I agree with seatin AW and AQ entire month rewards are to low they suck for the time you are away from your family and or your life and general.......AQ and AW Just to repetitive u log in same path in AQ same in war for such little rewards. Just stale in general...and the node designs Kabam is not offering decent solutions for.......alliance events need revamp not good for higher tier player........but also to many worthless champs in the game........but the end game content is going to the moon now with act 6 and act 7 just horrific just strait money grab but seatin said all I’m bored and burned out tbh that’s why I’m stepping away as well for the same reasons.
It's not solely on Roster because you also need skill to get there and get through it. It's another layer.
????? You don't need skill to get through any of Act 6 except for the Champion and GM bosses. Hell, you could put the fight on Auto for any other fight, and with enough units, you can just whale through them. That's why the GM was well received–it was because it was skill based, not roster based. The GM boss just completely refutes your argument since any champ is able to take him down, regardless of "quality".
Periodt.
Points for the Alyssa Edwards GIF. I still disagree. You need skill.
Isnt ur level the deciding factor of progress, the higher ur level the more you have progressed, please correct me if I'm wrong
Well. Summoner Level has been frozen at 60 for years now. If you’re talking about AW or AQ level, perhaps—but more than a few of those players have sunk so many real world resources into their accounts that it’s hard to distinguish what actually defines their progress.
The problem is there's only so much kabam can do for the game. If people want something bad enough and have enough money then all games will eventually get bored quickly. That's why I try not to spend a lot of money on this game. A little bit here and there. If u spend a lot and finish everything quickly then of course it gonna get bored quickly. Another thing is to limit ur game playing each day and make the fun last.
I’m fairly up there in terms of progression- Act 6 completion, V2-4 explores, V1 completed and I play in T2 AW.
I play Map 5 not because Map 6 or 7 are too hard, but because they’re too expensive. I pay about 100k gold/week at the moment and honestly, as someone who despises arena, that’s a hefty weekly chunk for me. If I were to play Map 6 I would be donating 250k+, Map 7, I’m not sure - I’ve never even bothered to look.
AQ should just be free, there is literally no reason for it to cost, it would also do a huge amount to rebalance the non-whales’ gold woes. For me it would be an extra 400k/month so I could R4 another champ. For map 6, they’d be saving 1m.
I really enjoyed incursions, the gold rewards were welcome and even the 5* (would have preferred some 6*) but at this stage in the game you should be able to get the shard rewards every 5 days, not every month. You should be able to buy as many of the ‘features’ dungeon crystals as you can afford, not just 1 - especially with the hugely niche roster requirements foisted upon us.
If I could open 3 5*/week without having to spend that would be giving me 275 6* x 3 per week. It would also begin to alleviate the problem of low sig 5* without having access to signature stones.
How many end game players have 15+ R5 champs at sig 20-40 without spending on the sig deals? I’ve got 110 5* (ish), a fair proportion are awakened, outside of the 6 I’m feeding stones into, I’ve got 1 over sig60

As for the subject at hand, everybody is welcome to their own opinions, and there's a lot of great feedback in that video, and in your responses. Building new content in this game is not easy, nor is it quick. We're always looking at what you guys have to say, and where possible, we plan it into our roadmaps down the line. We planned on giving you guys a glimpse of what's on the horizon in a week or two, but I can see about moving that up.
We're always working to come up with new and interesting things for you all to do in-game, and deliver a constant stream of new content every month. We're also always looking at ways we can improve the existing content for everybody. We've worked on a bunch of Quality of Life stuff, some of which has already come out, and some of which is coming pretty soon (Battlegroup assignments at last!)
Less than a month ago we launched Incursions, one of the craziest, most ambitious projects that we'd ever undertaken. That took 8 to10 months from concept to release, depending on when we decide the start of that concept phase is. The reaction to that was great, and it's motivated us to look around for other areas of improvement, but identifying what we want to do, and then going through an ideation period, planning, building, testing, etc., takes a lot of time. It also takes a specific set of skills. We can't ask one of our designers to build a new game-mode, no less than we could ask a member of the Community team to model and texture a new Champion. I wish we could move faster, but we can't. It's physically impossible, and even more difficult given the current world situation.
I see a lot of conversations about Book 2 Act 1 Chapter 1 (Act 7), and one of our Quest Designers will be making a post for our Beta Testers on the feedback so far in a day or 2. But Act 7 has already seen changes made to it while it's still in Beta testing. We've reduced the Attack Boost twice, and that's only to address one pain point. We know there are others, and we appreciate all of the (constructive) feedback that we've received. The point of a Beta Test is to identify these pain points before the content is live in a test environment so that we can improve the final product and have it in its best shape possible.
Alliance Quest and Alliance War are 2 very important parts of this game. We know there are a lot of opinions about them, and we sure as hell are not ignoring them. We just don't have anything to say on them at this time. You'll see an update to Alliance Quests in the next couple of months that include an update to Rewards, AQ Modifiers, and Mini-Bosses. AW will see a small refresh soon as well, but that doesn't mean we're not already thinking about our next big change.

