to use skill and strategy to fight through the game. Deciding to get rid of 4 stars all together just goes to show you dont care about the mid game community and you want to just pushing your money grubbing agenda.

Such a huge milestone... a guaranteed three star!!! Oh my god, THANKS! Now I can do absolutely nothing with that character in relation to Act 6 and likely future end-game content.
It's all stupid! Thousands of loyal players who worked hard on building up their roster to not be able to use them in the future. What about all of us that only have eight or less 5 Star Champions? Or those of us who don't even have a 6 Star Champion yet but are half way done with Act 5? So we just continue to replay the same boring long winded maps over and over again in hopes to get crystal shards that won't help us anymore?
"You can arena grind." Oh yeah, really? Have any of you at Kabam actually spent the time to grind in an arena? Do you even know how long it actually takes the average player to get over a million arena points with almost a no 5 star roster?
Do you people even play the game? Obviously not! But wait, why would anyone at Kabam actually have to play the game from scratch when all you have to do is type in that special secret account info and have access to every character with maxed abilities!
Why don't you just go in and ban 4 star champions from doing Act 1, 2 & 3 and ban 5 star champions from doing anything except Act 6 while your at it. Ban 2 and 3 stars champions from playing Act 3 or Act 4. Ban 2, 3 and 4 Stars from doing Uncollected! Why don't you just go into the game and ban every ranked star to be useless from here on out!
I'm not sitting on a stellar Roster, but it's not horrible. I even used a Skill Gem on HE and took him to R4 because my pulls are hit-or-miss. The point I'm making is in order for Act 6 to exist, it has to be harder than Act 5. 4*s carried people through Act 5. They can't be expected to do the same for Act 6. Which means we either have to make do with what we have, or wait for something else to come along. Not the end of the world. It'll still be there. No one says people have to rush out and buy every Crystal that comes. You could, if you didn't have patience. However, I find it extremely hard to believe that out of an average of let's say, 30 or 40 5*s in someone's Roster, there's not something they can use to get started on it. Again, if people are waiting around for Corvus, Ghost, or Aegon, they could be using what they have in the meantime.
I used 4* in variant aswell so dont u start with your “act 6 is harder” And second if this 4* ban does not affect you why are you trying to ruin other peoples fun in game who game is affected?

That doesn’t make any sense. 4* AA is still AA and doesn’t what AA does. Using a mediocre champ in place of a AA when AA is needed doesn’t make any sense.

You are not hearing the feedback, bc it has been all about how by denying the use of 4* you are removing strategy from the game as well as targeting on skilled players by denying them the option to further complete content
Adding to these you will further hurt at least 90% of the community by denying access with 6* barrages, which is obvious targeted to money spenders
The last thing cant be denied, since to get a solid roster of 5-6* champs you dont just need "skill" you need ways to get shards and then luck to pull viable champs, in a basic pool the odds at pulling one champ is less than 1% whuch diminishes every 2 weeks.
You will say, well there are the featured 5* crystals abd while that is truth 60-70% of the champs in those are not solid pulls, ~25% of those are maybe useful for certain things and only around 5% are great champs that can guarantee clearing content.
So the more shards you get the bigger the odds at pulling a desired champ, and while there are ways to get those shards in a balanced way, the spenders and ytubers whom seek attention will easily buy units to get crystals with featured champs and that will by itself add to their shards

