Babies are still crying about this? Move on ladies. Kabam will not change him to what you girls want him to be. It's their game, their rule. Your tears will not change anything. They are buffing champs for us, and most of you ingrates are bashing them. You deserve the regeneration fix lol.
Your adding nothing to the conversation, just being rude for no reason.
Not to mention, just taking the blow when someone is being rude to you and moving on is um...kinda the opposite of manly? Isn't fighting for yourself like, manly? And just being sheepish and passive the "baby" or "lady" move? Not to endorse toxic masculinity, but at least get it right lol

I'm pretty sure its a b-word move to just stand there and watch as you get disrespected or harmed. Taking the blow is the smart moves in the situation, but I think toxic masculinity dictates that fighting back is the manly move.
He is not the same champ, that is the entire point of a rebalance. What I just don’t understand is how you think a minor tweak would have helped hood? You could give him 50% attack all around and he still would have been a champ that can’t trigger a single rage node.
He needed a new damage mechanic. Simply ramping up nothing just would not work. Bleed ? Shock? That’s about all he has. You could see people doing videos with him and he was still not able to do anything.
It’s just weird how all of a sudden, his fate seal was a game changer for so many people. They say it was so I can only assume that, but I’m curious about what the data says.
I’m not trying to pick an argument. All I’m saying is, I think people have been overestimating how effective hoods fate seal has been for them, this is clearly shown when people are fighting her champion boss.
1. No one is arguing against new damage mechanics per se. But damage is ultimately about numbers, and any damage you can add to a champ with new mechanics I can add with changes to damage numbers. That's simple math. If all you care about is damage output, you can increase attack values, you can increase critical rating or critical damage rating or critical damage rating boosts, or even the scale damage values of things like special attacks (basic attacks generally obey a formula that's the same for every champ). Hood's specials don't deal a lot of damage. A number tweak would change that. Numbers tweaks would also improve the damage of Hexes without special mechanics arbitrarily high. The new mechanics are about adding the higher damage in a unique way to the champion, not about it being impossible to add damage with numbers changes.
2. More importantly, it isn't just some players who value fate seal highly: the devs said they *had* to remove fate seal because otherwise Hood would have been too powerful. You cannot simultaneously argue that the devs can think it is so powerful it had to be removed, but the players have to think it was too weak to be worth fighting over. Anything the devs remove for balance reasons is by definition very valuable.
If you're correct that fate seal shouldn't be a big deal to the players, you are making the argument that the devs should have never removed it, because if fate seal is not a big deal and players shouldn't get upset over its removal, by definition the devs were wrong to remove it because they had no exigent reason to do so.
The only thing they can do is forecast. At this point , I wouldn’t mind if they had Hood(Classic) and a Hood( Imbued) and just call it. But from Kabams standpoint it is much better to tune with caution , because once they have to nerf something it gets a lot worse than this.
That's true in general, but it is still the case they cannot have it both ways. They cannot forecast that Fate Seal is problematically too strong, and also forecast that Fate Seal is not strong enough for the players to justifiably complain about. Being cautious implies considering the worst case scenario and if the worst case scenario is that Fate Seal would have been too powerful to keep, the worst case scenario is also that the existing players would believe Fate Seal is too important to jettison, and they should have presumed the reaction they got.
Which would be fine if it was necessary. But as I said, it wasn't necessary. If Hood is too powerful with his existing kit plus the new kit additions, then reducing the strength of *either* would be sufficient to bring him back in line. The devs didn't want to give up their cool additions, but that's not a necessary imperative.
They cannot have it both ways, you are right about that. On paper they probably felt there was a redundancy in fate seal and stagger, which would cover his ability to deal with incoming buffs. They probably forecasted that Fate seal = Nullify+ Stagger= MD nightmare = Constantly invisible = New broken mechanic= Nerf.
They also didn’t intend for him to be a Stagger/ Nullify beast and that probably would have catapulted him to the top over doom, with his power steal and can miss indefinitely etc. I think the easy fix is to give him a Claire Voyant buff immunity so he doesn’t have this interaction with MD. He would still be able to strip buffs , apply staggers , but wouldn’t nullify anything that the immunity stopped. I do think Fate Seal is a useful mechanic for when it’s applied. But I do think it makes him overall to powerful. If the chief complaint is just buff removal I think that works even if it’s for a second or two.
I don’t think his new kit needs to be toned down, I think it’s good and the devs did a great job. I’m curious to see what they come up with.
If he would have been more powerful than doom then they should have toned down his new kit, not his old one.

TL;DR: Everyone is ticked because hood got nerfed in the place where people used him for, Kabam have done a piss-poor job at replying to the backlash and then we had a bunch of bickering amongst us.

There's also the people who ranked him post-berf because they thought some bugs were part of his new kit.