Just look through this thread and see the spectrum of different ideas and asks. Many of them contradict each other, and many have no appeal to somebody else. Even the video that was posted and the OP's comments are VERY different.
Again, we welcome the feedback, and we're going to discuss it. In fact, I'm going to make sure we discuss this all today. I probably won't have anything to come back with, but I can promise that I will make these points known.
Stop diluting the 6* pool with new 6* awful champs further. Instead, dilute the pool with desirable champs (this way you aren't outright giving good champs away, but giving players (old and new) an opportunity to have NOT have more odds of pulling a new unplayable champ to their collection as with the status quo. (Kabam knows which champs people don't use; look at things like champ usage, and grandmaster crystal purchases for featured champs. Let's be honest, no sane individual spent real money on grandmaster featured civil warrior crystals).
Dilute it with both. You need both for a balance, not just one or the other.
No, there are already enough "bad champs" in the 6* pool. I'm not saying don't include bad champs in 6* featured crystals, just stop releasing bad new champs that weren't a 6* in the first place. So the % of bad champs in the 6* basic pool will gradually decrease. 90% -> 85%-> 80% etc.
Seatin has spent so much on this game in terms of both time and money. I've seen his beta videos he looks like he is losing his love of the game He doesn't deserve this
@cookiedealer Yes, it keeps decreasing but at what point do you stop decreasing the ratio of bad champs:good champs? The point is it should stay pretty high, about 70-80%. You can't just be giving away good champs because then players aren't motivated to open more crystals to get better champs because they already have good champs.

I think you are a great dude with a tough job, but your post doesn’t address the enormous elephant in the room, and that is champion/kit viability
I literally had a post about Magneto deleted yesterday
Until you guys recognize the urgency of getting character buffs done quickly and older characters scaled to the difficulty of the content today...man, like I said, I know your job is tough and thankless, but the fact that we are begging for a Magneto buff five years into the game is a HUGE problem
@Mixalis You need both good champs and bad champs in the pool. You can't expect to always pull a good champ, just like you can't expect to win the lottery.