There has been some uproar. Act 6 has been hyped for weeks now, big is in the disappointment that Kabam have put champion requirements. Many speak of the end of the 4*. But is that necessarily bad? Let me start with a story.
As everyone else, I started this game a year ago with two 1*: Spider-Man and Wolverine (Iron Man was another option). In the beginning I levelled them up, but from the moment I got my first 2* I abandoned them quite fast. I didn't mourn them, I knew that was the natural progression of the game.
As I ranked my 2* up to rank 3, I got my first 3*, Winter Soldier. Costs to level-up 2* were growing and it was economically more efficient to invest my precious gold and ISO-8 into Winter Soldier rather than my Black Panther (Civil War), which I loved playing with very much (yes, I know he's technically thrash but foolish newbie me liked his animations and he did get the job done). I didn't mourn them, I knew that was the natural progression of the game.
To progress in the game as fast as possible, I levelled-up the strongest of my 3*. I abandoned my Winter Soldier at 2/20, in favor for Hyperion, Mephisto and Stark Spidey. But progress also meant I was getting my first 4*. These were Red Hulk, Bishop and Taskmaster. As I maxed out my strongest three, I start to switch more and more to 4*. My awakened Hyperion lasted the longest, I even used him in AQ, but as soon as I got a 4* Hyperion he was condemned to the dust bin as well, only to be used as arena fodder. I didn't mourn them, I knew that was the natural progression of the game.
4* are a curious tier. They were long the highest tier. Then came 5* and now even 6*. The progression of this game is relentless. It is normal for 4* to share the same fate as 3*. If Kabam banned 3* from Act 5, would anyone protest? No, as the realisation that 3* is not part of anyone's roster when going for uncollected is evident. Neither should 4* when players are going for Act 6
So why do players resist? Nostalgia, partly, but it is deeper. The game shifts towards synergies, and gave 4* a second life. I do think Kabam is to blame for this, in an effort to entice players into buying more crystals, they made gameplay more dependent not only on getting that one champion once or even twice, but a whole matching set of champions. They reap what they sow: like junkies, players cannot function without their signature abilities and synergies. You could even say that players are spoiled, it is not enough to play good, but to play at maximum potential. The alternative seems impossible.
It is all folly. As Kabam makes acquiring 5* crystal shards easier and (demi) god tier champions more plentiful, the need for 4* will continue to drop in the future. 4* are a dead end street. I know it and deep down, everyone else does to.
Dear protesters full of indignation, do not be the Don Quichots fighting against wind mills. Do not be like the rusty old folks, stuck in a past that doesn't exist anymore. Do not be the flat earthers, denying reality. Embrace the progress of this game. Adapt to it. Say goodbye to your 4*.
People resist because rather than having 3 possible pools to choose from and get a champion that can counter a specific node, we are forced to only two which in some cases do have a champion missing from either of the two pools (AA, Iceman, blade, BB, Daredevil, gamora). For that reason players who are less lucky and don’t have the means overcome that luck by spending are cut at the knees. Skill doesn’t come into play because a bad champion is still a bad champion regardless of rarity. I’d rather fight a Sig 200 6* Magik with 4* AA than a double duped r1 6* Juggernaut.
When act 6 was teased at through those ingame messages you could feel the excitement rising, I was really looking forward to it, finally the concluding chapter to this storyline (or this battlerealm, whatever). But in a couple of days you guys (kabam) have, through a couple of announcements, turned that excitement into dust. The restriction of 4*’s in 6.1 is real shady move, but to top on that you actually manage to turn a so called ****storm into a steaming pile of ****storm with the announcement of some pretty vague and unclear restrictions in 6.2 6.1 hasn’t been released yet and we’re already mad about 6.2. Just.......wow........o_O
Knocks out alot of skilled ftp players who dont have crazy good 5* 6* rosters who've completed everything else. They also gonna limit it further by making some of it to where you have to have so many 6*s on your team. Unless your insanely good or pay alot your not gonna have that many good 6*s
5 star basic arena, upgrade lesser/greater solo crystals, upgrade monthly main event rewards ( been the same for over a year) then maybe we can consider it fair

@Kabam Miike, Kabam absolutely lost my support of the 4* ban with this. I mean, Act 5 release was over the course of a few months. To go from a 4* gate, to path gates of 6* is a little too much, especially if you stagger class and rarity requirements (all must be Science and 3 of this must be 6*).
6* are far too rare to put a restriction or gate of having. I can understand the 4* gates... as many players have a plethora of 5* (though maybe not ones that give the best synergies). I am sorry, but I just joined the rest of the community on this issue.
I have a huge problem with this. I have been playing daily for nearly 2 years, have a player rating of 620k and have fully explored act 5. I have 53 5* champs (and a number of them duped). I also have 5 6*s.
Of these I only have 6 5*s that people would consider really great and one amazing 6*.
My RNG luck is spectacularly bad. I am going on 4 months of useless pulls. Garbage! Or maybe I get my 3rd 5* Quake who is indeed great but that dupe doesn’t help me. I’ve amassed quantity but quality is severely lacking. And I can’t fix that even when as you say, you’ve added events to give more 5* shards.
Then I have alliance members with spectacular luck some with half the amount of 5* champs and 2-3 times as many great champs.
When they post their pulls I do my best to be happy for them and not complain about the **** i just pulled (again). And I make things work with what I have, including 4*s for synergy or in some cases for certain nodes. I figure it may cost me some extra units, but I can still compete.
And now you gate the 4*s to “save me from frustration”? Do you understand how frustrating that is? I’m literally going to wait for luck!

I already nearly quit over soul-crushing pulls, and this makes it harder to stay motivated. Understand there is a lot of pent up frustration over RNG in here. But understand you’ve just made every bad pull feel like another slap in the face because it means I’m stuck that much longer.
I know you say “don’t worry, the content will always be there.” That’s fair, but I may not be.
