We’re sorry that this update came as a surprise. The Ability to chain into a Heavy Attack from a combo is not one that is intended for any Champion, and we have never advertised it as one (except for Wasp, who has a built in short Passive stun to ensure that she is able to do it). No Champion should be able to Combo into a Heavy attack with 100% reliability, unless explicitly stated in their Ability description.
This was not something that was listed as an ability or an exception for She-Hulk. She was not built, tuned, or tested, around this unintended interaction. This was identified as an issue and resolved.
We apologize for the confusion caused by this interaction.
And yet she has acted this way since 2016 but it wasn't convenient for you to "fix" it until now? 🤔

There would be no benefit to waiting to fix a bug. We fixed it when we became aware of it.
This explanation makes sense for bugs that negatively impact the player experience, but it might be nice to get an opportunity for feedback from the community before fixing things that had a positive impact on player experience. Just a piece of feedback.

that's patently untrue. Before she wasn't losing you money, now she is because people can beat 6.2.6 Champion with her. This is not a new function as a result of her revamp, she's been like this since 2016. So yes, there is a benefit to doing it now versus earlier.

Honestly, people should get more than an apology here, Miike.
This was a specific mechanic known throughout the community for a while and a significant attribute of the champ. You guys need to be more attuned to what is happening in game and make “fixes” like this out of the gate, not months later.
I dodged this bullet and used mine at R3 for 6.2 content. But anyone who used their hard-to-get materials on her should get them back and then some.
Dr. Zola
How do you fix something you dont know is broken, that does not make any sense.
You do it, quite simply, because running the game is your job.
Dr. Zola
So you magically fix something you dont know about "because it is your job"? um, there is no magic in this world, if you dont know something is broke you cannot fix it.
Unless you are literally a magician, magic is not your job. And there’s nothing magical about designing and administering a phone game, monitoring for quality issues, collecting data on champion use, customer progress. It’s part of the job of running a phone game.
To not know something like this is “broke,” you’d literally have to have zero knowledge that Content Creators and YouTube exist, no access to the internet, zero awareness of game data that shows players using SheHulk in end game content and probably have never opened the very game you created. Now, that would require some real magic.
Again, what are we meant to do with our other champs that can do this like OML and Doc Oc. Should we expect the same to happen to them?
No because neither can counter 6.2.6 champion and similar match ups
True but one of them can counter a certain path in the new variant very easily...
If they are going to start going after champs that can spam heavy against the wall, then that is going to be a very long list.
Exactly the point of most people in here. This is not a She Hulk exclusive ability so how are we supposed to know it’s a bug?? The least we deserve is rank down tickets

Don’t jump the gun guys, read the change log. It’s a huge part of her desirability.
She-Hulk: Fixed an issue where she could Combo into a Heavy Attack.
You should never rank up a champion becasue they can do something outside of the bounds of the game that is not specifically stated in the abilities.
this is not a nerf, it is a bug fix.
There are so many examples of ability text not being represented accurately in the game. Since this is the case they can literally call anything a bug and change it.

@Kabam Miike I understand where you are coming from, but why can’t we get a fix for the issues affecting the players? Like Ghost’s intercept being blocked/parried in AW, Corvus’ coldsnap immunity not working on freezerburn nodes, the title notification not going away for summoners sigil title, etc. Why do all the “bug” fixes seem so lopsided?
It's not like we're not trying to fix those bugs as well. Some of them are just easier to investigate/identify/fix than others. In this case, it was fixing the speed in which She-Hulk starts her Heavy attack, which was faster than all other Champions.