This was really great to read definitely show u do care abudt us and Community really great to read
More mastery points with more level......we should be able to max them or have mastery tree setup swaps that don't cost anything. We've already paid to open them.
Tone down the ridiculous nodes, if you are going to make these insane nodes.....then don't give the AI huge attack rating. Its not fun dying in 6 hits, Abyss was fun, challenging but you could at least make a few mistakes, Act 6.4 was fun to me, some paths were annoying but still less annoying than most of Act 6.
AW rewards are an absolute joke for where we are currently at.
New champs aren't that exciting at all so far, hopefully that changes but as a grinder who has basically grinded at least 1x for every champ......I'm bored.
Ranking up champs is waaaay too slow. Again I can't rank up a lot of champs that I would love to because I can't. There is no more ranking 4*s for me because the material needs to be used on 5 & 6*s. I would love to max out all of my 4*s and just play with them for fun in content but yet again I can't if I want to stay competitive. So my 4* roster is dead and at this point I have 105 6*s so ranking up 5*s is basically pointless for me because I need to rank 6*s for future content. It's not fun having a huge roster and not being able to max any of them up that I don't typically play with because they just aren't good in most content. People will say you can rank who you want blah blah blah but for endgame players you really can't if you want to stay in a great competitive alliance so just stop. If you aren't at that level then you won't understand and thats okay I don't expect everyone to have the same experience as me and everyone has their own reasons for why they become bored and this is mine. I'm just giving my honest opinions.
Basically I feel like Seatin, I've spent thousands on this game, I love pushing and being competitive but I'm hitting a wall that this is just boring now for me and not worth the effort.
Honestly I have been feeling a drag myself. Haven’t watched this yet but I am not surprised. The push to clear content just feels in vain. War feels it serves no purpose and is painful to play and AQ is AQ boring but there.
Also in The later game the rng feedback loop is broken. The excitement factor of opening is fading. It’s a dread factor more so or just disappointment expectations. I can’t get 6* champions I want to rank with the materials I am getting and there is maybe 5 5* champs I really want if that. Every 6* opening is extremely disappointing because basically there is a small handful of champs I would ever do anything with at this time.
When I have to rank up champs I find myself justifying niche uses for the champ to bring them up knowing likely I won’t use them and just don’t want to waste the materials.
Now my account is no where near that size so I can only imagine what it feels like there.
I have been contemplating a similar break that I took after I explored 5.2 because the game hit this same points. I can’t progress my 6* roster and see no point in progressing my 5* roster. Probably will once I finish Act 6 exploration.
Took about a 6-8 month break then to allow the game to catch up to a place where I actually feel like the game give me the right room to grow and the feedback loop on opening and progression is a positive one. Problem is we are crawling way worse than the right now and the pools have been so watered down that about ever 6* opening is just a drag.
And to add to it the new champs are also just more on the meh side than exciting. Making the pool worse over time not better. Only 2 this year maybe 3 out of 8 fit into the meta where they would be rabkable and usable for endgame content. And most likely that is really 1 or 2 at most to take a real roster slot from the others you already have.
All content I have cleared for the last 3 months has done nothing to make my roster better basically than it already was because the rng rewards combined with scarcity add up to just putting in the stash.. Abyss clear nothing. Act 6 clear nothing. 6.2 exploration nothing. At some point you ask why am I wasting my time on this game for if the content I’m clearing isn’t making me actually stronger in game.
Love the game spent years playing it but the feedback loop is broken. Opening a rarer crystal shouldn’t feel like dread but excitement. Problem is most people opening a 6* feel dread because it takes A long time to get there and the pool is trash for the most part . Then opening. A t5CC is dread because you need 1 of 6 to match the 1 or 2 6* you have from the trash pool you would use it on.
I’d pin this comment if I could.
Broken feedback loop—yes.
It’s like the game team decided to replicate the problems that necessitated 12.0, but on multiple micro-scales. Instead of needing only 2-3 jackpot champs, they created multiple niche scenarios, each of which required its own set of jackpot champs.
And yet it gets harder and harder to get those champs as the pool gets ever more larded.
It just gets old. The Skinner Box only works if you actually get a real reward once in a while.
Dr. Zola
I agree, @Timone147 's post almost perfectly describes where I am in the game and how I feel about it at the moment. Broken feedback loop is a brilliant description.
My account is 10.1k prestige but I'm stuck waiting on a handful of specific champs I need to plug the gaps in my roster and have a crack at the Abyss.
Act 6 initial clear done, V2,3 and 4 100%, v1 cleared with a good chunk of exploration done, 1 path done on LOL. I have no motivation to go for act 6 exploration because apart from the Grandmaster fight, I didn't enjoy any of it.
