I'm just going to assume it's around 100%, since I find the 300 units much more useful personally.
It is not the loss of money for the company that takes precedence. It's stopping access to the Fraud.
A- a refund wont happen from kabam you purchased it through Google play or itunes
B- as much as people want to argue it was a free gift it can be viewed either way depending on how you want to argue it. I tend to believe that it was a purchased item since it was only available by purchasing that offer
C- kabam gave compensation of 300 units for our trouble. whether we like it or not that is what they view our discomfort at this to be worth
D- no matter what your opinion people are going to argue the opposite sometimes just to see you get riled up
E- if kabam runs a gifting event in the future the best way to show your dissatisfaction with it is to not buy units. Really running any gifting event that requires the use of units is kinda defeating the purpose of removing the badge if it was being used to perpetrate credit card fraud since events like this will be when it's most exploited
Finally no reason to respond and argue against any points I've made. I have read all the repetitive posts proclaiming the glory of all that kabam does and dont really care to try to argue against the same people regurgitating the same tired statements. For those of you who continue to play enjoy the game for what it is. Those who chose to leave its been great knowing you and I look forward to meeting in the next game
Anyone who thinks buying an odin's worth of items for 40% of its value is going to know that there is some illegal activity behind it, just as you would know if someone was offering a Rolex for pennies on the dollar.
I also think Kabam takes part of the blame here, by pricing things so high in the first place. They should take a look at how much money the frauds made on their discounted items verses what they make off theirs and see how they could turn a bigger profit by taking the customers who are buying black market items back to buying them straight. I'm sure they've lost well into the 6 figures from chargebacks while the frauds have made off clean with about half that amount. Either cut prices in half or double the units given, and maybe the black market wouldn't be as lucrative as it was prior to today.
Just quit punishing us legit players who have supported you for years and allow us to send alliance items to alliance mate's during wars and AQ when needed, even refills or revives to help them finish a quest. Not everyone has money to spend on this game, but in most alliances we help each other.
That pretty much sums it up. The Gifting Badge was an added feature that people received free access to after a minimum purchase of the Loot Bag, which consisted of Units, priced the same as the regular price. It was used a very long time, and due to the fact that people completely exploited and used it to steal from others, not only in the game but outside as well, it was disabled. For this trouble, they gave 300 Units.
The Units purchased have been long-since spent, the Badge used all this time, and for having to disable it, they gave us an added 300 Units, and now people expect $30 on top of what can't be reversed. It just can't. They can't go back, take back the Units, undo all Gifts, and send everyone $30. It's just not feasible or possible.
By all means, people can say how they feel, but I won't be leaving the conversation for being the voice of reason.
