Wait... is this the real Karatemike?! OMG fangirl mode activated lol.
Woah woah woah, you're a girl 😰? Ngl, that kind of explains the "My friends and I tried to lick our elbows" thing. (Not being sexist, it's just totally something my sister would do.) 😶
No its a joke like I won't say fanboy it makes more sense saying fangirl lol. And who the heck would try to lick their elbows if they were girls? Boys are so cracked I can't imagine any girl doing that. @Etjama

I'm telling you, dude. It's totally something my sister and all her friends would do.
The criticisms are pretty much still valid because of course he’s going to be a beast on a full mutant team, the problem is how many times is anyone really going to run a full mutant for that juicy 60% attack boost? He potentially has the same problem Invisible Woman has which is that she’s ridiculously overshadowed by the team and as a result having no real purpose or practical use.
If someone’s running Apocalypse, they’ll most likely bring champions like AA, Mags, Colossus, Omega Red, Domino, etc, etc. if your using this stacked of a team when why would anyone bother to use Apoc and that’s not to say it’s because he’s bad, but those other mutants are also really really good, there’s just a redundancy to it all.
I’ll admit I am excited at the prospect of running a full mutant team that covers all ground in terms of utility, but to do that your roster has to be deep.
Which makes it embarassing how bad the testing of the CCP is. None of them take a realistic approach to testing. I don't have a Cable lying around to use, nor would I use resources just as aid for one champion. I do not consider an all-mutant team reasonable, I need my slots for other counters. In reality I would only bring Apocalypse with Archangel.
@Colonaut123 Hmmm - so you never brought Wasp along with Ghost? Sabretooth for Omega? Champion for Thing? Proxima for Corvus? Fury for CMM - I think you get the point. Synergy exists.
Sorry we embarrass you though my dude! 💪🏻
@Karatemike415 That's what I said. I would bring Apocalypse with Archangel. But I wouldn't fill my entire team with mutants just to boost the attack of Apocalypse to Beyond Dud Tier.
I do believe testing should be broad, to include as many situations. Unlike whales, not everybody have all champions in all rarities, and sufficiently ranked-up to be useable.
This is not a specific criticism to you, but a general critique to the CCP programme. It lacks player diversity.
I don't think the CCP program is there to test the viability of a champ... I think they have access so they can make gameplay videos to build hype and catch any broken element which might needs to be nerfed before the release. And to do the later, using the ultimate best team does the job.
Secondly, I don't think the CCP program should be expanded because it is a huge advantage to players who can test anything without any rank up catalyst cost or revives. I am ok with the CCP having that advantage because most of them are whales anyway but to give that kind of advantage to normal players gives that a huge advantage over those that are not in the test program.
That's the crux: is the CCP just a marketing scheme, or a testing ground? It is probably both, but it does mean there is an imbalance. Almost all CCP'ers are either whales or endgame players and this gives a biased picture of a champion.
I would really want to see Seatin or Lagacy doing a vid with only one other mutant team member. Is Apocalyps still good then? What without Cable or Mr. Sinister? Apocalyps is by far the most overhyped champion of 2020.

Someone has to stand for the middle man who didn't pay to win, or won the Marvel Casino of Champions, or who don't play like 4 hours a day, or who isn't beyond goofy skilful, or whatever reason that player is just middle to road, struggling to do content.
Apocalyps is certainly a decent champion and by far not the worst champion of 2020 (that goes to Terrax or Air-Walker), but I did laugh when a certain CCP'er compared him to Warlock. Warlock doesn't need synergies, he has the big yellow numbers and is pretty much a cheat-code for the majority of difficult mutant fights (Mr. Sinister, Havok, Domino, Iceman,...). Apocalyps has his advantages, and he's an absolute power house for Act 5.2.4 or annoyingly passive defenders like Mordo. But he has pillow hands without a full mutant team and is annoying to ramp-up without Cable or Mr. Sinister, and his horseman ability is absolutely bonkers, but also wrecks himself. He's a great support champion and that's probably why he is so valued. You bring Apocalyps to KO one mutant champion, get those 4 charges, spend it on your favourite main mutant and then never look at him again.

The fact that you just referred to him as "beyond dud tier" is actually blowing my mind after the hours of footage out there for you to base that of of haha.
You don't NEED to bring 4 mutants with you for Apocalypse to be an incredible champion. You need to bring ONE - Cable or Sinister. If you're going to be using him for the entire path (which is incredibly viable & realistic... incredibly) then you have no reason not to bring additional synergies as well. Professor X & colossus, magneto, etc, etc.
You can use Apocalypse with Cable, and then either make another mutant a horseman to finish the entire lane - or finish the lane with Apocalypse himself. Either way is incredibly viable in various forms of content - ESPECIALLY content that isn't "endgame" content, which is apparently what you're more interested in seeing.

Oh, you just need two mediocre champions nobody would ever rank-up. Silly me!
If what you say is true, why don't I see much more solo videos of Apocalyps? Like, no other mutant, just him? Because he needs every bit of extra attack he gets from his solo synergy. His attack rating is below average (47% percentile), his crit rating is outright low (27% percentile) and his crit damage is even lower (17% percentile). All of his damage comes from his debuffs and his burst damage from his special attacks.
His utility is unique and situational, but not that earth shattering. It's a bit like Ghulk: good against one particular node and certain tricky fights, but average against the rest.
He's a lot like White Mags or Heimdall: purely a synergy champion. You just want to horseman your main mutant. Once you lost the four charges, you won't do much finishing...
The criticisms are pretty much still valid because of course he’s going to be a beast on a full mutant team, the problem is how many times is anyone really going to run a full mutant for that juicy 60% attack boost?
But he gets damage boosts for each character on your team that is a mutant. For synergies or horseman-ifying or whatever, but that makes him usable

Mutant class is packed with much better champions. Resource competition is high. Sinister is a decent champion, but being decent is not enough.

Wondering if Heimdall can do a LOL fight
I said "like". White Magneto can do LOL fights as well.

I'm telling you, dude. It's totally something my sister and all her friends would do.
I would really want to see Seatin or Lagacy doing a vid with only one other mutant team member. Is Apocalyps still good then? What without Cable or Mr. Sinister? Apocalyps is by far the most overhyped champion of 2020.
If that's really what you've gotten from all of this, then I'm truly at a loss.
Leave him at rank 1 if you get him - it's your account, my dude. It's not my job to convince you 🤷🏻♂️
💪🏻
Secondly, that's the joke.
