BG is not fun this season, heres one reason why

Every tier in the GC after Diamond seems to follow the same pattern:

Win 4 matches, then on the fifth lose, then possibly lose again, then go back up again to 4 tokens, then lose again.

How is that exactly 100% of the time on the 5th token of vibranium we are put up against a ultra whale? This was not the case last season.

This pattern was what I dealt with all of diamond and vibranium and honestly dumps on the game mode.

Not to mention the countless input issues..

Yes, I disagree with the changes to the VT as well.
Just a suggestion. If I get one away, I just use Shields. Depending on what I have for Units, I may have to Grind in between Matches, but it's a hell of a lot less stressful than up-down-up-down-left-right-left-right....

putting 3 lvls on vibranium and each requiring 5 wins is not doable for lots of average players
3-4 wins then lose back, its not fun at all
@kabam in my opinion, i think requiring 3 wins on each lvl and 5 win for entering GC should be the enjoyable way for lot of us

Agreed, I've been stuck in Vibranium 3 for days now and the same thing happens to me, win four (against Paragons somewhat stronger than me) and then on the fifth one mega whale with r5 6* and r2 7*, I basically stand no chance.
Hopefully next season won't be this bad once the seeding system is implemented, I think it's absolutely ridiculous that even Paragons with r4s and r3s can't make it to Uru 3 now because of the extra tiers and how fast the game is moving, I would've already been in Uru 3 if it wasn't for the extra tiers and the mega whales who for some weird reason are still stuck in Vibranium when they should've already been in Gamma with accounts that big.

I might be wrong, but I think 80% of the reason vibranium is so difficult is to make it hard for average players to get to GC. Last season we had like over 100k people in BGs which meant you had to get almost 200 points just to get out of Uru 3.

On the bright side, VT and GC is something kabam keeps an eye on, and if not enough people are getting to GC, then they might make changes to it.

Not everyone has 50/50 win rate. My personal win rate through VT has been about 95%. Also shields can combat the 50/0 win rate and still allow average players to get into GC 😉

You're not the only one in the game mode, and the problem is is places that exceptional expectation on all Players.

Bro I have literally lost 45 of my last 50, I’m thronebreaker with 1 R4 6* and 3 7* R1 I stand no chance against anyone I verse.

If VT doesn’t change, expect that ratio to gradually decline each season till it gets to 50% for you too, since players will gradually step out.
That’s the death spiral consequences even for good players.
Don’t get me wrong I’m at 70% win ratio and currently at Vibranium 3 by doing only the daily objectives, not a single match more.
Because the idea of grinding VT to reach GC, doesn’t look good with so many 5 token tiers even with a 70% win ratio.
I can’t even imagine how frustrating should be for those that are around 50%, let alone anyone below that.
No GC shouldn’t be for everyone, but it shouldn’t be for a small elite also as it is with the current VT setup, because BGs are sentenced to die sooner or later due to participation drop.
I don’t know if I enter GC this season, it will be a matter of luck anyway as far as I won’t push hard grinding.
Since I’ll do only my objectives matches, if I’m lucky on my drafts and win most matches then I’ll enter GC.
Anyway these few additional GC rewards won’t be account changing 🙂

This is not even close to an unlikely pattern, given the data you provided. The sample size is far too small.

As far as your apparent implication that Kabam is rigging the matches to keep you from advancing, you need to ask yourself: why would they care? Why would they bother? IMO they could not care less if you are in Diamond or Gold or whatever.

Yes, I don't agree that it's rigged. I think the larger issue is the expectation of 10 Tiers with 1 Token per Win.

I believe the major factor is the BG event milestones. A lot of big accounts are intentionally staying in VT until the last minute for rank rewards. It became more known last season how players were staying in VT tiers to farm milestone points. Seeding should solve this, but that's yet to be known.

The number of people in GC this time around is ridiculously low.
I'm in Quantum III with just 112 points.
I did have to grind like a madman to get through vibranium.
Surprisingly, my matchups in vibranium were borderline unfair while I'm matching people roughly at a similar level in the GC

I was trying so hard to do that but the game literally kept matching me with people so much lower than me that they kept instantly forfeiting and catapulted me into the victory track lol

Taking out the additional rewards and extending the grind to get to the GC seemed like such a surefire strategy to increase player sentiment and involvement. I wonder why it backfired

They 100% made the the final push into GC 3 rounds of 5 wins to encourage shield use/spending, its just so grindy and tedious, more and more players will just lose interest if following seasons follow the same grind

My pattern was to win 20 in a row to easily make it to the GC. That's what I'd recommend.