They all should be able to, and if they are not, that is a bug that should be reported. If you look back through the changelog, you'll see that we fix those issues when they arise. So if you see one that isn't consistently working, let us know!
This was not a mechanic of this Champion, and was not mentioned as one. All Champions have the same speed and cadence to their Attacks, and no Champion should be able to combo into a Heavy attack with 100% reliability.
Sorry this is very false. Every champion has very different attack speeds for their heavies.
I normally do not get involved in discussions like this, but I am feeling really down on the game right now. I spent the last week contemplating on who my next R5 would be, and decided to take SH to R5 (5*). I now find out two days later that she is being nerfed for the entire reason I ranked her. If feels like a completely slap in the face.
How could anyone possibly think this was a bug, when there are over 2 dozen champs in the game that currently have this exact same mechanic. Especially when Kabam just reworked the champ and had her go through an extensive beta testing with 1000s of users and then released its "final product" of her. The beta testing would have been the time for a nerf like this. Not months later after Kabam already gave her the mark of approval and released the "updated" champ to the game. It just makes no sense at all.
Now I just have no idea what to do here. If Kabam does in fact move forward with the nerf, I would think it only fair to allow anyone who ranked her up in the last month or two (since the update) to rank her down and reclaim those resources. Using me as an example here, I used a science awakening gem, 40 sig stones, a science R3-R4 2016 gem and a science R4-R5 gem (from Variant 3). 100%ing variant 3 costs me quite a bit of resources and actual money (buying units). Now it seems like all of that money and time/effort was a huge waste. It's like Kabam is just trying to remove any last bit of fun that was still left in the game.
I really hope Kabam can see this for what it is and try to make it right. Moves like this really pushes end game users away from the game.

That’s impossible. Obviously changed something of a champ that people used to determine if they would rank said champ or not. It is now being taken away. Fine if it wasn’t intended. But as a company they should offer a chance for people to rank down said champ to determine if they actually want to keep that champ at that level or not. It was a key aspect to her kit now with wasted resources. Maybe she’ll be just fine without it, but let us decide that properly.

Not the actual length of the Heavy Attack, but the time in which it takes to activate it. If you think Hyperion's is too slow, we can take a look to see if it's not working correctly.
Can I please have a rdt? Lol. Ranked her only because of her heavy to see this. This sucks, like a lot. From a skill based champ she now becomes rng trash, you just can't hit enemy enough to keep them above a bar of power without this heavy chain, wich was just perfect for her abilities. Also for all of us who ranked her for 6.2 champ, we now have ton of recourses wasted

You gotta see how this looks right? YT videos have been out for months about this when She Hulk was first used to beat 6.2 Champion as well as probably countless forum posts and reddit posts about how effective she was for that piece of end game content.
Plenty of opportunities for a mod to poke their head in and say this wasn't intended and being looked into but instead this went on for months and people used their hard to acquire rank up materials unaware until just now.
Unintended or not, communication needs to be a lot better and the transparency has been lacking for years now.

I DO understand that the white knights will all come here and say this was a YEARS old "bug" that is being fixed, but time and time again we have seen these changes happen to the detriment of the summoners (GP, NC, and now SheHulk).
This really needs to get squashed. There's no such thing as a bug that is to the benefit of the players as a whole or to the detriment of the players as a whole. The She-Hulk bug benefits *some* players, and that means it is to the detriment of all the other players. And no bug is to the benefit or the detriment of Kabam itself.
Power and difficulty in the game are relative. The content in the game is targeted at player averages. When the players get collectively stronger, the content gets more difficult and vice versa. Games like this are driven by datamining that tells the developers when they need to increase or decrease difficulty. In a real sense, the game's difficulty is graded on a curve.
When a performance bug "helps" players it only helps some players most of the time, and because content is designed on a curve, in the long run those bugs hurt everyone else. That's why bugs and exploits need to be fixed when they happen: they offer an unintended advantage to some players *over* other players who are then disadvantaged. And because difficulty is graded on a curve, that disadvantage gets ultimately translated into a real penalty over time.
The idea that any bug can "harm" Kabam in this kind of sense is ridiculous. If the players get more power than intended, Kabam just makes the difficulty higher to compensate That's what they are constantly doing anyway. In the long run, it doesn't matter to the game, or to Kabam's revenues, or anything like that. The *only* people harmed by bugs are the players. Either the bug directly harms the players in obvious ways, or it helps a subset of players in an obvious way and indirectly harms everyone else in an unobvious way.
This bug harms players. It just does so in a less obvious way. But the people thinking it shouldn't be fixed are literally like students realizing some people are getting the answers to the test by accident and doing better than they would, and cheering them on not realizing the tests are graded on a curve and every student not getting the answers is automatically getting a worse grade.
And sure, this will draw name calling and a bunch of meaningless disagrees, but if this causes even one out of a hundred people reading it to actually think about the situation instead of just blindly reacting to it, it's worth it.

Plenty of opportunities for a mod to poke their head in and say this wasn't intended and being looked into but instead this went on for months and people used their hard to acquire rank up materials unaware until just now.
Unintended or not, communication needs to be a lot better and the transparency has been lacking for years now.