Thank you. They were quick to hop on fixing/taking away the regen but nick Fury's been broken for a while and they can't seem to figure out a fix for that.

Really just a clusterfunk all around.
I feel no sympathy for those people to be honest. The regen looked broken as soon as I saw it. When you see a champion doing something not matching with the text and still take him up, you don't rank up the champ.

All of this could have just been avoided if Kabam took their thumb out, and reverted him to his original kit and just gave him more attack rating.

Hood's abilities read "When the stagger ends".
And to be fair, "ends" is quite a subjective term. Has it ended when it's replaced or when it ends without being replaced? Technically when something has been replaced, the original has "ended", but in terms of the game kabam have decided that that doesn't qualify. Anyone who didnt play Hood before his buff may not have known this was the way it always functioned, and as such would not know that it was bugged.

If something looks broken as hell, you don't touch it. Similar to the side event some months back. As soon as you realize something is wrong, stop doing it. I admit Kabam's champion descriptions are very ambiguous, but the regen was too Op. It was 1% health every combo if at least one of your combo crits, tell me that is not broken.

If the description said ends without replacement, I’d 100% agree. But just because something “looks broken” I don’t think that’s enough. It’s a very subjective term.
Hoods regen matched his description of ending, it’s on kabam to communicate a bug which should have been obvious through testing, or update the description so it’s less vague.
It’s not on people to realise that kabam messed up when it’s something that isn’t as obviously broken. Plenty of champions regen, some more than Hood. Why is Hoods broken at once a combo? But Ghost rider can regen every hit for a period of time, or Morningstar can regen 20% of hits, or once a combo, or blade on demand when blocking.

But it was how he functioned previously. I admit the wording was not great, but if you think the other regens you mentioned compare to this, I don't know what to say. GR can regen only every SP3 and he has very little damage and only available as a 5 star till now. Blade has to power for regen. BWCV has a huge rng factor and again sacrifices damage for health. MS can do that only when she is ramped up and its still rng. I have gone through combos where she does not gain any health. With Hood, its not once a combo, its atleast once. If 2 hits crit its 2% health without any con. With others mentioning X-23, OML and angela. I never said that regen itself was OP. Regen without any trade off is OP. With every other champion mentioned, you lose something when you go for regen. Hood did not have that.
I agree that kabam should test more, but I am still unsympathetic with rank ups only due to his regen.
I rarely post, but this feels like a good time to. I always liked playing hood as he was, & never felt he really need much just a boost in damage like most. But my question is this to the devs, why with Civilwarrior was his utilities kit kept with just a mechanic for him to gain fury all that was need? Could not the same have been done with hood, but with a rebuff add? The new rupture debuff has been added into the mystic class why not allow Hood shots from his pistols cause rupture, have its stack to a point, and allow it to be refreshed with his heavy like his other debuff's original? Also, if they expire have them cause a %of burst damage....
I like this idea. Better than removing his fate seal and regen. And makes sense with the bullet mechanic. Still want the fate seal back though.
Anytime they release a rework and then change it within 24 hours, it should be an automatic rank down. Stripping the regen mechanic after having it live upon release while we tested him out was a low blow. The regen was a perfect trade off for the fate seal removal. Now he’s worse than both pre buff and post buff
While I have yet to test the new Hood, I gotta say, I think his buff has been handled extremely poorly in multiple ways. Firstly, as already stated by many, they removed a key part of a champion’s core utility which sets a dangerous precedent going forward. On top of that, the lack of any information until just before the buff went live helped make this situation even worse since it meant that there wouldn’t be any proper time to make any adjustments or even a statement before it went live. Finally, once the buff did go live, it went live with multiple bugs such as the regen and presumably the bullet loading off of his heavy. If he had been properly play tested before hand, then these bugs may very well have been caught before release. Instead, it was up to the players to find this, with many under the impression that this was working as intended as there was no way to know otherwise. All things considered, I think they should just revert Hood back to his original state and try doing him again at a later date by incorporating the lessons learned from the mistakes made this time, with proper testing before hand. While I do like the more aggressive time table for champion buffs, if it means that there is less time to test them and check for bugs before hand, then I think I would much rather see less buffs per month instead of buffs with multiple bugs.
Babies are still crying about this? Move on ladies. Kabam will not change him to what you girls want him to be. It's their game, their rule. Your tears will not change anything. They are buffing champs for us, and most of you ingrates are bashing them. You deserve the regeneration fix lol.

Lol ok bud. We aren't crying but we are pretty mad because Hood was just gonna get buff not a rework. They changed his whole design and kit. For Hood players this means they have a different character. They shouldn't have done that as all Hood needed was a numbers boost and maybe one more piece of utility but he didn't need a whole new mechanic to replace his other one. Also his regen never got nerfed it was a bug.

Really just a clusterfunk all around.
Clowns.
I feel for those people. Anyone who played hood before should really have known it was bugged.
