@Kabam Miike pliz. We need rank Down ticket it May Not be devstiy is gone for ever but we use resucer ther Not thah esay to get im event get more tier4cc thah tier4b.
well, thats it for me, i cant be bothered to face harder nodes at lower rewards and without diversity its gonna be a medusa, modok and until kabam fixes domino probably a domino fest in aw. time to say goodbye.
So I feel everyone should just place 2* on defense, 100% every map, and not spend anything on potions? Seems like a reasonable protest to the upcoming changes. Especially since I know a lot of guys out there ranked up a lot of pitiful champs to maintain diversity, myself included. Kabam is tone deaf in their approach and I haven't even got to check out the MD changes. I dread seeing what they are. I think it's time to go FTP, maybe even solo.
If you could get everyone to agree to that, you might as well convince everyone to disband their alliances and reform new ones, then fight exactly one war where no one kills anything, then have the entire game end with an identical season score, which would mean everyone would be tied for first place and qualify for master one rewards.
If nothing else, we'd be on the front page of Kotaku for a while.
Please stop just saying, “the meta of the game has changed.” That’s an intentionally ambiguous way of not having to give a fuller explanation.
In the past, for 12.0, you have us RDTs because you made sweeping changes to champs. We could use them on anyone, not necessarily those nerfed, the rationale for which being that our decision to use rank up resources was influenced by the structure of the game at the time we made those rank ups.
When ranking up Dorm a year ago, Blade and Gulk were not factors that we relied on when ranking. Additions like new champs or masteries or content are not reasons for RDTs. But deciding to rank up Dorm very well was influenced by already-existing constructs such as MD/dexterity and defender diversity. The former will significantly reduce the number of his degen triggers, and the latter will be obsolete entirely. Such changes to in-game features that had already existed and influenced previous rankups isn’t just “changing the meta.” You’re providing us reasons to rank up champs and taking those exact reasons away.
If diversity will be permanently deleted, then RDTs are completely valid requests you should honor. But what worries me more is that you indicate it could come back. Do you really not consider diversity to be that important of a factor on game performance and resource allocation that you’re willing to just swing it back and forth in front of us as many times as needed until your little experiment tells you whether it should exist or not?
TL;DR - either keep diversity in place or give RTDs for each time you decide to take it away/bring it back.
I am really not pleased with this decision to remove diversity, since my alliance ranked up a lot of champs for diversity and now they are absolutely worthless. Please give us the option to rank them back down, those resources aren't easy to come by and several of us are now considering quitting the game.
I really like this game, so i am making some noise in order to avoid rage quitting it.
If you remove diversity, provide rank down tickets, no matter what the future brings. Please.
A mixture of diversity and good defenders required discussions, strategy. By this, it will be easy af. Just pop some spidey, medusa, nc, etc everywhere. And letting the RNG have a big influence in defender roster. If you dont have good defenders, alliances will not need you.
Also saying by diversity matches were already decided at the start is a lie. It will be decided by this “innovation”, because the alliance with more money will win.
So just to clarify you guys have removed diversity points so we free to place as many duplicates of Champs with no penalty?
This is correct, but keep in mind that the Meta of the Game has changed a lot since we introduced Defender Diversity, and players have become pretty accustomed to many of the "top defenders" and have counters at the ready! This also does not mean that Diversity won't return in a future season.
@Kabam Miike in a game like this where rank ups are a big decision in terms of progression, changing back and forth between diversity/not diversity its huge for the players. If thats the case, we all need rabk down tickets to adjust with this nonesense AW iterations you describe.
These forums are going to explode on the first day of AW Attacking after the changes, if you think its bad now get strapped in because its only going to get more negative towards kabam, unless they do something prior to the changes to help the players ease into the transition.