I look at the game now and it's disheartening to think I've got to grind units to clear unenjoyable bs nodes to ultimately open crystals that will most likely result in disappointment.
Just about everyone I've spoken to at my level, semi casual, upper mid tier, not end game but playing end game content share similar frustration and diminishing enthusiasm. Stuck until RNG gives us a break, not enjoying the content and nodes that are being thrown at us.
@Kabam Miike Thanks for the acknowledgement, it was honest and reasonable. I think my oversimplified synopsis of what’s wrong with the game currently is the economy of the game does not lineup with the content. I thinks it’s really as simple as that. If you want to come out with crazy nodes that only can be solved with obscure champions than allow more resources to be obtained so that ranking up those champions isn’t such a depressing choice. If you want us to keep playing war, make it really worth while. Right now you can spend $100 on a season or just buy a couple offers that triple what you would get in platinum without the stress and fear of messing up or just a mean alliance that kicks you after a mistake or two. I could go on and on but frankly I believe saying the nexus between content and economy is broken is pretty succinct.
Variants were great because of one main reason, they gave some restrictions which limited some champions, with still around one third of all the champions pool to be usable but whilst making let's say around 5% of the champion pool amazing and with extra bonuses. They need to carry on these trends threw out act 7, by the further a node limit a champ the further it should improve some other. If Kabam had been clever they could have played the long game with 6*, allowing all champs in the 6* pool to be to have some path in act 6 and 7 in which they were the amazing champs, and by amazing I mean what V3 does for techs and sentinel and what V2 does for certain XLS, the pool is getting slightly to bit for this but it would still be possible to resolve. E.G one path could improve joefixit, rhino, juggaugt, veneompool, Howard the duck ect and be called Size matter giving them all ability to do unblockable, unstoppable on dash, decrease power for opponent and 20% fury for every 0.5 second they have the opponent in the corner. If you could open a 6* and know that atleast I can use them for this path in which they would be FUN it would be alot better.
Just out of curiosity how long does it take to buff a champ or rework them, however you put it. Becuase if kabam can release 2 champs every month what's stopping them from releasing 1 champ but reworking/buffing another. There wont be need for a beta because the buff/rework will be treated as sort of a new champ not requiring a beta. I'm not well invested in how these things work but to me it looks like a good idea. Any things to add on?
I've been a player a month after release, I've completed up to act 6.4 explored all variants completed AOL. I'm at 79% exploration of 6.2 and can't bring myself to finish 6.2.5 & 6.2.6 and honestly don't ever see myself exploring more act 6/7 it's not worth the frustration.
I have 23 5/65s 4 R2 & 1 R3 6*s including ghost and quake.
I used to play plat 1 AW but found the effort v reward wasn't worth it moved to an alliance in gold 1 instead. It's says something when we actively try to lose to avoid tier 5 & the BS Global nodes.
AQ is boring but it's AQ it's always been a means to an end.
Uncollected event quest is becoming a waste of time for the resources cavalier difficulty is months overdue.
The alliance event rewards are so outdated it's a joke, phc Shards? 4* Shards? Really??
Arena is and has always been tedious the bots make it even worse.
Incursions have no point to me I don't need anymore 5*s or gold.
I literally have to make excuses to Rank up champs because frankly I don't have a reason to anymore.
I've Keep asking myself what am I actually playing for now? 6*s take forever to form to pull garbage always being diluted further.
The game has become more and more pay to win, for me the reason I loved this game you could push to the top without spending your life savings eg: Brian grant who has also accepted that he can no longer compete.
This will be the first month I'm no longer buying the sigil or 750 unit deal would rather use it for a subscription to an MMO where the devs actually care about their players
I'm Now moving to an alliance doing map 5 and no aw will give AOL exploration a bash with my new aegon hopefully will give me something to work towards if not it's looking like the end for me to.
Thanks netmarble for ruining a great game thats when it all started going downhill for me they known for their greed.

I'm sure it takes a long time. The champs that they're releasing have been planned out for a long time. It's really not possible for a rework to be done in 1 or 2 months, I think.

I still disagree. You need skill.

Again, we welcome the feedback, and we're going to discuss it. In fact, I'm going to make sure we discuss this all today. I probably won't have anything to come back with, but I can promise that I will make these points known.
I've seen his beta videos he looks like he is losing his love of the game
He doesn't deserve this
Yes, it keeps decreasing but at what point do you stop decreasing the ratio of bad champs:good champs? The point is it should stay pretty high, about 70-80%. You can't just be giving away good champs because then players aren't motivated to open more crystals to get better champs because they already have good champs.
It is. It really, really is
The thing about this is that, idc.
Found out that he doesn’t speak for most.
Clearly he doesn’t speak for me.
Me
More mastery points with more level......we should be able to max them or have mastery tree setup swaps that don't cost anything.
