Who cares about this ****? We get 0.6% chance, woo effin hoo. How about you do something worthwhile, and update the sh***y war crystal, war loss crystal, daily crystal, solo crystal and whatnot instead of making these useless changes?
I care. About one out every five times I would have pulled a 5* or 6* champion from those crystals I'm now going to be getting a Nexus. I don't pull *lots* of 5* or 6* champs from those crystals, but I get them every so often. To have one out of five become Nexus crystals is interesting, and the way the math works out it improves the odds of pulling a specific champion from those crystals by about 40%, also a not insignificant shift in odds.
Even the 4* Nexus from the PHCs isn't a complete waste, as it increases the odds of me filling in the few 4* holes I have, or alternatively steering 4* drops into max sig crystals, which means more 5* shards.
Thank you, everyone read this and if you still have nothing positive to say about this change, just don't say it.
People have the right to voice their feedback on these changes. The fact you're trying to silence it really shows what kind of person you are.
I can't complain about free stuff, but this isn't much to celebrate for most players. I think it's safe to say that a majority of us were expecting more substantial changes when they mentioned "Crystal Updates" in the Roadmaps.
It is a positive change. That is an absolute fact that no one can argue with. Someone can say 2+2 doesn't equal 4. Doesn't mean they should.
this is a nice touch I guess, though I really doubt anyone's really buying grandmaster and cavalier crystals lol solo crystals and arena milestones (shards-wise) are in dire need of an update, not sure if anyone really cares about a super small chance at a nexus from crystals they probably don't even go for
I thought we got grandmaster crystal fragments in a calendar.
Are we supposed to be excited about this? Increase the percentage drop rates, then we might get excited.
That's what I'm talking about. They need to increase the drop rates. Getting a nexus once about every 6 months is lame.
I highly doubt it's gonna be once about every 6 months. I've opened about 40 cavalier crystals since January, have gotten 3 5-stars from them. My ratio looks more like maybe 1 5-star nexus crystal a year, about which I don't even care, since I have about any 5-star I desire.
I thought we were free to voice our opinions regarding how much Kabam makes the game less enjoyable eveytime. From the glitches to disconnections during wars and crappy rewards.
You are free to voice your opinion that these changes make the crystals worse. Everyone else is free to state that you're wrong.

So you represent everyone now? Lol
I don't represent everyone. What I said is everyone else is free to state that you're wrong, if that's what their opinion is. Which I felt compelled to state, when you implied that your right to voice your opinion was somehow being interfered with. You only have the right to express your opinion, you have no right to be unchallenged in it.
What about the additions to the Basic Pool y'all talked about in the Roadmap? Weren't we supposed to get an update on that when the Class 5 Star Fragment Crystals were added?
When I saw the in game mail title, I thought maybe there was going to be an improvement on solo crystals and summoner advancement points from opening 5 and 6* signature stone crystals. This so called improvement doesn’t impress me at all.
I mean. This is a tiny change in the grand scheme of things (unless you are someone who whales out on crystals). So it's hard to get overly excited about this change. My experience with Nexus crystals hasn't been overly positive to begin with - often choosing between the least awful champs. Now...add GM or cavalier shards to arena milestones instead of PHCs and it might be a bit more exciting.
It nice that Kabam is trying to change things up but I think they could do more. The Crystal percentages should be changed to represent the Arenas or Storyline where you win the shards or Crystals. It’s disheartening when you put in a few hours to play part of a new higher level storyline and you are rewarded with a few shards of Crystal where your percentage for getting a higher star champion is the same as a lower level storyline.
These are positive changes but the drop rates on Cav crystals needs to be improved. Including 3 stars in those crystals is obscene. If a player has spent the time & resources to become cavalier a 3 star is of no use to them, at least in the case of a 4 star there’s a decent amount of useful iso that’ll come from the dupe. A 3 star pull on a 300 unit purchase is a horrible experience never mind dropping an Odin on features to pull mostly 3 stars.
Pardon my bluntness, but I really don’t understand the negativity surrounding this. There is literally no downside to this change at all. Sure it’s a small improvement to the crystals, but it’s an improvement nonetheless.

As much as I can gather, it seems to be a combination of people who like to complain as often as they can, and folks who have been expecting Kabam to improve the crystals and take this change as the improvement that Kabam have come up with, which ends up appearing as a very weak improvement.

It's meaningless. It's like your employer telling you your salary is going up, from 3000$ to 3001$. Statistically speaking, it's going up, but the change is worthless to you.
If they wanted to make a meaningful change, they would have removed 3-stars from cavalier crystals.
Meanwhile there are more pressing issues that need urgent attention, like solo crystals, or war crystals.

Whenever I try to convince someone that literally every player in the game has a completely different set of priorities from every other and they think I'm off base, I'm going to quote this post that calls solo crystals a pressing issue that needs urgent attention.
Sorry, but I have absolutely no idea what this means. If I’m understanding it correctly, if I open a Cavalier crystal and pull a six star, it has a x% to be a nexus six star?

Not precisely how it works, but yeah. Like, a 0.2% chance of the 1% chance at a 6* was replaced with a chance at a 6* Nexus.

I think I get the gist of it now. At any rate, I rarely buy cavs so I doubt this will effect me in any meaningful way. Cool change though
@DNA3000 I typically trust you’re posts cause you’re very assertive in your statements.
I’m a dumb guy and high school drop out, so with that in mind is this a coin flip within a coin flip for it to be a Nexus or are they separate odds?
Cause they way it reads in the in game mail, to a simple guy like myself it says it’s reducing the 1% chance to 0.8% and allotting 0.2% chance for a nexus and that to me reads as separate odds for a pull.
