The first picture is of the Event Quest Completion solo event, which I presume started before the solo crystal changes went live. It shows 2,100 solo crystal shards which seem to be separate from the 42K solo crystal shards from events which started after the change went live. There seems to be no way for me to redeem the shards noted in the first screenshot, they do not appear anywhere in the crystal tab at all.
I don't remember how many shards I had built up, but I can work backwards:
about 1.3 million lower and 2.7 million of the greater. Allowing players like me to keep those and convert them to the highest tier solo crystal at the implied conversion rates (solo crystals 10:1, greater solo crystals 5:1) would have handed me about 400 Supreme Solo Crystals. I'm not sure why there are players out there doubting the fact that there are players who had tons of these: I actually opened a bunch a year ago: I could have had almost double what I had yesterday.
They would have been crazy to hand players like me hundreds of those. And for those calling Kabam "stingy" that's silly: Kabam gains nothing, and loses nothing directly from handing me 400 supreme solo crystals. It is all the players that didn't have massive hoards of shards that would lose out there. Those crystals originally contained a built in value that handed the players who accumulated them *some* advantage over other players, but not a terribly large one. The supreme crystal contains a much larger value, and thus a much larger advantage. It would be a bad idea to allow players to retroactively gain all of that benefit through years of crystal shard hoarding that occurred before the supreme crystal even existed.
The players who wanted to convert their shards, I can understand that. But framing this as a player vs Kabam thing is simply wrong. This isn't about what Kabam is willing to give to "the players." It is about how far Kabam should tilt the scales toward *some* players over other players.
The events that were already running prior to the changeover lists SOLO SHARDS which are still the “lesser” version of the old shards (note, only the greater versions actually had a qualifier name ie, greater, to them. The lesser were always just named Solo).
And so now the new system only has one type of shard, just called Solo (but is different from the old Solo shards). The new Solo Shards can be used to buy any of the 3 crystals (unlike the old system).
And similarly for @DaRealMcCoy , there were (are) some overlapping events today that some were started prior to the change (so still has old style crystal shards), at same time as some events that started later (which contained the new style).
Shards that you were earning from the earlier events still went into the individual bucket style crystals of “lesser” vs “greater”. You thought maybe you were earning some of the new style, but some of those events today were still giving old-style (which got auto-converted to whole crystals, as per what was supposed to happen).
Are duel credits going to be something we can earn elsewhere? Or better yet, are there plans to remove the duel cost?

Even then, I scored 47k in the first Skill Combat event but failed to receive any ranked rewards. Pretty odd, will file a bug report if it happens again for the current Class Combat event.

People simply can't argue that 4* champs are useless - they clearly aren't. Even if they can't be used in Endgame content, there are other places they can be.
I noticed that there are no points for using 5* and 6* arena boosts in the class arena combat 7-hour events. Since those are in the game now, shouldn't they be added?
If u do not what people to stock pile crystals give them an incentive to open them.
