uhhhh, where do I start. I'm gonna be watching the second episode in a bit but idk. I saw Watchmen last year and while they are both incredibly different shows they both are relying on a sense of confusion from the viewer in order to pique their interest and continue the constant viewership in the show but so far it's a bit too out there. I know there's supposed to be a deeper story but this first episode really made it feel like it was just this and nothing else. In the sense that they're trapped somewhere and sometimes there is just a bit of weirdness. Best way I can equate that weirdness is to something like Legion but for this show it just seems a bit off. Gonna still watch the show and I'm pretty sure I saw a S.W.O.R.D. logo at the end of the episode but it is a very slow burning beginning. Also I'm kinda sad that this episode is basically 20 mins, that almost 30 min time is a bit deceiving
I feel you. It was super confusing, but it's one of those things that when you understand it, it's the best thing ever. Kinda like The Truman Show. Also the run time is deceiving. I watched 7 minutes of credits thinking there would be a post-credits scene.
There wasn't
Same, no end credits scene threw me off lol. On the second episode rn!
Also not really a spoiler but to anyone wondering, the sound design for this show is INCREDIBLE! It actually sounds like lo-fi old school record music (for anyone wondering lo-fi in the traditional sense means low fidelity music that sounds quite different due to an older and less accurate recording of the sound that results in more washiness and graininess.) Sorry for le tangent but yeah, the storyboard director guys really wanted to nail that genre defining look and sound
@Hera1d_of_Ga1actus I’m marking this as a spoiler because it may be to some, but especially when the Marvel Studios logo switches to black and white, the audio goes to mono if you’re wearing headphones
Insanely boring. Don't think I'll waste more time if the third episode is as awful as the first two. I'll have to rewatch the last 10 minutes of episode 2 because I fell asleep....that's how little I was entertained. I fell asleep lol. Might end up stopping the show and coming back to watch the last episode or two of the season.
I haven't clicked on any spoilers but man ya'll are making me excited to watch WandaVision tonight. Wanted to watch it on Friday but family/work life took priority. Hope it's as great as you're making it!
I'm happy the series is live, but disappointed. It's like episodes that are 30ish minutes long, with a three minutes begin sequence and seven minutes end credits.
I just finished it. It was... interesting. I liked it, but it was very strange. I can’t wait to see how the series unfolds! I especially love the sitcom parody aspect of it.

Anyone know what that symbol was?
Apparently, it's the logo of SWORD which is just like SHIELD, only that it deals with cosmic and extraterrestrial threats.

So if I understood correctly, she is trapped in a sealed off town where she is monitored by SWORD because she went insane after Vision died and is warping reality? Also, I am so excited for the twins. That is going to be amazing.

My interpretation is that they are not keeping her there but trying to save her because she is keeping herself in a false reality. Notice how the show so far has always had a "happy ending" even when things go wrong or take a disturbing turn like at the end of the first and second episode. Since SHIELD is no more cause of all that Hydra stuff, SWORD is probably trying to save Wanda but she keeps locking herself up. Honestly just a guess tho

I feel like it’s a little of both. They are helping her stay contained, but also studying her and testing, like with the red helicopter in episode 2

That sounds about right. Because if you notice in the scene in the second episode where Wanda is speaking to Dottie before the talent show, the transmission on the radio is repeating "Wanda. Wanda. Who is doing this to you Wanda?" I don't think SWORD realizes she's doing this to herself as a coping mechanism for Vision's death. They seem to think someone else is doing this to her. Now there is the possibility that someone else is in fact behind trapping her in the false reality. Or maybe they are just egging on her delusion and taking advantage of the situation. I would lean towards the second because I currently believe she's definitely the one who made the fake reality itself.
In that same scene, when Wanda says they mean no harm, Dottie strictly says "I don't believe you." If it's the neighbors that don't feel safe then it's not her prison, it's theirs. They're the ones trapped and she's in charge. And in the first episode, Mr.Hart starts choking exactly when he demanded answers to questions that Wanda couldn't process. Almost as a sort of mental defense mechanism to prevent his prying. I'm pretty sure he wasn't even chewing any food at the time. He just started immediately choking. To take that even further, when Mrs.Hart keeps repeating "Stop it!" over and over, only some are directed at Mr.Hart. After the first few she slowly switches to looking at Wanda every time she said "Stop it!" It's as if she was begging Wanda to stop choking him. To not kill her husband. And it's only when Wanda decides to let him live that she tells Vision to save him. I mean why didn't Vision save him immediately? No one made an attempt to heimlich or anything and I find it hard to believe Vision would just watch a man choke. The reason has to be that he couldn't even try to save him until Wanda decided to save him since she's the one controlling the narrative of this fake reality
i absolutely loved the attention to detail the producers had to scenes and film techniques but i have one complaint. Wanda and Vision kiss too much. And everytime they kiss, my parents somehow time their entrance to my room.... Other than that, I love it so far.
I’m mindful of something I read from Kevin Feige suggesting that WandaVision, Spidey 3 and Doc 2 are tied together.
I think you need someone big to do that, someone from the “other” dimensions. There’s one other long running Doc character who crosses over with lots of other storylines and might be involved, and he might even be more of a lead-in than the name you mentioned—he/she also runs an alt dimension. I’d like to think it all might have been let out by Wanda’s tampering. Who knows?
Not sure how this spoiler feature works, so I won’t go into more. Suffice it to say that I love where the show is going—it reminds me of all the Bewitched and Jeannie episodes that used to run on TBS before everything in cable became so Balkanized. Shows were clean, linear and laugh-tracked like mad. So is WV.
Just watched the first two episodes. Really interesting show still confused as to what is exactly happening but I'm really excited to see where they're going with this.
If you've seen the movie Pleasantville it's giving off those vibes, but overall pretty entertaining and I can't wait for the other episodes to come out.

It certainly wouldn’t surprise me if they were all tied together. I’m not a big comics guy so I’ll do some digging, but that’s another interesting layer to add to it

Cool. Just to make sure I get it right, I will hop on my Netscape browser and check out how to do that on the interwebs.
Did anyone noticed the Hydra written on the watch ? I don't know anything about watches or brand but it could be a hint
those fake ads are supposed to be little nods to the MCU. but maybe there is something with Hydra
It’s about her past. The stark toaster with a blinking red light is the bomb that killed her parents, and strucker is the Hydra guy who experimented on her with Loki’s staff and gave her her powers

Yeah this show, doctor strange multiverse of madness and spiderman 3 are all connected. So something big has to happen in this show.
I believe its going to be wanda breaks the barriers between each universe giving us spiderman 3 with all the rumors of toby and Andrew reprising their roles. Which would then have Doctor strange try to fix everything and put those barriers back in place.

I suspect we could get and ad or something with ultron next episode as that is what I'd say is next in wandas backstory.

I’m guessing Ultron, Quicksilver, Vision, and Thanos in commercials before the main villain is revealed.