I wish everyone could get together and do just this, but know it will never happen. Plus, we would all need to do 5 wars to qualify for rewards otherwise no one would get anything.
i highly suggest we should have something given to us to accommodate the change in the game mechanics as we have to change to them nearly every patch. also when is carnage getting buffed?
Bro last season there was a 4-week break. This time there's 2 and going forward there will be 2. So it's not any shorter.
8 week season + 4 week break + 8 week seasons +2 week break = 22 weeks
4 week season +2 week break + 4 week season + 2 week break + 4 week season + 2 week break + 4 week season = 22 weeks.
Unless I'm missing something, it'll balance out to be the same. You just get season rewards payed out at more frequent intervals: every month instead of every 2 months.
Ahh...but they said the initial break (after season 1) was long because they wanted to analyze all of the data from the very first season and that the breaks between seasons would not all be the same (hinting that they could be less or could be more). That way they can always hide behind never officially answering anything. So the break was never officially 4 weeks, or 2 for that matter.
Keep diversity. But, make it cap at 90 or 120 rather than 150.
I actually like this idea too. It still benefits those that ranked up champs purely for diversity points under the old format yet gives alliances some flexibility in deciding who to place. It would be a nightmare to manage rosters still, but nothing that many of us have not already grown used to.
like the shorter season but the price to complete the maps just quadrupled. No more free fights and harder nodes.
So, with the exception of those Nodes on Challenger and Expert that we mentioned, we haven't made any other nodes harder. The new Nodes are meant to make things more difficult, but will also be visible from the get go, so Attackers are able to bring in champions to specifically counter whatever Champion they see there.
Removing diversity is much more important than the new nodes. There's gonna be 10+ IMIWs and Dorms on every map. I get why you did it, but it just stinks for the players.
I don't think anybody wants to place 10 Dormammu on a Map anymore... The Meta has shifted quite a bit since Diversity was introduced, and some of the former best Defenders have met their match now. Others may seem difficult right now, but Players have already started to find the counters needed for them! This will continue to happen in cycles, because that's just the nature of a game like this!
Actually, this does have a solution to it baked in. While we're also going to be making sure this is something we continue to monitor for, and act on, 2-Star Wars only became effective towards the end of a Season when there was no need to worry about moving up or down. This is no longer the case, because there is no time when you are "safe" anymore.
I'm sorry, but say what? The point to colluding with your opponent to place trivial defenses is that both sides maximize their points in that war while spending no potions. This doesn't just increase points and save potions, the act of saving those potions also potentially makes them stronger in any way they fight where there is no collusion and the fight is an actual competitive fight.
I'm not sure precisely what you're thinking here, but whatever it is, it is wrong. Collusion always benefits both alliances colluding provided both agree which alliance would have won. At higher tiers where there are fewer alliances, there are more obvious mismatches, more certainty about who has the higher probability of winning, and greater benefits to collusion. This has nothing to do with what point during the season you are in. If collusion was actually legal, it would be beneficial to do this throughout the entire season whenever the opportunity arose.
I definitely see where you're coming from, and agree with basically all of it. However, from what we saw, the bonus from actually Winning Alliance Wars, especially in the beginning of the Season, can make a huge difference for progression and standings on the Leaderboards, and 2-Star Wars saw a resurgence towards the end of the Season.
But like I said, we've also made our stance clear on that, and will be monitoring for, and taking action against Alliances that partake in this kind of behaviour.
It seems unlikely to me that there was a surge in collusion towards the end of the season because those alliances felt "safe." It is more likely that collusion became more frequent towards the end of the season because top tier alliances were in a more informed position about the strength of the competition. For collusion to work, both sides have to agree that one side has such a high probability of winning that it is better for one side to forfeit the small chance at the victory bonus for a guaranteed chance at a higher non-winning map score. That calculus is easier to do when both sides are better informed about the other side's strengths. If both sides cannot agree on which side would almost certainly win, collusion becomes non-trivial to coordinate.
Also, your collusion announcement was posted on June 22. The season ended basically on June 26. Are you saying 2* defense wars continued past June 22, or did they stop entirely in the last week of the season?

you didnt even know what a 2* war was till 2 weeks ago and now you talking about having made a deep analysis on them for all season? You either didn't know then or knew and didn't move onto penalties till it was stirred publicly. What the heck?
How do you guys not see the writing on the wall? Revenue is down. While this in and if itself is a massive money grab, there is a simple reason why they won’t give RDT. They’re going to start selling them. Probably around $100 for a 5 Star RDT.
My friend spent approximately $500-800 to get 4t2a through various t2a shard deals since few months ago.
He used the extra 4t2a to rank up a defender with diversity to r4 just to increase the amount of r4 defenders for the alliance and more chance for a kill.
Now, by removing diversity, his rankup choice has become a bad one since there are other better known stronger defenders he can place now without penalties.

What’s the point of having a community if it’s a one way street. It take two to tango and I don’t see anyone dancing right now...

No mainly IMIF
Season 1 8 Weeks = X Rewards 6.5 Rewards per Year
Season 2 10 Weeks= X Rewards 5.2 Rewards Per Year a 25% Reduction.
I can explain it with apples if its easier
