i have gone through pages and pages of this, with only one argument. There is no need to explain it anymore. The matchmaking is how it is, now. We heard complaints before, we will hear complaints now. Just accept and adapt. I support this matching tbh, our matches havent changed really, we are high enough to keep facing the same prestige folks (albeit a little stronger), but it is alright. It finally feels fixed.

It's not the same level of difficulty. It takes me 5 large 100 unit potions to fully heal a R5 5*. It only takes 2 to fully heal a R5 4*.
And all of the smaller alliances are not fighting the latest and greatest defender right when they are released. If Sasquach turns out to be a great defender, you can bet the next war, a high prestige alliance will see them in abundance. Lower level alliances will not see top flight defenders for months.

Wait so if an alliance with 300 prestige Was to do map 5 in AQ and they clear all of the map then they should get the same rewards as an alliance with 10500 Prestige doing map 5 because at the end of the day the Higher prestige alliance might be facing higher rated opponents but they have better champs so it’s the same thing, I see, mmm so equally a guy with 2* hero’s doing beginner level in the monthly event quest should get the same rewards as a guy with 5* doing uncollected. Food for thought. Why are there so many complaints? Because the lower prestige folks are facing r5 dooms, things, nicks, mojos, warlocks at max, and sometimes r3 defenders. The map is littered with r3 6* and mainly r5 5*. They find it "too" difficult. This is pretty much how EVERY war in a higher prestige looked like. I've been seeing the argument that it isn't fair, but imagine facing these defenders every war, and placing lower than folks who face 4* defenders. This is the only reason i support this change.

My alliance, where people are at level just begining to rank 4 their 5 star champions, many still have 4 star maxed champions as their "go-to" champions, are being matched with opponents who have multiple Rank 5 5 stars. There is world of difference between summoners in my alliance and summoners from the alliance we being matched with, in terms of experience in game as well as skill level. One needs empathy to understand how someone else may feel about this new system of match making. I saw an example above where an underdog football team won the championship. I do not think that example is at all relevent here. Many of who have pointed out the unfairness of the new matchmaking system are just saying we could have won if we did not have this unfair disadvantage.

because they benefited from the broken system and refuse to accept that. they claim the new one is imbalanced, and it will be for the beginning. however, it'll be normal if you just play wars and find the right tier. grounded clearly benefited from the old system and when it changes for the better, it's about the little guys that he cares about. like I said before, he wanted the gates for act six because it wouldn't matter for him and it curved progression. now that this affects him and people are being placed where they shouldo, it's a terrible change and unfair for everyone else. don't feed the troll anymore. You can spend out the Ying Yang, but unless you get those Wins with it, you don't get anything besides Participation.
I think this is great people will actually be in the correct spots now, but in the beginning it will seem way off and eventually get where it should be and balance out.

yeah at face value you're right. But you don't have the fire power to beat a stronger alliance. I mean I get that you and others tasted sweet success, to only have a bitter after taste now. Totally understand that. But you're not taking into the account of all the alliances that were shafted for the past 10+ seasons while they watched alliances who don't have a place on their field get more compensation????
Obviously they did have a place on their field because they worked their way up there with Matches they had a chance of winning, and because people were breaking even on their own Wars, they weren't getting ahead.

I'm not. Don't know how many times I've said I'm not here for myself. I'm here because I called it the second they announced the change, and now people are getting dumped on for being treated unfairly when all they did was play their own bloody Wars. So many bitter people on here.
Yes they can. That was the whole point of what I just said. They have valid complaints and all other people are doing is pouring salt on the wound because they're lapping it up.
It's not like all these alliances went 0-12 in a season and dropped a tier. Let's say an alliance started in Plat4 when they first shifted to prestige based match making. If that alliance goes 6-6 every season thereafter, they dropped little by little each season as smaller alliances took their spot in Plat4. Eventually, they get pushed down to Gold 1 and possibly Gold 2 just because they win and lose half their wars. Under normal circumstances winning 50% is good enough to keep you in the same tier.
Every single alliance has a chance to win every other single alliance, depending how they play.
If a 5k prestige alliance can go for max diversity and 0 deaths against Ken0b, they deserve the win.
So rather than choosing whichever argument suits you best for a counterpoint, then flipping around and picking the flip side of it for another counterpoint, just stick to one.
